Hi Freight Train Productions & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Freight Train Productions & Friends Randy & Hello Freight Train Productions & Merry Christmas & Happy New Year's & The Best In The New Year's 2025
Hey! I'm likely visiting Colorado this summer, and am looking to railfan the joint line. How many trains can I expect in a 24-hour period, and is there a particular time of day that's best for going on the joint line?
Usually about 15-20 trains per day, most at night. There’s not really a time that’s best, but anytime in the afternoon is when I would recommend. Also depends where on the line you are, since southbounds can take a number of hours from Denver (northern terminus) to Pueblo (southern terminus). If you want to reach out by email (should be in my profile) when you’re here, I can try to share more helpful info.
@@FreightTrainProductions I was thinking a spot like Palmer Lake or Monument, both of which are south of Denver. I was also maybe thinking about possibly doing the Moffat Sub, but I've heard that line doesn't see a whole lot.
Palmer Lake is nice. Monument is a bit hard to shoot, but can be pretty nice if you can find somewhere, too. Moffat sub is gorgeous, but yeah, it’s usually really dead.
