yo BK🎸
Mike M hello!..I played this guitar that is displayed whilst lying in bed with my eyes closed..I was using it to compose a song to induce other's to use the magic of the strings and conjure all the enchantment they can bring!
Bodyknowledge 77
as Jeff Spicoli wound say, 'totally dude'....LOL
that Tennessean is quite a beauty 🎸
Mike M indeed. Was just listening to G n R live from the Apollo theatre. Damn!
Bodyknowledge 77

I've been begging for one of these and you deliver. Thanks for looking out Mark😎👌🎸
One of the best sounding guitars I've heard on here.
Mark and Jenn cracking each other up is great.....always cool to work with people you like....👍👍
this is easily the best series on youtube... keep your makeup tutorials and your alfie days I just wanna hear Mr Agnesi talk about standby switches
I love that guitar. I loved the orange 6120 too. I want one.
Lets get a Duo-Sonic on the show, Mark!
Will Stark Thanks! I was going to say that.
Been catching up with my GOTD. Loved the Neil! Keep it up guys, awesome stuff 🤘
Wow what great clean sounds!
Love me a Gretsch.
GRETSCH MADE GREAT GUITARS EARLY ON ~ DRUMS TOO ~ GREAT TONES ON THESE GUITARS ~ I HAD A 1970 WHITE FALCON IN 1972 / 74 THAT I TRADES FOR A BOATLOAD OF VINTAGE SHIT BACK THEN ~ WISH I HAD THAT GRETSCH BUT I STILL HAVE THAT OTHER STUFF ~ COOL TONES MARK ~ CARLOS GUITARLOS 90042 USA
GuitarlosCarlos what vintage stuff did you trade it for man?
When I was a boy my family went to a church and there was a guy there who played one of these guitars and the dude could play it well. One of my first experances with live music and I fell in love with that guitar.
That you so much guys, I've been asking for this guitar so much
Love the Gretsch! Thank you! Great song choices too.
Have you found an Ovation 12-string? One of the best 12-strings ever made.
Love, love, love this guitar. I'm down with poopie brown.
Thanks for whipping out a Gretsch! Got a 80's era Ibanez?
Why the emphasis on NUT? Y'all lookin to get some 👀

