Interesting message, there’s something to being around positive people. At work there are some who are negative and complain, and nothing will make you more miserable for the rest of the day than listening to people complaining.

I like the way you keep your equipment clean, I know they get dirty and nasty just the way it is, but it not that hard to clean one up once in awhile.

Good job catching that rogue fire- you would have come back the next day to a burned off slough.
It was also nice they were able to work out the burn permit for you-
Yup, that dead standing tree would have been a mess. It has happened before and started a rogue fire. So I definitely look for those now. Burn permit worked out good too…

The other comment was just about how our burn bans are weird here in Ohio. Just in spring and fall months during daylight hours. I assume it's dure ti the chance of grass fires, but it still seems odd.

Amen brother. Great job, cant wait until the next one. One good thing about that metal track, it won't roll off in the mud like those rubber tracks can. I had my rubber tracked buried, ended up with a track roll off in the mud. What a day for sure, but was blessed to have a buddy bring his dozer and pull me out.

Good video, I have done a lot of clearing and burning with just a track loader. The excavator makes it a lot easier and more efficient for sure. That job would have been nearly impossible to do with just a loader unless it was during a dry spell. Back when I was doing a lot I had a home built burning machine that had a Cummins 6bt on it, I would blow through a piece of 24” ductile pipe. I would start it small just like you did and once I got a good pile of coals I could roll a BIG pile on it and run the blower just a little above idle and usually only get a lot of smoke for 5-10 minutes and then it would catch up with little smoke. I also like jobs that I can pile stuff to the side and let it dry for a while and it really does away with the smoke.
Charles that is a great idea to setup that blower like that. I’m sure it would burn it all up. I sure like clearing with the excavator it makes it a bit easier, like you said, to pile and burn…

I’m jealous. They made it illegal to burn land clearing materials here . I found out the hard way years ago 😂. That’s why I have that big chipper now. I don’t know how you caught that tree smoking .Good eye ! I’ve been trying to encourage the other guys around me up here lately even though they don’t do the same for me. I’ll just keep at it for now .
