@Spinko7128 Agreed. I love how Benedict and Colin kinda ship it too, along with the way more aware Daphne. They are such a precious family. Also, I know it throws the books and blah blah but I love the idea of Edwina and the Prince. The two ingenues connect to each other and undoing their fairytale mistakes of the past.
The softness of that second 'ah' and the way they both look away... 💖🥺💖. And Benedict, that handsome ass, laughing literally behind Anthony's back... 🤣

Anthony is already so madly in love with Kate and finding out she can shoot is like icing on the cake. He was like of course she can shoot. She’s already perfect and the female version of me, how could she NOT know how to shoot lol
I loved this scene too. It's the subtle stuff between them that's the best and Simone Ashly's beauty is breathtaking to behold. Her skin! ..my goodness
1:15 Benedict looks so genuinely surprised and appreciative like “Omg woah rly she can hunt? What a boss.” Meanwhile Anthony’s too busy laughing his butt off at the idea of a woman managing a gun lmao how are these two related?
Actually Anthony is confident in her ability. He just doesn’t want anyone knowing how good she is. First of all, she is competition for him and second, he doesn’t want people realizing Kate is basically the female version of him. lol yes Kate is a spinster, but Anthony still sees her as a Lady and is trying to woo her even though he acts like he isn’t.
What i liked most in this scene was Kate’s “i was?” and then the light in her eyes shuttered as Edwina rabbitted on - i can just hear her screaming internally “kill me now”
I really love Edwina, the whole time she’s trying to put her foot down and have her sister respect her choices and see things from her perspective. I wasn’t surprised when she told her sister off with “if I choose to marry him or leave him just know my thought will have nothing to do with you. I am choosing by myself and for myself”. She is so gentle yet willing to stand up for herself. I really hope she finds someone. She’s so open minded and although she’s innocent she does know what she’s looking for in a man.

no but the way he says "of course she is" for me it's not that he doesn't believe her but more like "yeah of course she can shoot too since she's so fucking perfect"
I agree. He respects her abilities, he knows she is great at horse riding, for example. Or at Pall Mall. But he doesn't want she to come with them, so is trying to discourage her
Did anyone else notice how Kate holds Edwina’s hand and tries to stop her while she says that Kate used to hunt all the time . Kate really was trying to be modest .
The second season seems more like a bollywood movie where we have elder sister sacrifice are love for th younger one...frequent sweet quarrels between the leads and eventually falling in love
Unpopular opinion: Edwina’s character makes me happier than Kate’s. She shows so much innocence and sweetness, it’s so rare to see women of colour in period dramas being represented that way these days. I love Kate’s agency on screen but combined with Edwina’s adorable personality, it’s the perfect representation of how women should be represented in period dramas.
LOL where does she show kindness? She's just a spoiled self centered kid. And if you have a preference there is no need to bring down Kate, the woman who sacrificed her life for her stepmother and her sister and got no thanks for it.
@@anniebox9589 By sweet I meant by seeing the best in people and being always positive. She’s only in her early 20s unlike Kate who had time to have her brain fully developed and things figured out unlike the other young ladies around Anthony. Put yourself into Edwina’s shoes and the context in which she lives and you'll see how powerful it is to see a very young woman of colour like her being represented as a sweet innocent and untouchable love interest who is not necessarily experimented in men and love. She’s written just like Daphne in the first season and I think people aren't used to this kind of representation and it shows.

Epic scene . Edwina s innocence. Kates unfailing confidence. Antony flabbergasted. And Benedicts expressions. Epic

So mad they skipped Benedict's season because I know it would be such Karma for Anthony and such a good time

Kate's skin, her gown, her hair, the ribbon 🎀, her necklace, the accent, the confidence perfection ❤
love how Ben knows not to argue with a woman, but has fun watching big bro doing it.
The self satisfied tilt of her head and the little smirk when she's won...😂😂😂
Benedict’s reaction to every time his brother opens his mouth- sheesh bro you’re only fucking it up more and more
Anthony’s ,,aah” twice and then Benedict’s face here is just everything!😂😂😂😂😂

Yes, she seems like an amazing woman in her own right, just younger and more innocent and not the right match with Anthony.
Yet to see an on-screen couple with such immense chemistry UGH

if that were the case he wouldn't have continued the conversation saying she'd have trouble managing and that ladies do not hunt.
It's more that he thinks that the idea of a woman being skilled at shooting is ridiculous. It's plain from the dialogue chosen.
I agree. He respects her abilities, he knows she is great at horse riding, for example. Or at Pall Mall. But he doesn't want she to come with them, so is trying to discourage her

He could be thinking something like "Oh great, she could literally kill me."

he just love the banther between them, and poor edwina, like, how she didnt saw it?
To think that Benedict is laughing his ass of watching how his prideful brother getting pinned down by kate by her unwavering confidence 😅😅😅
my favorite thing about this is Benedicts reaction to watching his brother struggle! Oh Luke Thompson the actor you are!

Benedict amused that finally someone is true match to Anthony, a woman at that. Cutie

heavenly
I know this show is just pseudo historical but ladies did, in fact, hunt.
Anthony wishing that 🐝 stinger was his 😂😂😂 he is in love BAD 😊🥰💜
Benedict: im not grinning
When she said that, the other guy was laughing. 😂
Benedict in this scene 😂
Luke looks like young Timothy Hutton's twin. The resemblance is uncanny.
