Hahaha dammit these are funny!!! And that's honestly a super sweet sign! Makes me want to do one for my house now! You're killing it man, killing it!!!!
Lol that was hilarious at the beginning. And the comedy through the video. Definitely sub'd and hit the bell lol. FYI say your channel on "what we watch" section of King's fine woodworking channel
Another great video, Drew (pronounced doo-fuss)! I love your style, both in video making and woodworking. Here we are about 18 months after you made this. The sign has gone through a winter or two...how's it holding up? I'm new to this hobby, but would be concerned about the longevity of water-based-poly, though I'm the first to admit that simply based off what I've heard, more than what I've personally experienced. So...did you have to invoke that failsafe excuse for why it fell apart?
Hey Matt! To be honest, I'm not sure. I haven't been over to Dan's house in ages. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually just displays it indoors. But you're right about the water-based poly. I probably should have used a Spar Urethane.
This is your best video yet, I can't put my finger on why... was it the awesome sketch up work or the super funny humor or that it was just a great build. Wait wait I got it..... it was your outfit!! Great job Drew and thanks for shirt shoutout. PS. Showed my wife and she laughed hard at the helicopter and the Drew super hero. 😂👍
I like this very much. Did you think maybe putting some LED lights behind the numbers to kind of make them stand out at night? It would really help out first responders at night.
In Philadelphia last year there actually was a rash of house number thefts. They only took 1's and 0's. I forget that they claimed the reason was when they got caught
Absolutely wonderful multipurpose device! House number sign during the day, cutting board for making supper at night! Seriously, (really?) very nice job! Oh, and DAN ROX!
As usual, nice job! Like the simple design way better than the color-bomb thingy... Thumbs up! (always raise my head a bit and look proud every time someone mentions LEGOs - a bit sentimental perhaps, since I speak the same language as those plastic pieces :D)
Is that regular or low fat yogurt? BTW my house number is 1111. I rearranged the numbers to confuse my wife, but she figured it out anyway... Keep up the comedy!
I would probably make one of the signs my only problem is it appears my mail (M or F) has no clue how to read numbers as I get everyone's mail in my box. Great work on the project!!
Hola! 🖐Really cool intro on the video, I have not seen anything like this using sketchup. Wondering where the link for the conversion chart for your units of measure is. The sign looks really, really nice. Great job 👏Take care and have a good one, Adios! 👊
I love your sense of humor and laid back delivery of amazingly thorough verbal descriptions. Very nice job on the sign. I have subscribed and look forward to your future banter...with yourself. {|;-)>---
I rarely comment on videos but felt the need to on this one. Well made video, hilarious commentary, and a beautiful end product. Looking forward to rummaging through your other videos as a new subscriber. Cheers!
I pretty sure the Cango is in Africa. Drew you bust me up. Absolutely love your content. Keep it coming. My wife thought I was the only dork in woodworking. When she head man glitter she almost peed.
Would love to see you try to make a light-up House Number Plaque with a simple transformer, I think the challenge there would be to make it out of wood and make it look good during the day but nice and visible at night!
So funny Drew!!! My 10 year old son and I greatly enjoyed it (you even had my 2 year olds attention for a bit) The intro was really funny, and the build was great. I need to get some of that Greek yogurt.
DN Handcrafted dang... I was shooting for the 2yr old demographic too!! 😂 As always, thanks for the nice words, Doug! Now hurry up and swap stickers with me so I can feature you in the next video. 😀
If i'm ever having bad or boring day i can just watch and listen to your veds and next i know giggling and my day gets better love your sense of humor and craftmanship keep them coming thanks
Cool video, I especially enjoyed the intro! The second design is indeed MUCH better, first thing I thought when I saw the first design was "meh, that's like 2000's modern" haha. I would've bought a wide maple board instead of glueing up those narrow pieces, maybe a bit cheaper if you do it your way but also a lot more work. Also, I like the floating numbers, although it might be a bit harder to read because of the shadow they cast.
Thanks Maikel! I was looking forward to doing all the fancy stuff in the first design but you're right... it wouldn't have looked good in the end and the second design was much better. I made my own panel because this way I got to design the grain pattern. Plus I had all the pieces, so it just made sense. Not sure how the shadows are going to look... that's Dan's problem. :) Thanks for watching!
I watch a lot of RUclips, and to date, this is the best vid I have seen. Good humor and I love the project. I’m going to make one of these for myself. BTW, subscribed.
I really enjoyed this video, a good bit of humor and a good looking project! I'll have to keep this in mind for the house I'm in the process of buying.
Your projects are great, and your dry humor is even better, and your outtakes make us feel better. HUGE THANK YOU. I don't know your motivation for making these videos, and frankly I don't care. I hope you are getting what you want. Keep'm coming. Thx again.
Pretty slick.. I quit fighting crime when Chicken Man went off the air and Chicken Man suits became prohibitively expensive. CHICK-EN MANNN! He's everywhere, he's everywhere!
Nicely done. Enjoyed the commentary, and punchy editing. One suggestion: you might have a longer life if you use a Spar Varnish instead of a polyurethane. It's designed for exterior use like the sign you made. Supposedly it moves better with the wood as it expands and contracts.
Very nice! Could I make one simple suggestion? Trash that stool and buy a step ladder. It will work better for getting lumber off the rack and it costs far less that a stay in the hospital with broken bones! Just a thought....... By the way, your videos rock!
DAN ROX!!!!
Fisher's Shop end result is lovely, and your laser guided drill is fxxxxx sxxxxy
I do like you're humor. Keep em coming
Can't figure out what's better. The project or the comedy. Well nice job on both.
Nice work,plus enjoyed the humor
If this is not the best Woodworking video going, I don't what is...... Great work from the land of Oz.
Hahaha dammit these are funny!!! And that's honestly a super sweet sign! Makes me want to do one for my house now! You're killing it man, killing it!!!!
Thanks so much, Chris! Means a lot coming from you! :)
Very nice sign. Wish We got to see how the actual sign looked on the house!
Hammered that subscribe button. You are a funny guy. You make good stuff & make me chuckle even more man. Good work. Keep them coming.
Thanks nortesport! :) Glad to have you
nice
hahah...lol..love the commentary....greek yogurt, good work on the sign
I thought you would have made the numbers also! But nice job!
That is exactly what I was thinking! 💭🤔
Great video, man glitter love it :)
Lol that was hilarious at the beginning. And the comedy through the video.
Definitely sub'd and hit the bell lol.
FYI say your channel on "what we watch" section of King's fine woodworking channel
Brain tickler!!😂

