Hey! One mod I did on my clk which has the same fog lights as the slk, is I gutted out the fog light lens and inners. I drilled a hole on the back of the back cover, and put a pvc pipe to attach a intake hose to the snorkel on the air box or in your case, right in front of the air filter.
Thanks for the video. I have a 2005 CLK 320, that is stock. An AMG body kit will replace the front bumper that i broke in our driveway and the rear bumper that was already damaged when I bought it. I never thought about performance mods, due to the car being old, resale value and it just turned 180k miles.
Got the gearbox remapped on my c320 and it’s transformed the car more so than any other mod Torque limiters removed Rev raised And now I have W S A and M modes It should have been like this from factory I would highly recommend it
Thank you for your informative video. I own a Chrysler Crossfire which is basically same car. My car is stock . I did get a larger throttle body which Came from Mercedes V8. I cleaned it and need to install it once my arm surgery gets healed better. I am right handed and I have no strength in my arm now. plus i need to have the AC repaired with a total new parts installed the parts alone was $500 its not been installed yet I am afraid what its gonna cost me in labor for this repair and I need to replace the water pump which is a pain. I had a new clutch installed with a used face plate and all new seals the fluid replacements on the rear $2300. a new paint job at Macco what a waste of good money its peeling already UGHHH its only 1 year old, they want to charge me more than what I paid the first time to fix their sub par work. This little car is gonna cost me more than it is worth by the time its over with. What I wanted to know did you attain more horsepower and is the MPG's about the same if you don't get on it? I wish these Mercedes V6's had a better sound. I own a 2013 Mustang V6 which has way better sound with factory duel exhausts with muffler deletes . I love my Crossfire but it is very temperamental and expensive when the electronic go bad like when my scream died and my keys didn't work it cost me $1000 to have someone I found on the website willing to help me. Because no one wants to work on a Crossfire. Mine car is a 6 speed.
Good job. But also have several questions... As i know if you install bigger TB, you have to bore the manifold itself too. Did you bored M112 intake manifold to 74MM? As i know M112 manifold itself, is not made for 74MM TT, it's 66... I am also going to put 82MM TB from S550 engine on my M113 V8 and i have to bore the manifold to that spec.
the m112 is set up for a 74mm already and my tb is ported a little more also. and fits great. good luck with you m113 I also got a few m113 Benz that will be on the channel very soon. with a few go fast parts lol
I've been looking to pick up an SLK 230 or 320. Would you recommend one over the other? Any idea how much gain there is on the 3.2 with basic mods? This would just be a fun project car/toy. I have a MK7 GTI as a daily and an RX7 as a track toy already. I'd appreciate any advice you can offer.

Do the slk320’s come supercharged? Someone’s selling theirs and it has an amg badge on it and says it’s supercharged. If it is, how much power does it make?
Nice work- I would say that doing this with an auto car seems counter intuitive to me... they did come with a 6 speed manual which I actually have. It transforms the car and this mod seems much more appropriate to that.
well knock on wood the auto is holding up with my mods and 00shot of nitrous. also the 722.6 trans holds crazy tq. the 6 speed would of broke by now from what I am told. also the 722.6 trans are cheaper to fix and a crap lodes of parts for them. but if ant 6speed slk/crsoofire want to race I am down. lol
@@Nd_72 The Mercedes Swap Shop showed that a 5.0L M113 making 350-360 lbft mated to the stock 6-speed manual doesn't break anything even after 10s of thousands of miles
@@18pluskiddo the 6 speed in the XF is different than the SLK manual that’s the reason why. It’s from a Jeep of the same era. I’ve talked with Josh about this as well. Plus he has a video on his channel that talks about transmissions and why the XF 6 speed is the more ideal manual for handling the torque for the manual swaps. A guy just swapped a manual along with an M113k engine into another XF but had to beef up the trans a little. Big strides and more people are becoming more active on the R170 platforms in the XF and Merc community. A lot of V8 and LS swaps and even a couple of HEMI’s now. Just means more aftermarket support and it will help keep these cars on the road longer as well.
If you want to kill it, then shoot it with a gun, which will save you time, and money. This is knuckleheaded, an would be I'll advised by any trained mechanic.
You think you're going to get 300hp + by doing what you're doing? I have a spray that adds 100hp just by spraying the top of your intake manifold to sell you for your amazing build, only $100.00! That's $1.00 per pony!

slk320 are easier and will run for ever slk230 can get more power cheaper

If it's a slk 320 AMG it's 330hp or 349 yes supercharger
