Oh Fraser…. Your video didn’t disappoint. I will be honest… when you were feeding them and talking to them I teared up….. such utterly beautiful birds and their colouring! Wow!!! Beautifully videos and the island looked spectacular. I love how much you treasure these experiences and don’t take them for granted. Thank you so much for sharing this
This is the comment I was waiting for - I'm SO glad you enjoyed, Joanne! Thanks so much for sticking with me for the ride - so much yet to see! :) I don't think I'd ever take any of this world for granted - I absolutely love experiences like this! Thanks again.
Ha, yeah their softness then fooled me too, until I almost lost a finger 😂 Those pigeons were the bane of my life on that island 😆 Thanks for watching!!
Hi Fraser - my hubby and I just found your channel & ❤your video’s! We’re thrilled to hear that you voted NCL’s Escape as one of your favourite ships as we’ve booked a transatlantic out of NYC in 2026! (We’ll be watching your port videos in the near future! Can you recommend a good hotel in New York close to the cruise port? I had to watch your Aruba video since I’ve been there at least 16+ times. My first stay was at the Sonesta (now Renaissance) some 30 years ago when the boat departed from the hotel lobby - and when the island was not much of anything. I can’t wait to go back someday and experience the 🦩- they certainly weren’t there 30 years ago! Aruba is, by far, my favourite island in the Caribbean!
Hey! Thanks so much, Trish! I really appreciate your support for my little corner of RUclips! Regarding hotels, I’ll gladly share where I stayed - ping me an email on hello@fraseratsea.com and I’ll send you the info no problem! 😊 Have a great day!
You needn't be afraid of lemon sharks. We came upon one while diving in Fiji, asleep on the ocean floor. When it woke up and found itself in the middle of a photo op, it couldn't swim away fast enough! 😆
@@StillPooh62 oh wow - that’s an amazing story! I’m not sure I’d have been calm enough for a photo op - they look terrifying, haha! Thanks for sharing this with us!
I guess I shouldn't tell you about paying $100 dollars extra to dive with bull sharks on the same trip! 🙈 I wouldn't have done it, but I was the only girl in the group, and the guys double-dog dared me 🤪
Hi Fraser I’ve been to Aruba but didn’t go to that island I would have loved to have fed the flamingos that island looked amazing, not sure about staying on there all night though 😻
We also had an amazing stay on Renaissance Island! I loved your video as you took it much more in depth than most. We walked the nature trail on the flamingo side of the island and were able to be directly under the planes as they landed! We also had the deluxe cabana on the flamingo side which was absolutely decadent! Check out part 1 of our 3 part series on our trip to Aruba if you’d like to check it out! 🦩 Thanks again for the great content!
Oh, I’ll need to check out your video - that sounds wonderful! I did wonder about the planes landing over you through there, but the wildlife risk put me off, haha! Thanks so much for watching!

I’m deathly afraid of snakes so I almost died when that flashed on screen. I had no idea Aruba had snakes and I’m so happy I didn’t know when I visited because I would have been stressed the entire time.
Neither did I, until I almost stood on that walking down the road - I was absolutely HORRIFIED, and was so jumpy the rest of the day, haha! Thanks a lot for watching!
Hi Fraser, this video might be my favorite so far and I've seen a lot of them. What a beautiful day that was. I just wondered..did you see a flamingo fly off the beach? I hope they were not cut so they cannot fly anymore. Then some support for your fears....just know that you haven't seen snakes because they can feel you coming and they will hide. Same with the Iguana's, they didn't go towards you right? So don't be scared ;) The mouth of the flamingo is way bigger then the iguana's mouth and you let the flaminge bite you! How funny is that ;). My first caribbean cruise is in 61 days and I'm looking forward to that. Kind regards 🏖🛳
Yeah, I’m not sure of the wing situation. In hindsight, I suspect they probably can’t fly, otherwise I suspect they may leave. That said, they’re on an island where they constantly get fed, so maybe they are there through choice? Good point re the flamingo mouth - that made me laugh! I’m glad you enjoyed this video, Maya! 😊

Very glad "no Fraser's harmed" that day. 😁 Such an amazing day! So cool feeding flamingos!
Ha, I’m so glad you enjoyed watching this one and got a laugh, Tammy! The flamingo feeding was so great - such a unique experience!

Thanks a lot, Claire!
Terrific video! Thanks.
Thanks for watching, Jeffrey!
I think those pigeons are a bit salty that nobody's feeding them! 😂 I was impressed by how gentle the 🦩 was... until it wasn't 🙈😆

Scotsman pays for an extra trip on a cruise and really enjoys it !! 😮😂🏴 Thats becoming a habit for you Fraser, as are the great videos, too !
Ha, that’s funny. I’ll not be making a habit out of $100 days, don’t worry! Thanks for watching, Stephen!!
Great video. Aruba looks beautiful.
Thanks, Carol! A beautiful place for sure - I’d love to get back at some point!
Many congratulations on reaching 17K.

Fraser you are so much like me it is unreal. I would have been clinging on for dear life on that boat. I am terrified of them.
Ahh, we sound like two peas in a pod, haha! I kept telling myself that if the fancy, rich people enjoy it, it can’t be that bad. Meanwhile… 😬 😂

I love Aruba, but I had a land holiday there!
Ahh, what a place to have a land holiday! Out of curiosity, did you find it expensive to stay there?

I brought extra cash cause I'm not eating flamingo food ROFL
Ha, I’m not going hungry while those flamingos eat like kings and queens 😂
Do the boats also return to the renaissance every 15 mins ? Thanks.
Yes - the boats return as soon as they arrive, so it’s easy to come and go!
@@FraserAtSea thank you
