For us hardcore Goonies fans you did an amazing job showing the original and house and how it looks now . I like what you did in the video with showing the rooms you could and comparing them to great parts in the film . Bravo !. I enjoyed watching very much . 👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
This house needs to be restored to movie accuracy. It is like the Field of Dreams, People still go there to see it, to have a glimpse back at their magical childhood. It should be a protected landmark.
We just visited yesterday and left a small donation in the box. I'm not sure that the same people own it now, but the people in the front yard were very nice. Great to see this home, it brought back a ton of memories. You did a wonderful job interlacing the movie with your experience, really brought the house to life.
I lived in Astoria, across the street from the old Bumblbee canary at the apartments, had a part time job as maitenance, worked at the fish canary full time.watched them film the Goonies. At breakfast at Rosies cafe. Loved the little town . Great if your retired. No work. Min wage mom and pop shops. Fishing number one industry. Hope to go back.
I was able to swing by the house after being a fan for so long. It was awesome! I went b back a few months after and I heard they don't allow people up the hill anymore. Sucks that people had to ruin it, although I'm glad I got to see it up close. That's crazy that people would peak in the windows.
@@roxyhaze6955 Its in Astoria, Oregon. When you first drive in to the main part of the town, from the road you can actually see it on top of the hill looking over the rest of the neighborhood. When you see the house in person, you realize why they actually picked it for filming.
Hello. How wonderful of you to open up your home and post this. Thank you. I understand you've had to take measures now to keep all "Goonies" away from the property. So sorry that happened. Praying you can get your personal space back. ❤💔❤
I just stopped by The Goonies House yesterday on my way from Texas to Seattle. I’m 44 years old and it brought back memories of my childhood. So glad i took the scenic route to get here.
I was just there yesterday morning. was talking to the neighbors down the hill. Saying they have people show up 11pm peaking through the windows. that's not right. 8-17-15

Zidders Roofurry what r u talking about? It’s her fault for buying a house from a cult classic knowing that there will be lots of tourists wanting to see it. That’s a very stupid thing to do.
Was just there and there's a sign that says NO ONE ALLOWED at all up the driveway and the police will be called for trespassing. Sad that others had to ruin it for others. Was told by locals that people were spreading ashes around the property and people going up to the house at all hours taking pictures of the inside while owners were home
Thank you for the video. One of my favorite movies. The northern Oregon coast is amazing. Astoria, Canon Beach, Rockaway Beach, Manzanita, etc. Magical.

Id love to see it up close but ( inside ) but realize that its someones actual residence and that stuff can get old over time, so I can't fault them from letting people up to see it. I heard rumors that people were stealing pieces of the house and I am certain people left trash, who knows what else....people suck ball sacks and ruin it for everyone.
i wish they would've kept it the way it was set up in the goonies and just have it as a site/museum instead of having someone buy and remodel it, it ruined all the memories

It was a beautiful house back then, and still a beautiful house now, albeit completely renovated. Such a shame that you can no longer see the house, and for that only the idiots can be blamed for ruining it for others. I was hoping to fly over from England someday and pay a visit to an iconic place where my favourite movie was filmed. Sadly I’ll make do with the movie.
You can still see all the other filming locations. The Flavel house ( dad taking flag down at the start ), the Jail ( you can go inside for a small fee and see the actual jail cell ), random scenes from police chase, Chucks pizza smash at the bowling alley, and if you go up the road 30 miles you end up at Ecola State Park ( this is where they road the bikes and the old restaurant scenes were filmed. Also Cannon beach is right beside it with Haystack rock. Believe me, there is plenty of other places to see and visit. My favorite filming location is where the Restaurant used to sit and the view from that area is absolutely breath taking.
Hi @wolf predator, thank you. Maybe it is worth a visit one day. I have young nephews and nieces now who are 8 & 10 years of age, and after introducing them to the movie, they’re now huge fans too. I would absolutely love to take them one day on the same journey. Thanks for the info.

How would you feel if you spent a ton of money to fix up an old house, we're friendly with fans and even gave them tours and then the town basically made it a tourist trap without your OK and turned a small family fan atmosphere into freakin' Disneyworld. How would you then feel if people dropped trash and dog shit all over your yard and creeped in your windows at 3AM? You're telling me you wouldn't get sick of dealing with all the bullshit?
