That's not true, what do you mean by "lack of halal food"? Halal food is everywhere in China, you can easily find halal food and halal restaurants in China. I've travelled back and forth numerous times to China for business and leisure, never had a problem finding halal food. As for visa, just so you know, China visa is among the easiest to get with simple procedure that don't require much documents when applying, compared to other countries like South Korea. If you live in Indonesia, the easiest visa to get for Indonesians are the Japan visa and China visa, these two countries are the easiest to get visa approved. If your visa application got rejected by either one of these two countries, then the problem is with you, not them!
