As a CNC machinist, please no music. The sound of the lathe is music enough. It takes away from the video. When I first started as such, I had a old timer walk past me and without looking said “ your cutting it wrong!” At the time I didn’t understand Now I truly understand. I can hear a lathe cutting wrong all the way across the shop.
@Craig Smith The grand start up memory of us all :p I remember back when I got told "if anything sounds wrong, hit the big red button" First push and my heart was at my throat while looking at my mentor, who stood with a calm smile, while I was thinking "are you insane?" Now it's become one of the past time activities in the shop, to share silent gazes with the people around you, when someone fucks around with their cutting data.
If the quote was worth a damn and the planning was done right they should already know when the job should be done. If they have to ask, then they aren't doing their job right.
Its not a secret. You can call your tooling supplier and get the feeds and speeds and plug them into your CAM software. Then from the software you can select the type of machining you want to do.
I started with 0 experience in cnc lathe work. No education. Not 3 years in I'm still employed and make an ok wage as I am still learning. Once I can tackle any job without asking for clarification on prints and not scrapping as much I will make more. I edit basic programs to fit jobs on the lathe and run them.
For the first part the inserts were facing towards the front of the machine and in the second the inserts were facing towards the back. How do you determine which way the tool is suppose to face? Does it depend how it's programmed? Like with the direction of the spindle? Just learning this stuff and it confuses me.
Is it true that CNC operators will be replaced with robots within 3-4 years (or maybe just a little later) and just the CNC programmer position will stay for human?
I’m starting my first machining job next Monday and want to know if I should get a set digital micrometers or not, I think I should get analog but i really don’t know what’s best
What's the material at 2:26 onwards? The finish looks amazing but the machining sounds so strange compared to most alu and stainless alloys I worked with. Combined with the sparks? I don't know what happened and I'd like to learn.
Thank you! The grace and the peace be with you from The Lord your God our father and how many of you know about the good news repent and believe in the gospel because the kingdom of heaven is at nigh and you believe in him son Jesus? Mark 1:15 Matthew 10:7 Luke 10:9-11 John 5:39 Acts 2:38-39
Difference between rollomatic cnc and cnc lathe!! I have 4 yrs experiance of running rollomatic np5 machine! Can i be able to run other kind of cnc machinea as automobile cnc or furniture cnc!! What are the differences!!
Sandvik are a company that make cutting tips but they also have a really good training course on their website thats free of charge. i would recommend that if you cant find a trainee job anywhere in your area. it also looks really good on a job application if one does pop up!
CNC Machines run off essentially a computer program so it will do all of these cuts in one go with an operator watching. where i work before you run the program from start to finish we "block it through" which essentially means watching each tool in and making sure its not going to do anything stupid and we check each measurement after each tool, once its been blocked through we'll let it run the whole cycle and check the measurements once its finished and another part has been started. yes the tips do wear and its down to the operator to listen and check them, you can hear if an edge has gone better than looking as sometimes the tip has a smaller tolerance than what your making. machines have an offset function so you can move them minutely in each direction to make sure your part stays as close to the tolerance you need as possible. hope this helps!
These look like just demo parts anyway. They don't look to be anymore then that to me so there's no reason to check measurements. Usually don't stop after each cut to check especially after a rough cut.
I been removing metal for 28 years and it still does not get boring watching the machines run.
Ha, boring. I get it ;)
I second this I love the finish product
Yes 👍👍
Wholesome
If you were to make firearms for prepping for SHTF, how would you go about that?
Love watching these shiny machines drilling and cutting the metal in all shapes. I would love watching them even if they didn't make anything at all.
I really love all CNC, lathe milling works,
I want to learn more difficult jobs on CNC😍😘
from India 🇮🇳 🇮🇳
The actual sound of the machining is much better than any music.
Please watch the video until end

Mannnnnnnnnn this is wild. I want these machines so bad. All of them. I'd never, ever, ever, leave my shop. These are incredible.

"if its squealing then u have to inforce the feed!" (or reduce speed) and i was like are u mantally ill? more feed??
2:25 music ends.

Cho bạn cảm ơn bạn đã chia sẻ rất là hay mình cũng làm gì máy CNC❤❤❤❤❤
Ah, this brings back memories. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
👏👏
USA has the best machine operators in the world.
I never heard of this machine before yet I find it fascinating to watch.
lathes and mills?
This is really good technology. I cheer for you.😊😊😊😊😊
I used to love doing this job. Would still do it if it wasn’t for the constant “how much longer?”
you were piss slow then :)
Paul Meldrum I was awesome. That’s the thing, it’s never enough for most of these manufacturers.
I'm currently learning to do this👍Second year now

I used to be a maintenance engineer got the how long b4 it's fixed alot 🙄
Computers at work, removing metal. Simply mesmerizing.
Actually watching in lecture 😁
quite pleased with the lathe
Hands down one of your BEST videos. 👍👍

Ive never seen a machine so clean
I'm a high school manufacturing student so this is just hype for my future job
Woo tha is the best woork
that's some pretty advanced stuff
From iraq well done

Wow Wow Wow ..,, 👍 😍 🇩🇿 🇩🇿
Mechanical Engineers Here 👍
Interesting . . . to the point that unless you can visualise what is being made and its application, it just becomes endless clever robotics.
I wish they would show the G-code that they use. It bothers me how many machinists won't share their secrets. It is a shame.

I mean, because of all the complex shapes and toolpaths it's going to be thousands of lines of stuff...

How away i learn cnc cutting course
Very challenging job
Parts have to be precise and very well done over all ...
Thats gives a good idea about tools as a student

gia công rất chuẩn!
We maybe looking for a CNC programmer who can program both a CNC mill and a lathe. Be on the lookout, I may contact some of you guys about it.
What was up with that second one? Looked like everything was wrong lol
Absolutely beautiful.
very nice lathe mashin . i enjoy from europe industry . but unfortunatly we are under sanction in iran and cant use from this technology
European people think that they own the world. Things do not work like that.

So that first part... What threads onto threads in a grove? 🧐
Wow nice 🙏
Thank you in advance for the videos. Is there a way you can say what kind of application each part is for? 🙂

what kind of metal is that chip

Anyone here after that dude turned into shredded meat using one of these machines?
Lol yes
Yea
wut video?
That guy leaned on a working lathe machine wearing a jacket….and the machine was like WWII age.
Amazing work
Makes me wish the haas i ran had more than a 6k spindle and thru tool cooling.
Super 👍👍

Superb good job
incredible machines
Anyone else rather hear the machine instead of the music?
The best mechanical machine
How do you discover customers?
5 40, that ringing hurt my ears, i can still hear it. didnt even leave volume up, was really quiet
what brand are those carbide inserts?
This is so nice . You must work really hard! let's be friends
Do you have different-differnt kind of CNC machine ?
I got all this experience when I was in ITI
But due to govt job I left the field
Before i work this machine .where are running this machine
hi...can you make a video to cut flat panel of GLARE into rectangular specimen?
would like yo know the software used here... great video, thanks

awesome content ,keep it up.
mesmerising.
Hi
for spiral knurling and M4 Thread can be done
What is odd.... none of the machines are using coolant!
Chip former??? That’s a grooving tool or cut off tool.
What was that threading
Where are the measurements to ensure that the part is to specification? How can you skip measurements? What about wear of the cutting bit, etc?

You check if it's in spec *after* the part is finished lol replace the tool if need be if the surface quality is fucky

what is the name of the machine
