- Pickwick Lake was the fifth stop of the FLW Tour and a do or die for anglers trying to make the Forrest Wood Cup. While Pickwick is known for being a ledge fishing favorite, you might be surprised to find out how this tournament was won.

Spent 18 years of my life every summer in Florence Ala. My grandpa and aunt lived there and spent a lot of time enjoying the culture. Wilson Dam, Wheeler Dam and Pickwick Lake are have to spots to visit.

I have watched them all including all of Bass Masters. This show is the best one. Not just because Hackney is one of my Favorites. Whish it had been a flipping bite. I love to watch him and Christie Flip Jason Buttrey

i miss watching these on sunday when I was a kid.. i lived in michigan, was obssesed with fishing. My mom moved us to Houston Texas with no good fresh water spots and the ocean is nothing like the lakes I use to fish at, havent touched a rod since.
Some of the best bass fishing in the country is in Texas
That's what I've always heard was Texas has some of the biggest bass around

no probably not. on tn river lakes, most of the bass move out onto main lake river channels in summer. they school up on certain areas, by the 100s or more. they are easy to find with today's electronics. then you just wait til they get hungry & you can catch a bunch.

Kawani Pi9i he didn’t mean to. In all states except a few, it is a legal catch if the fish is foul hooked unless the angler did it on purpose or was sight fishing.

Most of the time, but not all the time.
Its best for just about everything except your super light tackle finesse presentations such as drop shots.

A lot of the time, if you don't come to the weigh-in with 20 lbs. or more of fish on Pickwick, you may as well go to the house because you won't be in the money. At all.
I live and fish Pickwick daily. It's not stocked with bass but the tournaments have done number on the bass population. We locals here enjoy having the tour in town, but they need to limit and do a cut to make it on to the tournament to Pickwick. That many boats kills the fishing due to the pressure during the tournaments such as college, pro, and local.