So a [ Squirtle > Festerance > Bezzle | Squirtle = Festerence + Bezzle ] Gotcha 👍
Oops 09:52 surprising how many people build houses on earthquake zones !!
8:33 I think Dan has Bells Palsy.
If I don’t have Greek yogurt can I use sour cream?
Hi, Where did you find the numbers ?
Just google "raised house numbers"
Another great project Drew! Your ability to give instructions blended with humor makes your videos so much more fun to watch.
That greek yogurt better be gluten free
its organically gluten free
Pfft. Everyone knows the Mayans used Galaxy phones exclusively.
This may be my new favorite channel. Keep up the good work!
Hilarious! The Congo jungles in Central America, and the Mayans using iPhones!
This is your best video yet, I can't put my finger on why... was it the awesome sketch up work or the super funny humor or that it was just a great build. Wait wait I got it..... it was your outfit!! Great job Drew and thanks for shirt shoutout.

My pleasure, Mike! So glad you liked it.
I like this very much. Did you think maybe putting some LED lights behind the numbers to kind of make them stand out at night? It would really help out first responders at night.
I don't think "brain ticklers" is the appropriate term. I believe it's "padded cranium pokers."
In Philadelphia last year there actually was a rash of house number thefts. They only took 1's and 0's. I forget that they claimed the reason was when they got caught
Andy Lanning Binary Burglars...
Absolutely wonderful multipurpose device! House number sign during the day, cutting board for making supper at night! Seriously, (really?) very nice job! Oh, and DAN ROX!
Hah, thanks Tom
Entertaining video, and nice work. But I'm glad Dan called you; that thing is just too modem for me.
I'd get confused still. Is it eleven eleven? or one one one one? could it be one thousand one hundred and eleven?? Ugh... I'd never find your house.
Great video and awesome narration! Well done sir!
Finally, someone beside me knows what schmutz is. Thank you, you have restored my faith mankind. 😊
"And the answer is simple"
Long pause
"I don't know"
😆
LOL - "The Congo Jungles of Central America"
I would probably make one of the signs my only problem is it appears my mail (M or F) has no clue how to read numbers as I get everyone's mail in my box. Great work on the project!!
Very funny and super informative.... a star is born.... look forward to more.
That Helicopter 😆🤣🤣
Awsome video your a real funny guy arnt you hahah. I like how you show the bloopers at the end makes me laugh
Love it, thanks Drew, love the sense of humor in your videos, keep it up
Glad you enjoyed
When I first used a biscuit joiner, I just found it so fun to use. I just kept cutting away at scrap material! :D
hahaha i don't realize the clamp pole until it explained at the end of the video....
The Mayans created a accurate calendar, why not have them create the iPhone!🤣
Fish, simple elegant....love it, great work
Apparently 102 people don't get sarcasm
Just found your site - and I'm in England. Didn't know the inter web broadcast that far!
Keep up the good work Mr Fisher.
Hah! Thanks, Ken! Glad to have you!
Did you say “potentionally?”
Potentially + intentionally

