In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of www.iamalpham.com, www.peteandpedr... and www.aaronmarino... talks about the facial hair style that women find MOST attractive. This video is based off of a study designed to determine what length facial hair was most attractive. The conclusion is that ten day old stubble is viewed as most attractive. In this video Aaron also teaches you how to get the perfect ten day old stubble look.
The findings of a 2013 Australian facial hair study is revealed! In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro is discussing facial hair growth and how women rated aspects related to health, attractiveness, masculinity, and parenting ability.
351 women and 177 heterosexual men were part of the study. Alpha discusses how the study was conducted with clean, 5 day, 10 day, and full growth. The results were surprising to them, not to Alpha. 10 day growth scored highest. Clean and 5 day rated 'meh'.
How long is 10 day stubble anyway? Alpha researched how long facial hair takes to grow and discusses. He then applies his findings to his facial hair grooming tool. 4mm is equivalent to 10 day stubble. Maximize your sexiness!
His conclusion = 4-5mm length is the "sweet spot".
Best clipper attachment = Grade 1.5, which is 4.5mm 👍

I’m now 26 and I can now grow a goatee + soul patch. I quite like it. My mustache also looks better. But still no full beard. I’m rocking the Asian kungfu master look now. Just be happy with what you’ve got!

I have been experimenting with facial hair since 2013 and a razor hasn't touched my face since 2012. I got very attached to a handlebar mustache/van dyke beard combo for almost two years until Jan 1st of this year when I got upset and needed change & wanted to feel different so I cut it off to a basic beard. I have been experimenting ever since (getting burnt by a girl last year is what sparked all this) anyway started sporting a hybrid beard that was about 4-6 weeks worth of growth that faded to short lengths on the cheeks...
but once again I got frustrated so I took the smallest guard (3mm) and trimmed it and then something odd happened - I noticed that I started to get more female attention a few days after and then the attention slowdown because I grew it back to about a months length. I started experimenting again, trimming with the number 2 guard (6mm) but the magic wasn't working so I went screw it and popped on the # 1 guard (3mm) nothing happened really until about 5 days later when I showed up to concert, I ended up getting one girls number and had another girl flirting with me... and then 3 days after that getting the number of another girl.
So it's kind of funny 3mm is too short/meh & 6mm is just a little too rough - well at least for me so I bought a new shaver with 3.5, 4, 4.5... etc options today and now time will tell if the in between 3mm & 6mm is the sweet spot.

How long the full beard was?
Depends on the guy really. I personally let my beard grow for 5 months and everyone except my parents (of course) love it and say I am better looking. Some guys just don't look good with a beard. I also noticed that the majority of the girls are looking and staring at me a lot more than before, some of them even asked to touch it :D
I'm a grown woman, and in the 70s beards were all the rage. I grew out of that and I like better a clean shaved guy. Specially as you grow older, salt and pepper beards make you older. Clean shaved guys look younger and sexier.
Susazeu Well I know a lot of grown woman like clean shaved guy but for a 22 years old guy like me, I've noticed a lot of girls of my age find beards attractive when it's well groomed with a good haircut (for example I got a fade with my hair drown back and a separation). Since this look I''ve never been looked at that much. Obviously I'm talking about experience as it depends on the girl really, each on their own!

depends very much on the facial type, some people with stubble/beard look like convict, others shaved clean looks too young. Anyway, you should make a video on the best self tanners
I wouldn't Dwell too much on this Study. I honestly think any Facial Style suits me. I usually Rock a Goat T, Flavor Savor, Chin Strap or sometimes let my Beard grow for a whole Month. Any Look, looks Good on me.

I've never been happy with the way my beard grows in, especially when trying to grow a full beard. I tend to enjoy the look of a circle beard or goatee, but the look does age me as it grows in more salt than pepper these days. And it's a look that needs constant grooming and maintenance. The easiest thing for me to do is go fully neat shaven. When you get into your 40s it's appreciated when you can literally shave 5-8 years off your face with a clean shaven look
Alpha M. The culture and the geographical attribute is the base for the how long must your facial hair be. Personal opinion the 10 day is the best although I have grown a full beard. Keep them up!

