Praise be to Allah. The one who cuts his hair should make it all the same length. The one who cuts his hair on the sides of his head more than the middle comes under the heading of qaza’, which is forbidden. Al-Bukhaari (5921) and Muslim (2120) narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) forbade qaza’. Naafi’ (one of the narrators of the hadeeth) said, explaining qaza’: Shaving part of a boy’s head and leaving part. What is the ruling on leaving some of the hair longer than the rest? Answer: Abu Dawood narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) forbade qaza’ and said: “Shave all of it or leave all of it.” it says in Sharh al-Iqnaa’: Qaza’ includes shaving some places on the sides of the head, or shaving the middle and leaving the sides, as most of the Christians do, or shaving the sides and leaving the middle, as many of the foolish do, or shaving the front and leaving the back. Ahmad was asked about shaving the back of the head and he said: This is the action of the Magians, and whoever imitates a people is one of them. Thus it is known that it is not permissible to leave some parts of the hair longer than others.
Got that answer off of islamqa which is reliable. I personally used to get my haircuts the same way lol but not anymore. And something to keep in mind is that in the time of the Rasool (PBUH) there were no “trimmers” or machines like that so be careful if u are using a trimmer to achieve the same affects of a blade or shaving
Some are follow this and some follow the stricter opinion which is to keep the hair completely even at all times. Something to consider, perhaps, would be to ask ourselves whole we're imitating as muslims we should seek to imitate the hairstyles of the prophet (pbuh) and that should be the end of it. If we look at the hairstyle where the sides are shaved -or trimmed- we find that it's actually from other cultures The mohawk comes from native american tribes and the fade was introduced by the us military and later adopted by "pop stars" and others in the entertainment industry. The prophetic hadīth states that "he who imitates a people/nation is from them" so dear brothers and sister who do you wish to imitate?
This is strange, because when explaining the hadith about not shaving the head it is not just about a usual haircut that you get, it is forbidden in the time when you lost someone you love and from grief and sadness people ripp their clothes and shave theirs heads and cry too much. It is not allowed in this case.
It may be a trimmer or a shaver its haram to take a pineapple hair cut where two sides is short and middle hair is long. Our prophet pbuh says to grow hair or make it right side or from middle or complete turned it back.

If i are using an electric trimmer on size 0 that is shaving because they didn't have tools this efficient 1400 years ago and no hair is clearly visible

Unfortunately this is untrue and perhaps a small error on his part. It is indeed not permissible due to the fact that shaving would usually mean trimming in olden standards as well. If the hadith actually said trimming at that time, over 75% of people would be Muslims because at that point it would probably be a prediction. Long story short, it is still not permissible. There are better cuts out there that ARE halal though. I recommend you check them out if you have the time.

To be honest the narrations are from a time in which fading the side of the hair did not exist, in modern society a skin fade given by a trimmer or razor is a modernised term for a shave. In other words a skin fade results of the side hair being shaved of fully in which the area seems to have no apparent hair, it is the fade which cleans it up to make it look nice. The prophet disliked it as the nature of a person beauty should be natural in both his hair and colour, in which he should clean and cut when necessary up to a suitable even size.

Naafi’ (one of the narrators of the hadeeth) said, explaining qaza’: Shaving part of a boy’s head and leaving part.
What is the ruling on leaving some of the hair longer than the rest?
Answer: Abu Dawood narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) forbade qaza’ and said: “Shave all of it or leave all of it.”
it says in Sharh al-Iqnaa’: Qaza’ includes shaving some places on the sides of the head, or shaving the middle and leaving the sides, as most of the Christians do, or shaving the sides and leaving the middle, as many of the foolish do, or shaving the front and leaving the back.
Wait so the scenehaircut is forbidden according to the first Hadith? Someone answer please!
why do they have the laughing emoji in the title its a very good question?
Some are follow this and some follow the stricter opinion which is to keep the hair completely even at all times.
Something to consider, perhaps, would be to ask ourselves whole we're imitating as muslims we should seek to imitate the hairstyles of the prophet (pbuh) and that should be the end of it.
If we look at the hairstyle where the sides are shaved -or trimmed- we find that it's actually from other cultures The mohawk comes from native american tribes and the fade was introduced by the us military and later adopted by "pop stars" and others in the entertainment industry.
The prophetic hadīth states that "he who imitates a people/nation is from them" so dear brothers and sister who do you wish to imitate?
i once asked a sheikh and he said that fade is allowed until and unless it doesn't show your skin
That's clear. Thanks a lot.
WOW WHAT A BEAUTIFUL RELIGION MASHA ALLAH
I am Muslim myself but come on... it’s just the topic of قزع
A blade is used in the "skin fade" if I'm not mistaken (the last bit of the gradient)..
Alhamdulillah
what a fucking weird world we live in
The haircut he’s talking about with the shadow is called a fade
and is it haram or not ?
@@faisalabdelbasit9954 no, it’s haram if the sides are completely shaven and the top isn’t, at least according to this opinion
Trimmers didn't exist during that time tho....its seems like a really vague technicality to use. It achieves the exact same thing.
this is indeed a very good news
This is strange, because when explaining the hadith about not shaving the head it is not just about a usual haircut that you get, it is forbidden in the time when you lost someone you love and from grief and sadness people ripp their clothes and shave theirs heads and cry too much. It is not allowed in this case.
U should ask mufti in your area cuz ur not mufti
It may be a trimmer or a shaver its haram to take a pineapple hair cut where two sides is short and middle hair is long.
Our prophet pbuh says to grow hair or make it right side or from middle or complete turned it back.
can i have hair uneven like the top will be 5-6 inch & side-back 1-2 inch??

