VW Taigun Infotainment System - Demo & Features

- Here’s a short video that demonstrates the various options available in the #infotainment unit of the new 2021 #VW #Taigun which will be launched in India shortly.
The unit comes with a 10” gloss display (which unfortunately is a fingerprint magnet and reflects everything around it), supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an intuitive user interface, WiFi, Bluetooth and support for 2 USB connections through the USB C ports.
The unit is connected to mid-bass units on each door and a tweeter mounted to the A-pillar. It lacks an amplifier or a subwoofer. Music quality is acceptable but is not the best out there.
Update: The same unit is also bundled in the Škoda Kushaq, Škoda Slavia and the upcoming VW Virtus as well.

I booked the reflex silver colour in gt model
I wanted a dark colour but not sure carbon steel will look good on it
I loved the reflex silver shade among all the shades. Brings out the size and the subtle creases and cuts nicely. Wish VW brought back the black shade man.

Hi I've booked gt+, any inputs regarding rear camera quality and if bad, any inputs regarding how to change it?
Hi Krishna, yeah the reverse camera installed in the Taigun was having a bad image quality I recall. But please check for yourself if it is acceptable. Some may find it ok because it is used momentarily only while reversing and not for a 360 degree view unlike say the Seltos.

Hi Aman. You’re better off with an aftermarket setup. The one on the highline wasn’t impressive. If you were to get one from VW, it will be exorbitantly priced.
How do you pause & play music? I couldn't find any steering or infotainment control for this.
Hi Aditya, if you press mute on your steering wheel, it’ll pause the music as well.
do you have the option to reset tyre pressure system in infotainment screen
No.

it might be in vehicle status or settings
I don’t have access to the system now Aadesh. If I do come across, will let you know but to the best of my memory, I could not see the TPMS setting anywhere in the infotainment unit.

How to use navigation in VW Taigun??
You have different options - use the built-in Sygic navigation by downloading the app OR connect your android smartphone or iPhone and use Google Maps/Apple Maps.
Can we play music from usb and memory card .
Hi jikku. Memory cards are not supported. As for USB, all the ports are USB C type so you can plug in USB C type pen drives. 👍🏻

There is no port of memory card but yes you can use a type c pendrive and play songs and even videos.
Can you play MP3 format audio files in usb drive ?

Yeah it does.
In GT + is there subwoofer like kushaq..
No subwoofer or amplifier unfortunately.

@@kavinNatarajanM Yeah man. They should have bundled an amp and a sub on the top end variants at least. Cost cutting to keep the overall costs in check. I’m sure a lot of owners would upgrade and add amps, subs etc.

This was during the media drive of the Taigun in the Pindwara - Udaipur stretch. 🙂 Must have been for a short stretch. With that 1.5 TSI + DSG, it’s impossible to score such high FE numbers. 😂

Nope. Unlike the one in Hyundai cars, there’s no rear view monitor available while driving.

Yes. No subwoofers in Taigun. We checked thoroughly. 👍🏻 Sound quality isn’t all that great either.