Hah thanks! Yeah, that was a fun one to do
I love your sense of humor and laid back delivery of amazingly thorough verbal descriptions. Very nice job on the sign. I have subscribed and look forward to your future banter...with yourself. {|;-)>---
Thanks, glad to have you! :)
Very entertaining. Beautiful work. This was my first video of yours. Definitely made the morning post coffee defecation much more enjoyable. Thanks.
Not quite sure how to respond. However, I'm sure a lot of RUclips viewing happens while on the throne. :)
The humor earned you a like and a sub. Nice job.
This is great :) You won the Internet today!
This is the first video of yours I've seen...PURE GENIUS. Subscribed!
Great video both on commentary and the project.
I rarely comment on videos but felt the need to on this one. Well made video, hilarious commentary, and a beautiful end product. Looking forward to rummaging through your other videos as a new subscriber. Cheers!
Thanks, Raz! And welcome to the channel!
What software are you using in the beginning of the video? I have been looking for something just like it. Thanks in advance. 👍🏻👍🏻🌮🌮
SketchUp
Love yr dry, whacky sense of humour!
I pretty sure the Cango is in Africa.
Drew you bust me up. Absolutely love your content. Keep it coming.
My wife thought I was the only dork in woodworking. When she head man glitter she almost peed.

Could do it with an epoxy pour for sure. Neat idea.
you gave me a god ideal. Great work, it does lol good.
what is now your ex wife's favorite scarf
Love your dad-humor. Nice Video!
So funny Drew!!! My 10 year old son and I greatly enjoyed it (you even had my 2 year olds attention for a bit) The intro was really funny, and the build was great. I need to get some of that Greek yogurt.

Hilarious video, great looking piece. What brand of biscuit joiner did you go with?
It's a Freud. Thanks for watching!
Awesome commentary! Nice work!
Loved the humor in the video! Awesome!
Nice video and good sense of humour.
The first design was the best IMO
Now this is how to make a woodworking video! Awesome video! Thanks for the laughs and knowledge!
Thanks, Jesse
In the outtakes what’s the thing called you used to clean the camera? A air compressor or something like that?
You got it
Lol. Your humour is pretty funny. I love the total deadpan voice that makes me take everything you say seriously right up until I get it.
awesome vid mate, very funny
MAN GLITTER!!! hahahahahahahahahaha
Dan seems like a cool guy.
Love it! How you only have 50k subscribers is criminal!
Thanks Gareth! Get out there and fight crime then! Spread the word! :)
Nice one. Simple but effective weekend job for a weekend wood worker like me.
Thanks for the inspiration. Cheers.
If i'm ever having bad or boring day i can just watch and listen to your veds and next i know giggling and my day gets better love your sense of humor and craftmanship keep them coming thanks
Thanks so much, Lance!
Really liked the clean modern look of the sign, also the vid was kinda funny.
Nice work! I like the raised numbers and contrasting wood!
What a great story teller you are. And a great woodworker, and a comic to boot. What CAN'T you do? :)
Love your sense of humour 👍
I liked the first design!!!!!
Cool video, I especially enjoyed the intro! The second design is indeed MUCH better, first thing I thought when I saw the first design was "meh, that's like 2000's modern" haha. Not sure how the shadows are going to look... that's Dan's problem. :) Thanks for watching!
Fisher's Shop True, since you already had the maple pieces, the way you did it makes the most sense. Again, cool project!
I watch a lot of RUclips, and to date, this is the best vid I have seen. Good humor and I love the project. I’m going to make one of these for myself. BTW, subscribed.
Haha thanks man!! 😀
Love your video style!

Pretty slick.. I quit fighting crime when Chicken Man went off the air and Chicken Man suits became prohibitively expensive.
CHICK-EN MANNN! He's everywhere, he's everywhere!
Love your style of humour.
like your videos because they are solid additions to the myriad of woodworking videos on RUclips, and you're humor is actually humorous.
Greek yoghurt lmao
Great video! Even great humor. Got a new subscriber here.
Thanks, dinoem! Glad to have you
By dang you're funny!!

Good work & very good videos.
