OMG! I have been watching your videos for awhile now and they are completely different now from this. You look as if your trying to appeal to the "hip" generation. I love it. Love the backwards cap! :) Love all your videos!
Couldn’t agree more! I have the Backlite 36L which I use when “Walkabout” as my equipment storage and home base, stays in the SUV or hotel, and I use the 18 for single outings, day trips, etc.
Some people have shoe fetishes, me I'm addicted to bags! I've been looking for a camera bag bigger than my sling but not as big as my large Lowepro case. This bag is now on order (with a few additional items!) after watching your review. I hope I will be as happy with my new purchase as you are!
Mark stumbled across your old video researching backpacks for my secondary M43 system. First time l've seen you without the beard. This pack or another smaller capacity Mindshift looks perfect for day trip urban use.
Excellent review, Mark! As a thinkTANKPhoto backpack and shoulder bag user, I was thinking of trying out their MindShift Gear, either this Trailscape 18L or the FirstLight 20L. As a mirrorless shooter myself, (Fujifilm X-System), I try to "pack light" when going hiking, so wouldn't need a large backpack for more than one body and 3 or 4 lenses. I like that you can remove the waistband/belt as well. I just need to compare the features/size betwen the aforementioned two bags, to figure out which is best...also, how it fits under an airplane seat! Thanks again!
@@MarkDenneyPhoto Thank you, Mark! I am also considering the MindShift Gear PhotoCross 15. Have you by chance tried that backpack, and reviewed how it compares to the TrailScape 18L, other than obviously being 2 L larger?
Yo. I was like why is Mark so hyper in this video. But its an old one. Thankful you calmed down a bit. Must be the beard. How does the bag holdup over the years?
Funny enough, I just watched this video myself and had a similar question. Now that the 18l version of the backlight is available do you think you would pick it over the trailscape. I am torn between them too.
*subscribed* Good videos! I am also an a7 shooter and have the Backlight 26L on order. I like the back opening of the backlight but i am a bit concerned about the size (being to big). I shoot landscapes and in addition general photo. When i am shooting landscapes or taking my gear I usually bring the 14mm Samyang, 16-35mm f4, 24-70GM and the 70-200GM. I have the Rotation 180 panorama but it cant really carry any equipment besides lens and camera and a jacket. After seeing your video on the trailscape, maybe that would be sufficient...
Thank ya for subscribing! I use my Backlight 26L on longer trips where I need to bring more gear, but on quick day trips I always bring the Trailscape. I have a "What's in my Bag" video that shows everything I carry in the Trailscape on a daily basis. It's a smaller bag coming in at only 18L, but it's designed wonderfully and I'm still surprised as to how much you can actually get in it. Thanks for the comment!!

The 18L was absolutely perfect for me. I'm 5'2" and have been looking for the right fit for ages that will hold a 600m lens. A++
You're such a natural! I love your enthusiasm
Thank you!! I appreciate that👍

Is the 13in laptop max accurate or could you fit a slimmer 15? Thanks for the great review, very helpful.
Excellent Review!!!! One of the best ones I'v seen for this bag so far!!!
Thank ya, Daniel! Much appreciated. It's a great bag for my kit!

Steve TQP Many thanks Steve! Very much appreciated. The Trailscape 18L is an excellent mirrorless bag and great for airline travel👍

Bring back the backwards cap and exuberant attitude to 2020! Mindshift has great gear.

Mark, have you reviewed the Backlight 18L? I’m trying to decide between it and this Trailscape. Thanks for the video review.
Hey Alfredo! No, I haven’t done a review on that bag yet.
Mark Denney Thanks Mark. I went ahead and purchased the Backlight 18L today. Keep up the awesome videos.
Thanks man! Will do👍

Hey Kevin! Yeah I’d go with the Backlight 18L over the Trailscape.
does this travel backpack stand up by itself for times when you are in the airport and just want to rest it down?
Globe Vidz I just tested it - it stood up, but I think it really depends on how it's packed. It wasn't super stable.
It would be a tight fit, but I bet you could make it work as long as you have the body mounted to the lens.
Mark Denney ok thanks
Outstanding video review! This bag is amongst my top being considered. I am a new Sony convert as well.
Thomas Roeser Thanks Thomas! Very much appreciated!
Ended up ordering this bag yesterday before watching reviews 😅 looks like by your video I made a great purchase
I have the exact same bags! I love them 😍 Great video review.
Thanks Patricia! It's still my favorite bag!!

2020 Mark vs 2017 Mark...
The bags are made by Think Tank. Mindshift is the modlel.
You like all sized bags, but you don’t pay for them
