      Dr Hook NICE! I am a fan. RHCP were one of my first ever adult gigs i went to at QU2 Park in CHCH, By The Way tour from memory. Papa Roach opened for them, i may or may not have been ummmm too far gone..... to remember PR, but RHCP were awesome

      That would have been brilliant! I got about 3 people away from the stage at Foos at Western Springs when they were so loud that the earthquake scale got set up. Was proper intense!

    Not a concert goer due to crowds and hassle factor to get there. We did go to Fleetwood Mac late 2019 with Neil Finn. Stayed in The Grand Sky City hotel for the night highly recommend. Got a feeling the band may have stayed there as no access to 2 floors above us and met one of the crew on our way out the next day in the lift who took the pictures of the book I bought at the show.

      That sounds damn awesome! There is a lot of admin work that goes into going to a gig, especially if you are not in the same area.

      Nice. I have never been to a festival. I look at some of the festival line ups overseas and often cry.

    I kind of moved into a Country music vibe. I saw Little Big Town recently and the Eagles. My favorite was Van Halen. I would have loved to see Stevie Ray Vaughn live.

      Will check out little big town. I saw the Eagle 7ish years ago. Brilliant performance! Van Halen is awesome, SRV would have been brilliant to have had the chance to see.

    I've seen both System of a Down AND KoRn live!! I can assure you, they are both earth shatteringly good. Think last concert I went to was Metallica at Vector Arena Akl, not bad either

      Nice, if I get the chance I will be there! I missed the recent Metallica tour, caught them twice on Death Magnetic, CHCH and Auckland.

    love concerts, lost count of how many been to. Last one was GunsNRoses at western springs Ak. Really want to see Metalica, have missed them 4 times. Best ever by far was Black Sabbath at Vector arena Ak. Would have loved to have seen Motorhead.

    • @TheFishRoom
      @TheFishRoom  Месяц назад

      Moterhead would have been rad! Was that the recent GnR tour or the one before? I caught them the one before, in Wellington and Auckland from memory. But of a "mistake" was planning and wife being pregnant. Metallica is rad, caught them on the Death Magnetic Tour a couple of times, and managed to tick of Sabbath on The End Tour in Dunedin, the night before was Maiden in CHCH, was an intense 48 hours.

      What is stopping you? There must be plenty of touring bands coming through where you are? (Naturally assuming that America is just one large city that bands play at every day LOL)

      @TheFishRoom I lost my tolerance for large groups of people and loud music. I'm getting old. My ears don't stop ringing, so I can't see adding any excessive noise that I'm not getting paid for as a worthwhile investment anymore. The ringing already drowns out the alarm clock frequently. I'm definitely not yucking your yummy. Enjoy it while you do. 😊

    Haven’t been to a good concert in ages. Not as much good artists these days. The cookie cutter production line we have for most popular music hides the good new talent.
    Last great concert I went to was Adele and Coldplay before that. Best concert was Metallica back in the 1990’s when they toured after releasing the black album. If I could see anyone today, I wouldn’t mind seeing Pearl Jam up in Auckland in November, but I don’t think I’ll be able to get to see them. 🤬🤬🤬

    • @TheFishRoom
      @TheFishRoom  Месяц назад

      I agree re a lot of new artists, I recently found Amy MacDonald, she has a great vibe to her music. Also local Nelson artist MJ Kennedy is worth a listen. Adele and COldplay are not my style, but I would imagine they are proper profesional when it comes to shows and would be worth the money for admission. I was put of PJ when I saw them about 20 years ago (gosh, that hurts to say) and Eddie told the crowd not to mosh.... I was like who is this, and where is PJ.
