Not a creator but ive sifted through a lot of engoneering projects in my free time. I struggled with the idea->creation pipeline a fair bit in the past, and even now. I think thats just part of the process.
I prefer to work on a little bit of project at a time so as to not stress myself out. I never want to feel like im forcing myself to do anything. Top priority for me is having fun with it. Ill sort of alternate between shorter and longer projects to keep things fresh and rewarding. Sometimes I put one on hold to focus on something else. Sometimes something never gets finished.
I think your content has been pretty great (that youve posted). From this video it sounds like you have ideas, and most of those ideas are interesting (vocaloid shoegaze kino). You discount those ideas a lot in the video but theyre a really important part of the design process. You can't have any good video without a proper idea. Even if the past couple attempts havent worked out, youll definitely settle on something and edit it fully and feel like its good. Even if it takes a while.
Sorry if its annoying im not a youtuber offering youtuber advice but hopefully I could draw some parallels. Good luck 🙏

    sup mayo
i usually make ukulele covers of songs, and there's a maybe similar situation going on my end, as in i have a lot of ideas of songs that would be very cool to be covered, but don't have a lot of energy/desire/time to do any of them. to find out the thing to really work on, i spend some time with each idea/song, see if it sticks: if it doesn't, i let it go till better times, if it does, it's nothing but this idea for a month, even if it's a simple little song. my advice would be to take time slowly with such work, with consistent breaks throughout your working process. it usually helps me to take stuff in little steps, even if it would take a lot of time. that usually leaves me with more time to other stuff in little steps as well.
btw that video idea about linguistics sounds absolutely fire.

They say art is 50% creativity and 50% hard work.
You really need to push yourself on finishing one project before starting another. What i like to do is have a list of ideas all on one document with at max 1 or 2 sentences, just enough for me to remember the idea so i can start wrinting again immediately.
If you must start another script before you forget, though, just make everything bullet points instead of writing a whole new script while you're already finishing a seperate video. Trust me this works.
Me personally, im making my biggest video yet right now and the creative process is going pretty well. I haven't really ever tried too hard on a video, so this will be the first real push to get any views. If you ever wanna talk feel free to message me anywhere. My name is always the same

I hate you mayo, you sound like me at 3am reminding myself "how to get things done". All I know is, every project comes with boring a part no one wants to do, this is what troubles a very creative person. Drawing: sketching is fun, painting hurts. Blender: Making 3d models is fun, riggin sucks. Making videos: getting clips and scripting is fun, knowing how to make everything fit / editing is pain. Even your bhop dude, with your skill today, if you took time to route bhop_emevaelx3 (map at 3:50), you could hit a decent PB and get way more satisfaction at the end by seeing what youre capable of, cuz bhop is about learning from past mistakes while pushing your aim. My point is, you gotta learn to like the boring parts, if you get into the habit of abandoning projects, and pursuing the "fun part" of newer ones, youll end up getting less done and less gratification in the end.
Im intrigued with the idea of making longer videos with little editing, whats your goal with that? More subs, getting a view quota? it sounds like youre treating your videos like some gimmick by "separating" what makes your channel great. I dont think youre giving yourself enough credit dude, they feel like an artform when i watch them but thats personal opinion

I've heard a lot of this and there's a similar comment by someone else about "enjoying the boring/hard stuff" but I think i already have a pretty good mindset on the topic of "boring" stuff as i'm able to get through a lot of the more boring time consuming tasks (researching, editing script, recording/cutting voice over) decently as it's all for the sake of pursuing the fun parts which is actually editing the video and making graphics. The problem is my perception of the quality of the video which I don't think I made clear in this video, and I know there's lots of reasons for that, when editing a video you basically watch it 1000 times and when you expose yourself to that enough combined with the fact that you're the one actually making it, the small details, inconsistencies, and "cringe stuff" become way more obvious whether it be rational or irrational. For me it's both but I am able to tell the difference.
I experience this and it kills the honeymoon phase, double digit hours spend editing goes to waste and instead of the project becoming "not fun" it becomes painful to look at for another X amount of hours. Not to mention, there isn't any external factors, or hard deadlines to place responsibility on me to complete a video as opposed to if someone was doing this full time to where they would have to make a video or get an eviction notice. I'm safe whether I upload or not so that burden of responsibility isn't placed on me, therefore i'm apathetic to it despite still wanting to do it.
I'm aware this is a pretty immature way of looking at it but I can't really control how I feel so I just decide to move on to the next idea since that becomes far more appealing to me anyway. It's hard to control which translates to your question about separating production quality and topic.
I think every RUclipsr/artist wants more people viewing their stuff, i'm no exception to that as much as I like to deny it. But basically I have lots of things I want to talk about and there's a ton of variety (i have a huge backlog of scripts, some finished some not) and i'm constantly thinking about the next topic to talk about. It's probably ADHD or something, but that conflicts heavily with the editing portion since that part can take up to a month of work wheras thinking about a topic, and writing it takes maybe 1-3 days, or sometimes just a couple hours. I don't think I can really do anything about the "honeymoon phase" stuff which is why I thought of the compromise at the end of the video. I agree with the fact it's better if I can just keep it longform with the same, or similar quality but i'm afraid i'd just be stuck in this loop indefinitely if I don't switch things up, at least temporarily.
      TL;DR:
I've become too much of a perfectionist the better my skills got. The compromise will help finish something before my dopamine runs dry for whatever video I am currently working on.