Jesus christ. LET the man have his haircut. Why shall religion dictate what kind of haircut people get?
If you dont like the religion just leave lol
@@moistsock811 I am not a muslim, trust me. It is just sad that people let a fairy tale dictate their lives to such detail. It is really pathetic.
If you like a certain kind of hairstyle, go for it! If you like pork, go for it! If you feel like eating or drinking during Ramadan, go for it!

Thank God i have long hair
Prophet Mohammed صلى الله عليه وسلم said that make your hair equal or shave it.
If i are using an electric trimmer on size 0 that is shaving because they didn't have tools this efficient 1400 years ago and no hair is clearly visible
True, i think it’s best to just get a level 1 fade coz it will be trimmed rather than shaved. But Allah knows best!
Not sure on this, Halak (cutting with blade or with trimmer) as the end its cutting to as near as skin is visible. I have a trimmer which cut the hair as clean as a blade do. This is hair cut will still be haram. As its said keep it all or leave it all.
Allah knows the best
If you are a punk, it is not haram, because 1st muslim warriors used to have punk-style hair to deceive their enemies who thought them as horses.
Hahahaha. Gone are the days of the Islamic golden age. Now it's just people concerned over benign rubbish like if a haircut is permissible.
what a glad news to me too, cause man i like this haircut
what's the haircut's name or the actor/celebrity name he used?
mannnnnn thx for asking this question
Unfortunately this is untrue and perhaps a small error on his part. It is indeed not permissible due to the fact that shaving would usually mean trimming in olden standards as well. If the hadith actually said trimming at that time, over 75% of people would be Muslims because at that point it would probably be a prediction.
Long story short, it is still not permissible. There are better cuts out there that ARE halal though. I recommend you check them out if you have the time.
I think we should stop focusing and nitpicking such tiny things and making a big deal out of them when most Muslims today don't even pray the 5 obligatory prayers
Follow the Quran and Authentic hadeeths through the explanation of the Sahaba and those who followed them and the known scholars of Islam. Don't look for loop holes through so called "scholars" who tend to give wrong verdicts on particular matters such as this. What's wrong is wrong even if the entire nation engaged in it. It will still be wrong. May Allah guide us to the straight path.
Whether it's permissible or not, it's not very good-looking for a hairstyle. xD
Go say that to 100's of women drooling over guys with that hairstyle...
@@josephstar1883 Nevertheless, it's quite unattractive for me (a woman). It's very unappealing and it makes most Muslim guys lose credibility when having that hairstyle while trying to discuss an important topic. At least from my point of view.

No brother, The monk hair cut is not allowed 🚫
You mean bald? Well it's not called monk hair cut, it's called balding, all Buddhist monks always bald, and some male Islamic pilgrams in Mecca shaves their hair bald because of hot sun for pilgrimage.
Please Answer...Is buzz cut halal? Because some guys says that if we clean the side of our head and we keep hair on the top than it's haram. They say that we have to keep all the same size at short haircut. But in buzz cut, we do very short on the top and trim off the sides. So is it halal or haram?
I just got a fade a week ago and now im a little worried. Is a gradual 0.5 fade up to a 1.5 permissable?
With the trimmer the fade is permissible
I think it's okay as long as there's still hair, only haram when it's a blade 0

To be honest the narrations are from a time in which fading the side of the hair did not exist, in modern society a skin fade given by a trimmer or razor is a modernised term for a shave. In other words a skin fade results of the side hair being shaved of fully in which the area seems to have no apparent hair, it is the fade which cleans it up to make it look nice. The prophet disliked it as the nature of a person beauty should be natural in both his hair and colour, in which he should clean and cut when necessary up to a suitable even size.
