I was 5 days old and my dad turned 30 this day March 26 1971. I love you dad and miss you.
Late 60s Early 70s FANTASTIC era!
Actor Paul Richards speaks for the American Express Card (then known as the American Express Money Card).
I remember Britches of Georgetown. It was a prime clothing store. Outstanding customer service and superb inventory
This stuff originally aired 1 week to the day after my 11th birthday.
I was in the second half of fourth grade, very interesting time capsule:)
00:01 the unmistakable voice of John Bartholomew Tucker for Scott Paper. And again at 7:27.
I remember that voiceover from the Dirt Devil ads from the 90s
@@oldradiosnphonographs Exactly! John Bartholomew Tucker did a lot of memorable voice-overs for the Dirt Devil.
6:16 120 Ingraham St. N.E. in Washington no longer exists-the area was demolished to make way for the Fort Totten Metro station.
John Bartholomew Tucker voicing the Scott Paper commercials, Bob Washington (a.k.a. "Harvey K-Tel") voicing the K-Tel commercial.
And the Dirt Devil ads with the yellow lab puppies knocking over potted plants
Nice station ID for the then-WMAL-TV 7, with the four sevens around a star motif, and Fred Weiss providing the voiceover. Bob Washington is the man known as Harvey K-Tel doing the voiceover for K-Tel's products
during the 1970s. John Batchelder is the manager in the Safeway spot
and provides the voiceover. Channel 5 staff announcer Paul Hallett speaks
for Koons Ford.
14 days after my mom was born!! 😃😍
3-26-1971 was 5 days before I was born.
I want some scrap bags damnit
For what, doggy bags? 🐶
Clearly for what they show. Tear fill and toss away the cooking trash
Little “Martin” in the Sears 10-in-One suit commercial is portrayed by Mike “Bobby Brady” Lookinland
the irony (if thats the wrd) is that by the time ur intently watchng thes advrts many of the products ar discontinud . . .
Pity they don't make Breath O'Pine air freshener no more. 🌲
I was 5 months old and my mother turned 32 on this day.
WMAL is now WJLA. Has been since 1977.
Chuck Riley voice
14:25 nowadays 3 coach seats would fit in that 1 seat ...and our asses are bigger than ever now ! 😅
Fortifying snack cakes with vitamins and iron is kind of like putting 💄on a 🐷
3:34 I’ve literally never heard of most of these brands of shoes. I take this was before Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Vans, New Balance ect…
@5:18 this is how bad we've become. Snack cakes today cut costs but removing the 'fortified vitamins' from their junk food.
" mah-hahhhhm, the sink's clogged ". Mom: " well horse f*ckin' sh*t, what else ??? ".
Also, who's doing the voice-over at 12:47? I remember him, too.
He was James Murtaugh.
Doesn't anyone find that Safeway ad a tad creepy? 😥
Also, that's Dick O'Neill in the Gleem II toothpaste ad.
50 there’s a commercial for the SEARS 10 and one suit and when I looked at the picture and froze it when they showed the 10 different luxe three of them were the same as each other two of them were the same as each other and two of them are the same each other less a scarf or a bag what a funny joke
Was that Mike Lookinlands brother Todd?
12:46 PM
At Minute 5:39 & 16:19, which music is this in that Britches Commercial? I want to investigate this theme. Thanks!
Must be an original composition.
Franklin Cover @ 14:22 ?
Correct!
June 27
Who's doing the voice-over in the opening? I remember him well from my childhood. I'm 59 now.
John Bartholomew Tucker.
@@luisreyes1963 OK, thanks. Sorry for taking so long to reply, but my e-mail was down for the longest time.
@@luisreyes1963 He died December 7, 2014, at age 84. Looked up the name.
@@luisreyes1963he had a talk show, too
The 1-36 list has #14 as " litter Green Cat Food". Uh,..that's for cat's allright, but it's not food!!!!!
However, it always looked like guinea pig food to me
Do they still make Litter Green? 😺
Mateus, a lousy wine that makes a great automotive degreaser.
Also, whatever became of Baby Scott? 👶
Dafuq????
Another "fine product" by K-Tel. 😆
