Your covers are always great but for some reason your Donkey Kong Country covers are just that one step beyond. Maybe it's my own affinity for DKC's music, I love it's captivating ambience, and you capture it beautifully!
Wow. This is what making a cover is all about: being true enough to the original while adding your own twist - meeting expectations (the percussive sounds) while surprising listeners (the subdued slap bass). The effect is reigniting the fans’ love for the track. Brilliant work, Gab.
A while ago, I started watching an art tutorial and this came on in another tab while I was unaware. I was like, "wow, this art tutorial has sick music".
This honestly might be one of the best covers you've done, at least in my eyes. I'm not a music guy, so I don't know the terms, but this just really hits hard.
This soundtrack captivated so many people because for generations video game music was bleeps and bloops (at least in most people's minds) and then here comes this ambient new-age soundtrack with 3-D rendered graphics that sounds and looks too good for a 16-bit system.
...Gab I'm totally speechles, the atmosphere with the light, the warm strings, the insane bass and percussions with the softer guitar and melotica sounds..I have totally goosebumps! For me this is quit the hymn of all the water songs out there I love it even more than dire dire docks but you made me fall in love again with this song, amazing cover! 💙

Also wow, it's so fitting for me as today I'm having my ecclesiastical Wedding and it helped me soothe the nerves :D Think that will make me remember this cover forever

It’s really cool to see the piano take a more highlighted role in your covers since you started learning, and this is a fantastic piece to demonstrate your skill in piano. Not to be too negative, but potentially I think I'd have liked a bit more of a 16th - note feel on the piano, but maybe that's just me.
