- You can easily add a magnet to hold up your lighting setup like the Nanlite PavoTubes or other camera accessories. The key is to get a very strong magnet with 1/4" -20 male end to connect to the bracket. Here is the best solution I have found with the strongest hold. amzn.to/3jZrQvB

Nice find. I love finding 1/4-20 accessories. I have a little tap/die system in my workshop so I can effectively make anything into a 1/4-20 threading. I've made all sorts of janky parts for rigs/mics etc.
that sounds so fun! love making all sorts of different use cases with a tap/die.
Tks for sharing, it looks good. 😊But we guess if the magnetic force is strong enough?
very strong. if you add two brackets with magnets, it would be hard to get off.
Curious why you opted for a DIY option instead of the magnets Nanlite sells?
at the time of creating this video, they didn't have that option available. I imagine though the strength of the magnet they offer isn't as powerful as third party options like the one I used in this video based off size and thickness.
I HATE when grip is hard. This is not. Thank you. I'd love to see any other hacks that make grip easier.
