Just discovered your channel, now my Sunday will be spent infront of the computer. Amazing work! I find it hard to find channels like yours and diresta.
Fantastic! Inspiring. I'm looking to build a "swing out" floating shelf below my wall mounted tv (on an articulating mount). Watching your video, now I think I may know how to do it!
The way I see it the only thing wrong with this video is that it isn't me doing the project! { I am happy for you & I want to be VERY clear on that! } I very much appreciate your fine work here sir! I do believe I will be making similar things as I have had very similar ideas for quite some time. This is one of my favorite videos & I enjoy coming back to watch again & again. Process is just as fulfilling as end result...true art! So, I may be jealous but in a good way! Picture's worth way more than 1000 words.(Other ideas are born from this too) No instruction necessary just observe. Very well done thank you!
Ah the limitation of wood, I am definitely gonna try this with metal small sleek design and a lot more degrees. YOU are a true thinker.. lenovo should be your brand.
Just came across this whilst looking for monitor arm extensions. Thought for a moment I had posted a video to youtube and forgot about it lol. Doppleganger! I'm no where near that skill level though. Excellent design dude.
Nice! ha ha, I bet that was shocking! "This dude looks like me!" WTH! I went looking for one of your videos to see what you mean... But didn't find one. Thanks for the compliment! But "skill" is just Practice! Keep at it! Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
Love the design; if any part breaks you can make another one. That was a sophisticated solution you came up with for the horizontal adjustment - I was just thinking yesterday how to do that for my workbench monitor and your idea was way better. One suggestion for the Mark II if you ever do one would be to do something with the haptics. I don't know exactly what or how but I'm thinking of the late model Volkswagen glove boxes - when you lift the latch it opens with a damped effect; and same when closed - I think they do it with a small non-powered hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder but I don't know.
SOOOOOOOO AWESOME!! I've been designing a keyboard and mouse mount similar to this and have been struggling lol. I'm totally going to copy alot of this. Soooo nice looking. Thanks for sharing.
Nice! Honestly I have to comment on all these videos because it's just suprising to see something so good from, how should I put this... you know what I mean. And wow, this especially! I mean, wow! That's wood holding, what, a 20 pound tv?
Dood, I am really diggin this channel ! Great work, awesome execution. The only problem is, now I have like 1/2 a dozen ideas in my head and I am running out of room in there !!!
Nice work and a very good looking result! BTW, a thing to keep in mind when designing something like this is that it's as strong as its weakest point! Just saying.
Now, why can't any one of us make a simple mount out of metal or plastic? It's a VERY simple design...by the way your spin on it with the wood is pretty badass....I like it.
+Louise Martin Thank you Louise! Much appreciated. :) As I'm sure you are aware it all depends on the project. With a project like this I really do not keep track. I prefer to focus on the experience, and 'lose track of time.'
+carbonfusion Thank you! Much appreciated! :) With the hardware used I wouldn't put any more than the weight of this tv on it. However switching out the t-nuts for locking washers and standard nuts, would increase the load bearing ability quite a bit. Thanks again for watching, commenting and subbing!
Beautiful craftsmanship What kind of weight can it support? God I hope you have gotten yourself a cordless drill for driving screws in with, cause watching you swap back and forth Between drilling an screwing was painful. Not sure I would trust some of the joints, the grain was oriented so the ends would just pop off with not much force. All this pretty wood working an not one thought towards cable management. A couple of built in hooks would have gone a long way.
Awesome project and video. But here's a small suggestion: put some music in the background, it makes the whole video more comfortable to watch when there is no one talking.
This is amazing man, I found your video while researching creating this exact thing. I want to have a floating monitor over my bed that I can retract to the side when it is not in use. This may have been asked already but do you have your dimensions or plans / would you be willing to share them?
I study Mech. Engineering and I don't think I could ever machine something out of metal that was near this well made.
Amazing job, man.
+Javier Peña Much appreciated! Thank you very much for the kind words! I am hoping to make this out of metal one of these days. Thanks again, :)
Javier Glad you respect his craft but remember that those tools he uses are made of METAL, not flimsy, crappy wood.
Excellent build! That could be used for so many things... TV, lights, camera, scrims... Very cool.
+Makenna Ryan Thank you Mak!!! It has that potential indeed, I see myself making another one as a camera mount one of these days. :) Thanks again.
This is exactly what I was looking for, great choice of wood and finish. Thanks for sharing.

+terry halstead Much appreciated! Thank you Terry! :)
Fantastic! Inspiring. I'm looking to build a "swing out" floating shelf below my wall mounted tv (on an articulating mount). Watching your video, now I think I may know how to do it!
Thank you! I’m glad the video inspired you! Means it was worth making it. Hope your project goes well! 👍
Very dope! You inspired me. I'm going to build a wall mount version tomorrow, based on your design. Thank you!

SOOOOOOOO AWESOME!! I've been designing a keyboard and mouse mount similar to this and have been struggling lol. I'm totally going to copy alot of this. Soooo nice looking. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing skills and just what I'm looking to build for my sons tv. Thanks for the video
Nice, seems like that would work well mounted to a bed frame for vertical viewing while resting for good posture.
A thing of beauty! I'm sure it puts a smile on you every time you look at it :)
+Billahori1 Thank you! :)

Anneliese 26154518 that is not a 20 pound tv it's barely bigger than the vesa mount it self
Dood, I am really diggin this channel !
Great work, awesome execution. The only problem is, now I have like 1/2 a dozen ideas in my head and I am running out of room in there !!!
+William Lutes Thank you again! I really appreciate it! :) Half a dozen, awesome! I can't wait to see them! :)
I Might think that you are the coolest and most creative dude in the world!!!

BTW, a thing to keep in mind when designing something like this is that it's as strong as its weakest point! Just saying.

Thank you, thank you, thank you,. Too many maker videos are more yak, yak. yak than information.
Those bushings are a nice detail.
Imagine if you could work that fast in real life, you would be in great demand!

AMAZING BUILD to say the least.
Badassery at its finest. Love it!
That's thing is cool. Are you positive that's black walnut? I think it could be ipe.

How long do each of these projects take you to finish? They are amazing! You are very talented.
+Louise Martin Thank you Louise! Much appreciated. :) As I'm sure you are aware it all depends on the project. With a project like this I really do not keep track. I prefer to focus on the experience, and 'lose track of time.'
All the things you have shown us are amazing. Keep up the good work. One day I will make the trip out there to marvel at it all in person. :)
+Louise Martin :) Wow! Thank you!!! :) Again I appreciate your kind words. Looking forward to it. :)
That's Beautiful,, But that corded drill with a key chuck was very hard to watch.. It looked like something they'd make you do in Guantanamo Bay.
Very nice design! Thanks for sharing.
So cool, advancing woodworking to the next level. How much do you think it would safely hold? If mounted to the wall for instance? Great work! Subbed.
+carbonfusion Thank you! Much appreciated! :) With the hardware used I wouldn't put any more than the weight of this tv on it.