I'm 38 years old, and my beard has too many "holes"/too much patchiness to work. I can't even grow a goatee in properly, due to various bald spots that render my goatee area asymmetrical. Guess I'm destined for "meh", according to this study.

trx1991 Some of the bald spots appeared in my late twenties, possibly due to folliculitis, but my beard was never extremely full to begin with. I have to be careful with how I shave, as well, because the hairs on my neck and cheeks are prone to becoming ingrown. I'm thinking that, one of these days, I'll either opt for laser hair removal, and just get rid of my beard altogether, or I'll opt for transplant surgery to fill in the bald areas. Because right now, it's just sort of an obnoxious shit-show.
+TestMeatDollSteak one of the ways you fight bald spots is to just let it grow out more. Sometimes the extra hair will just grow enough to cover it up. You got to give it time
Gumba Chris Doesn't work in my case. Tried it, trust me. What I end up with is the goatee equivalent of a comb-over, wherein I have to let certain areas of hair grow longer than others, so as to "hide" the bald spots. Trimming the facial hair then becomes a major chore, because if I were to simply use an electric trimmer, such as the one Alpha advertises in this video, then I'd cut everything the same length and expose the bald areas. It's just not worth the hassle, and never really looks how I want it to, so fuck it. I go clean shaved now.

I have a question. Should you shake hands with a woman when you first meet her? Now I'm not talking about the everyday casual situations (a new girl at work, a random chick at the bar ...). I'm thinking about a more professional scenario, a meeting and that woman can be the company's potential partner. Something like that. Or when you are introduced to a friend's wife. Do you give your grip of masculinity like you would with another man? Should you grab her hand gently and kiss it (I suppose this is highly inappropriate in most situations, but sometimes this works)? Or would a 'Nice to meet you' be just fine? Usually when a woman reaches her hand out, I go in for the shake. BOOM! But when she is more conservative, it usually takes me a few awkward seconds before I reach my hand out to offer a hand shake. So guys, any advice?
Always shake her hand, in a professional scenario. Shake it firmly, but not so firmly it will hurt. As a business woman, I expect a gentleman to extend his hand to me first.

I'm a woman (find these videos helpful, aside from the facial hair haha) and think it's relative, to the woman (her opinion), as well as the man sporting the hair. The recent trend is hipster beards and man-buns, I am repulsed, but another woman (young girls, usually) drools. Personally, I find 3rd day attractive...throw a smattering of dirt/motor oil, even better....Anything beyond that, I make my husband shave. 😏

I find these types of studies irrelevant. I believe so much more goes into play that's not even thought of. Like hair color, ethnicity, clothing style, hair style, facial structure, eye shape and color, stature, setting, age, hair curliness, weight, etc. Personal preference is influenced by so many factors...religious beliefs, father figure, heroism, discipline, societal norm, societal extremism, etc. It's like having a puzzle of a landfill, calling it a coral reef and asking if they like the picture (without knowing what it is) based off of only one of the pieces. There is so much more that makes up perceptions and preference than the length of facial hair. I say, you're the only person you have to please. Like you for you and don't go with the trend. If you think what you do to your body and what you wear make you attractive, more power to you! To each his own.

I'm 19 and the longer my facial hair gets it's starts to get curly so I must trim, I mean it's not the best beard but better than being baby face and it's not patchy. However for November I was able to make my moustache look like a hipster stache with both ends twisted up with some wax, alot of people don't like it but on 2 of my night outs girls complement it and like to touch it haha

Sweet! Been using clippers set at 4mm for a while now :) My beard grows so slow it's not funny, I think the continents move quicker. It also grows unevenly too, so I used 2mm till most of it was the same length, then 2.5mm ect up till 4mm. I stopped there because I thought it looked about right, seems I was spot on :)
