Vetting and asking the right questions to a potential marriage partner has been taboo for so very long in western culture. We ask all of the wrong unimportant questions, and never the ones that really matter. We are embarrassed about the wrong things, but will have a child without knowing anything about the father or mother we produce children with. Things are so out of balance and backwards. I am so glad that this conversation is being had I felt this way for years. I actually vetted my husband at age 25 and I got the dirtiest looks and opinions for it. We had a beautiful 13 year marriage until his passing. I am so grateful for my common sense. So many people need to hear this.

As a married man myself, I disagree with Pastor Chandler, who is one of my favorite Pastors. Anthony O'neal is not single by choice. True love is hard to find, no matter how much money you have, that's just the honest truth. Let's normalize this fact and stop shaming those who haven't found love as soon as some of us have.
My 2nd point is that everybody's story is different, some find love at 25, and some do at 45 and news flash we all have baggage. There is no GPS or manual to finding love. As long as you love yourself and focus on your grind and self improvement you will eventually find your match. Pray God for a wife AO but shoot your shot too. Society will have you believe you are the problem if you're single in your 30's but that is far from the truth.

I wasn't open to marriage so I didn't pray for marriage. God will grant you the true desires of your heart, we just need to ask and work at the marriage. As you get to know the potential life partner, ensure that you are daily prayerfully focused on the same goals. I believe that if Mr. O' Neal pursued his desire for a wife like he pursued his business and academic degrees, he will have a wife that will bless his life more than he can think or fathom. There is no shame in being single if that's what God has chosen for you at this time. May God richly bless pastor Chandler's book and share his message for all to learn.
I have been in 3 long term relationships since I was 15 married twice the info you give for me is amazing I’m 37 & I’m giving myself at the minimum 1year to be single I’m expecting it to longer cause I’m so used to pouring my energy into other people and the return is real just lessons learned from making bad decisions or choosing the wrong people so I’m now about to pour all my energy into myself so you are much appreciated for your content

Wow!! He had Stephen Chandler on his show! I knew him before he was a pastor! My husband and I have visited “ Union Church”, what used to be called, Destiny Harvest . The Lord has definitely grown him and some mighty ways! 😱So cool to see that he is spitting truth! My husband is multi millionaire and has a few businesses. He says the same thing about people mis quoting scripture about money. I am so proud to see health Christian black people living with this knowledge!🙌🏾❤️

Great episode. This is my first introduction to Pastor Stephen Chandler. He is spot on. I'm also glad Anthony was honest about his fear and hesitancy to get married. I always felt he was stalling, lol and was sure it wasn't due to a lack of options. He brought clarity to my suspicions.

One of the best things we can do for our relationships is to look at how our parents navigated their relationship. If there was divorce, abuse, or controlling behavior, we need to go to therapy to heal ourselves. If we divorce our partner, we need to see how we contributed to the relationship issues. If we hadn’t healed from our past trauma, that’s how we contributed to our poor relationship. We fix it by healing ourselves and making better choices in the future. Finding happily married couples to mentor you helps as well.

As a believer God has actually shown me great wealth for my life through dreams and visions. In prophecy tho he has given me great instructions, to stay humble, to let my hands be used by him (to give to others), and to not forget that his kingdom is greater than any earthly material wealth. Meaning it’s ok to have things but don’t lose your salvation over these things.

Under achieving in relationships ... my view: too many ppl refuse to CLEANSE our souls to remove the hindrances, blockages, sabotage. Generational bloodline issues r real and we have to deal with those things coz they hinder us in our relationship with God, each other and ourselves. Clean up and be free to hear God clearly and to guide u to the wo / man for each of us. If God has given u talents, He has also a person who He knows can partner with u in marriage to bring life to what's written about u.
