    Hello. Hope you get to read this.
    I am interested in having this soundproofing measure installed in my house but am curious how you approach installing this product on a wall that has pre-existing wall sockets for electrical appliances & an aerial socket? How do you get around this? Also, how would you approach a wall that has a protruding old fireplace/chimney with alcoves either side that extend from the floor to the ceiling?
    Many thanks.

      Hi @GregoryGuay this is actually an old video and we have a new system to be used on walls and ceilings. Have a look at this video to see our ReductoClip ceiling system - ruclips.net/video/4aPYW2HbF2E/видео.html

    I live in an apartment where my neighbors insist on pounding the wall either with a hammer or with your fists. Tonight it sounded so loud that I thought they had throwing a couch against the wall. Of course that's not possible but it was so loud that it scared my cat and made my TV Shake. Will this help with sounds like that?

      Hi Deb Stein - That is a little extreme with the heavy, direct impact on the wall. But yes, if any system is going to help, it will be the IsoMax Clip system. We certainly can't guarantee that it would block 100% of the sound out as this is incredibly difficult in a attached property, but it will, at the very least, give you a huge reduction in the volume and clarity of the sound.

    Hello, I have one question. I have problem with the neighbour next door (terraced house) . Its only brickwall ( 20cm) between us and the neighbours and the house is built mostly in concrete. We hear the noise of Children screaming but also the noise of furniture moving around on the floor. What is the best solution? Like in ths video ? Do you ship to Sweden? /David

      Hello David, the system you need to look at is the ProSound™ ReductoClip Independent Wall System. Similar to the IsoMax System, but with added benefits:
      www.soundproofingstore.co.uk/reducto-clip-system
      www.soundproofingstore.co.uk/reductoclip
      Is the floor concrete or timber? Can you hear any noise coming up from the floor as well as the wall? We only deliver within the UK, but you can source your own freight forwarding company who can take it from the UK to Sweden and we can deliver it to them.

    If I use this system either side of a chimney breast am I likely to have a positive result or is it a waste of time?

    • @SoundproofingStore
      @SoundproofingStore  4 года назад

      The chimney is naturally more soundproof, as it contains more mass than the rest of the wall due to the extra layers of brick. Therefore, in nine out of ten cases, just soundproofing the alcoves is sufficient. However, every now and again, in older properties, weaknesses can form which allow the sound to get into the flu, and then the sound can resonate inside and amplify. This is rare, but our top tip would be to do a simple ear test. Next time you hear noise next door, put your ear up against the alcove wall and get a good sense of what you can hear. Then put your ear against the chimney breast and compare. You will probably find you don’t actually hear the sound coming through the chimney breast, however, if you do - let us know!

      @@SoundproofingStore Hiya, thanks so much for getting back to me. I have done an ear test and I can hear some noise from the chimney but not as much. In one of the rooms where the fire place is not in use I was planning on blocking it up and stuffing the flue with bags of insulation, sound ok? In the other room the fire is in use so I am just going to do the alcoves and hope that this is sufficient unless you have any other ideas? Thanks again.

      @SoundproofingStore  4 года назад

      @@LP-ne4il Using SoundBoard4 around the chimney would certainly help. Alternatively, if there is sufficient space at the back of the chimney, again using SoundBoard 4, followed by a fireboard.
      Yes, stuffing the flu of the chimney not in use with insulation would definitely work and we would recommend Rockwool RW3.

    Can I just install the isomax clip on the solid wall directly?

    • @SoundproofingStore
      @SoundproofingStore  Год назад

      Hi Bart Tan - Thank you for your comment. Actually we no longer supply the IsoMax system this is a very old video. We woulnd't have recommended to install that system directly to the wall, however we now use an improved system called the ReductoClip system and this can be installed directly to the wall. Check out this video - ruclips.net/video/lI2bdQZWyOE/видео.html

      @@SoundproofingStore hi thanks for your prompt reply
      May I know why the isomax system are not recommended to install directly on a wall?
      Your reductoclip looks more better

    • @SoundproofingStore
      @SoundproofingStore  Год назад

      @@barttan9968 Sure, they are just a more rigid clip and the metal bracket contacts the wall, so although it would certainly help to a degree, you don't get as good isolation as with the ReductoClip. So I would recommend de-coupling with a frame to get the best results from it. The ReductoClip however gets great results direct to wall.

    Hi, I want to build a portable studio in a Sprinter van conversion. Would this Be possible for soundproofing a separate studio room within the van?

    • @SoundproofingStore
      @SoundproofingStore  5 лет назад

      Hi Noc Sub - I'm sure it can be done, the problem will be space loss and weight. The IsoMax System will take up 133mm off each wall and 73mm off the ceiling, so won't leave you with much space in the van. Also, to block sound we need mass and mass = weight. So making sure the van can adequately support all the weight of the heavy boards is important.

    Can this eliminates the sound of running kids from next door?

    • @SoundproofingStore
      @SoundproofingStore  5 лет назад

      The IsoMax system dramatically decreases excessive noise from noisy neighbours and would certainly help to reduce the sound of kids running around next door. The only way to completely remove footfall from next door would be soundproof their floor. Using the IsoMax system on the wall and installing rockwool on your floor along the party wall should give you a significant reduction.

      Hi Christopher, i'm afraid we don't carry out installation ourselves. We specialize in specifying the best systems for your problem and giving good, accurate advice and we supply professional materials and systems. In terms of installation, most of our systems are straight forward enough for a good DIYer to do themselves. If not, a local tradesman should be able to install our systems easily following our instructions. I hope this is helpful, please don't hesitate to get in touch if you need any further help. www.soundproofingstore.co.uk

      Grateful Dude - Very good point. Obviously this is only a diagram for illustration purposes, but the IsoMax system is tested to block 65db of airborne sound on a single layer brick wall.
