Land & Sea: Mistaken Point mystique

Etched onto two shelves of stone are the remnants of ancient creatures that lived more than 560 million years ago. The Mistaken Point fossils are like cryptic messages from the distant past. They were once primitive animals that lived at the bottom of the ocean. The volcanic ash that killed them also, miraculously, preserved them. The Land & Sea team first shared this story in 2010.