I have a guitar Identical to that one. It was my Dads, who was a professional guitar player, and a huge Chet Atkins fan. My Dad always thought that it was a 1964, but it has a plain head stock, and looks EXACTLY like this one. So I think it has to be a 62 or 63, if they started putting the Block on the head stock in 64. The pick guard has some cracks around the screw and the binding has some cracks. Other then that, it is in very good condition. Still in the original case, and still has the flat wound strings, that my dad always used on it.
Neck Pickup: Ticket To Ride - The Beatles
Middle Pickup: I'm A Believer - The Monkees
Bridge Pickup: Southern Man - Neil Young & Crazy Horse
I really love Gretsch drums and guitars and I hope that Gretsch will move back to Brooklyn someday but in a new facility because we have had no full drum and guitar production and manufacturing here in New York since 1969 (which was the year that Baldwin screwed up Gretsch production by moving them from Brooklyn to Arkansas which resulted in 2 horrible factory fires) back to my home of New York City which I hope happens someday.
#MAKEBROOKLYNGRETSCHAGAIN
some mid/end 80s superstrat would be nice. Jackson, Kramer, Hamer...those are not vintage yet, but can be rare
Love the Gretsch!
Yes! More Gretsch please!!!
Thanks Mark for doing a beatle guitar even though you don't like them so much. ;) I still love them
I wonder if a Luthier has ever added a couple of dummy toggle switches to a guitar just for fun. Excellent guitar, content, editing playing and filming btw. Thanks!
Sky King I know that James Hetfield's signature ESP Les Paul shapes have a dummy toggle switch where there LP's pickup selector would be, the real one is where one of the 4 pots would normally be
Leland Sklar has a dummy switch in his Warwick Bass.
He calls it the producer switch. When the producer asks for a different bass tone he flips the switch and moves
his hand position closer to the neck or bridge.. :-)
Crazy Uncle Duke Yea, I read that a while ago in bass player mag. That's fricken funny, and the producers nod their heads and go " yea that's good". Shows you how much some of them really listen.
I'm liking the sound of those Hi-Lo Trons. They're amongst some of the nicest clean tones I've heard.I might have to have a peek on TV Jones website and see how much his version of these pickups cost, and then count up my pennies and cross my fingers & hope for the best that someone here in England has some kind of black Friday deal I can afford 👍
We love you Frank!!!
sounds great!
That's some awesome fizziness on "Southern Man" Mark!
"Help" film and "Shea stadium" guitar... I love it!
Man, I'd kill for that guitar.
Really good guitar sounds
You had me at Gretsch.
Hey Mark! Big fan! I love your videos man! Do you think you could do a sweet ol' epiphone Wilshire for one of these days?
Happy non Thumpin'
Thursday everyone! Luv the
'Wipeout' tease @7:28!
I love Ticke To Ride and that guitar, but it was played on Stratocasters.
Great guitar for playing “Crimson in Clover” on a Twin Reverb with tremolo!
Death to false f-holes! \m/
I love these Gretschs. Can't get enough of them. Hey Mark, have u tried playin' a lefty Gretsch? Lol.
I own a 62 Tennessean. My second. My first was a ‘67 that was stolen in 1971.
When do you learn all these songs? You missed the bridge pickup on the last song, or was that intentional!
Very cool geeky guitar ! Trailblazers....
Thanks Jen ❤️ and Mark .. I'll make an IG account soon, maybe I can help save Frank lol
sounds great
Cool! I've never played a guitar with a 0 fret.. just wondering does anyone know do all the strings touch it all the time? Is it higher than the others? Otherwise, I don't see the point or how it would work. Thanks!
No mention that it was a Chet (the man) Atkins guitar. Can't one of the greatest of all time get some (From Nashville With) love.
And yes Peter he was the man. I'm glad someone else thought of him too.
sounds pretty damn good to me!
Great job mark
Fun fact. The guy that played that Iconic Riff on the Monkees song I'm a believer was a NY session guy named Sal DiTroia. The tune was cut in NY without the Wrecking Crew. Unlike most of their hit records
Dope guitar. You read these comments, do a Tesla song.... "What you give". You the man Mark!
I actually think that was a cherry walnut originally, I have a ‘67 I got new and just last week when I changed my strings I did a deep cleaning and polishing and when I moved the Bigsby back you could see how much it faded! I love my CAT as much now as the day I got it! 👍🙋♂️🖖🏻
As I understand it, when Chet Atkins jumped ship to Gibson, the latter started to make various Chet Atkins guitars, including the Tennessean. My question is: how do the Gibsons compare with the Gretsches? Xan McCurdy gets a great sound (IMHO) on his Gibson Tennessean.
Do I have something wrong with my eyes, or was part of the video slightly out of focus? Ditto my ears, the G-string sounded ever so slightly flat on Ticket to Ride.
i come here for Frank Stallone, Carlos Guitarlos and poopy brown guitars
Nicely done Mark, how about a Taylor if you got it for Friday
dang i coulda got the set list , but i missed again what time do these come out man lol sounds sweet but i like the 6120 more of the two tho that wuz wiked but great set list
That's the nicest jean jacket I've seen in ages, where'd he get that
I thought you said the caudodorsal switch was the pickup selector?
I love it when you get Frank in videos, I don't care what negative people say about him, he's funny as hell and shares the same passion for guitars as the rest of "us".
i wish that i have a guitar from normans rare guitar
Didn't Paul play main guitar part on Ticket to Ride?
Gotta love the Neil Young technique!
OMG, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to a HARMONY ROCKET IN REDBURST!!!
WalNUT
Hilarious!!
❤️ U Jen
Mark, ur not so bad either;-)
You misidentified the pickup selector and the tone switch
it might be just me but it looks like you switched the tone switch instead of the pickup switch on that last song lol beautiful guitar though!
Do a silvertone!!! Weird ass wednesday
cool
would have loved to hear some Travis pickin'.
"People love the Beatle guitars" Side eye-roll.
Been waiting for one of these on GOTD, and I wasn't disappointed! Would dearly love to see a nice 80's Schecter 'Dream Machine' Strat at some point... :-)
Sweet
Give us a harmony !!! And Sunday is my birthday !!(:
Marks toooo cooool for laces dude.. fucking rad

I know you're not a Linkin Park guy, but it would be nice if you could play one of their riffs tomorrow.
Can you do a PRS and crank out some Linkin Park for Chester tomorrow or Saturday?
Wait did you see Marks confused face for a split second when talking about the electronics
Play more Neil Young riffs. They're incredibly unique and iconic but not so difficult.
