The eye shadows are full size and when you are finished using the Mac containers you can return them empty to the Mac store and for every 5 you get a free eye shadow or lip stick of your choice. so when you are done with all of these products you can get more!
Also, in my experience, it's worthwhile asking a MAC store person to show you how to use the 'weird' shades. I've been using MAC makeup almost exclusively for 20+ years now and I'm still impressed by how the clerks there can take some seemingly random combo of weird colours and give you a look that you'd never have thought of, but is totally perfect for you.
So glad that I bought a wine advent calendar, a cheese advent calendar, and a fancy chocolate one this year and skipped the beauty advent calendars. Now I have snack so enjoy while I watch your unboxings.
Honestly the colors they picked all looked like items that didn't sell throughout the year. Ipsy gave away the strobe cream and lip glass before. I think advent calendars are basically overpriced samples.

I feel like the value of the products matches the price of the calendar (MAC is expensive), but if you’re gonna spend that much money at MAC I’d rather spend it on things I really want....
Although I will say she had more full size products than most advent calendars. The eyeshadows and pigments are all full sizes. I believe the lip glasses are also all full size the only "samples" not including the minis were like 4 items. The minis are roughly the cost of the 8.62 is cause I think those are a 9 dollar purchase.
Kristen no the lipglass was mini sized, the only full sized items were the eye shadows and MAYBE the pigments but I could have sworn even the pigments came in much larger sizes. The whole point of surprise type boxes (mystery boxes, advent calendars, etc) is to get a great value. Basically you get way more bang for your buck since your agreeing to go in blind and trust the company to give you good stuff, and for that trust they reward you with a good value. Apparently Mac never got the message because the value here looks terrible. I wouldn’t pay $8.61 for a single one of those items, even if the item is technically worth that much if you wouldn’t pay that much for that item then to you it isn’t a good value you know?

I am obsessed with the MAC lip prep and prime. It's the best lip primer out there (I've tried TOO many). They are for smoothing your lips and moisturizing them before applying matte lipsticks, and helps matte lipsticks last longer and look prettier 🤩

Explicit is really pretty over brownish colors and deeper reds. It shows up more like a (barely) taupe/nude color on the lips, and it has some cool blueish reflects. Its suprisingly pretty and subtle.
As an Aussie who forgot about the currency exchange rate for a moment, I thought this wasn’t too horribly priced. Then I just saw that it’s $360 here. Yeesh.
The key chain was like a final slap in your face. Try the yes style advent calendar next year! Its all full size products and last years was like $145!
I do think it was extremely overpriced and I myself would send them an email and inquire as to where the $100 gift card that obviously should be included with the Advent calendar to justify the cost is located in the box.

that lip primer is awesomeee i use it all the time and it really softens your lip so the lipstick can go on smoothe and the lipstick or gloss staysb longer

Honestly, you've helped me save so much money! You've successfully convinced me to never buy a beauty advent calendar or at least wait until after Christmas when they go on major sale.
If the eyeshadows were full-sized, like they look, those single shadows are $17 each. I still personally wouldn't buy it because $200 but I'm sure that is where they get a lot of their value!

Explicit is really pretty over brownish colors and deeper reds. It shows up more like a (barely) taupe/nude color on the lips, and it has some cool blueish reflects. Its suprisingly pretty and subtle.

I do think it was extremely overpriced and I myself would send them an email and inquire as to where the $100 gift card that obviously should be included with the Advent calendar to justify the cost is located in the box.

that lip primer is awesomeee i use it all the time and it really softens your lip so the lipstick can go on smoothe and the lipstick or gloss staysb longer
