Skipped to my current setup Garrett GT3071, with the 0.86 AR housing. It spools heavily c 3200 up. Feels asleep below this. Pushes c 500BHP and 650nm @ 1.8 bar. This is my 2nd turbo, having broken the first after 4 years of everyday use, track days, oil starvation and dyno pulls. I got a brass ball bearing put in this one too as a minor upgrade. Running well at moment 🤞🏻. Always love watching your videos. Class 👍🏻🏴🏴
If you go for Bosch ev14 1200cc, I have a tune you can use to at least get it started and driving to gdm. Made by myself for 2.3 with T5 cams and Garrett 2876r and with the help of a wideband lambda. A lot of time spent on it. Amul is close to zero. Coldstart on e85 tested down to -10 degrees C. Idles and drives like any 9-5 at lower loads. Gives approx 470hp and 600Nm.
@@JonasKakarikas I went for walbro gst450. Overkill and a tight fit. And required drilling the return hole of the oem fuel pressure regulator to 3.0 mm. Other than that the 1200cc works as a charm. No hiccups and nice and smooth even at very small opening times. Only tuned on e85 though. The deadtime and flow rate in the specs of the 1200cc was not spot on, required a little tuning as well but I'm very happy I chose them.

Or should i just keep it stock since i want the car to last another 3 years.
You can gain that power with a stage 3 tune and keep The turbo. You could not just swap turbo and gain power, without remap of The ecu The hardware upgrade is useless

There might be different quality of bearings etc... In The price of a garrett turbo is research and development. Not sure those expenses are quite as big on pulsar turbo systems, since its based on a already developed product.

My friend have this turbo but original garrett and he tuned his 9-3 arround on 480 HP (b207r) plus typical other hardware stuffs like injectors, IC and etc. Do you know whether this pulsar turbo is made in china?? I am gonna wait for your results, if you will be fully satisfied I will buy too, because price in Poland is almost twice bigger for original garrett.

Jag kör med avkapad kungskobra med silikonböj längst ner och den ligger emot i princip både vattenpump och ac-kompressor!
@@EricNordenfors Ja det kan tänkas, men det går. Vill man ha mer plats så har de andra grenrör än de som ligger nära original i placeringen. Önskemålet här verkade ju dock vara att det ska gå att dölja rätt bra så de ser så original ut som möjligt. Går bra att trycka dit original värmeplåt över deras lilla extraktorrör så det är ju perfekt då även om de blir lite bökigt och trångt.

Ofcourse its not exactly The same, that would be illegal, but i bet its pretty close. We will see about The results on The 2,3l engine 👍

based on a Garrett....won't give the same numbers...will come close but won't last long.
Been lasting for 3 years now without any problems, made 470bhp with not so optimal exhaust 👌

Kan även tipsa om att do88 har specialgjorda slangböjar för trånga utrymmen. Kolla in Cobra head på deras sida. :)

I dont quite think this one pulls 500hp from 2.3.I think its closer to 400 than 500.
The gen1 pulls 450hp on a 2,0t so i bet you are wrong 😉
