As an Israeli , I wish these 2 brave leaders , Golda and Sadat, would have been alive today .. the situation would not escalate if we had more leaders like these, RIP
To think Sadat payed for his life for seeking peace. And he wasn't even bowing down to them. I was young back then, but it was a sad day for my parents. Now you have a new generation of kids who don't talk to their parents, they wear symbols and flags without knowing what they really mean, and the pain it caused. When a generation does not know its own history, the memory of the great figures of the past vanish with them. And it is a real tragedy.
What if Golda lived today? What would she say of the crazy moments we live today? Here in Italy we love Israelians, they are our friends. But we are also friends of Palestinians and we cannot see how Israelians and Palestinians fight each other.
I'm an Egyptian and I love Golda all the way, she and Sadat would have made a very cool couple .. she is way older, but you can tell, they like each other :)
