Been travelling to Ireland (mostly Donegal) for more than 30 years for at least once a year. SouthWest-Donegal is by far my favourite region and I stopped counting my hikes to the top of Slieve League. Its a must see! I do prefer the pilgrims path, nowadays signposted and that way is also avoiding the tourist masses to the viewing platform. A nice spot you haven't mentioned: Án Port! Hiking paradise along the stunning coastline. It's near Glencolumbkille the coast upwards. And of course, when it comes to beaches, there are so many beautiful beaches in Donegal, but my favourite one is Silver Strand in Malin Beg, also near Glencolumbkille. When I was in the region in 2022 I noticed film crews and later found out, that Liam Neeson was there that time and now I can't wait to see this film being released in the second half of 2023: Search for - In the Land of Saints and Sinners!
I spent most of September in Donegal, mainly around Ardara, making a film anout Kilclooney Dolmen, it's staggeringly beautiful but it was the people that really made it special for me, friendliest place I've ever been to... so refreshing to meet that in the current climate, coming from an increasingly anti-social England.
I used to live in house with my father on hornhead. truely a privileged time of our life. Renting a house and waking up upon the sea cliffs of donegal is one of my core memory's of growing up here. Truly breath taking having your morning cuppa on a sunny summers morning watching the basking sharks wade in the ocean or the dolphin pods hopping on the waves. Different times , youd probably pay a fortune to live there now.
Love all those places, great choices as I’m from amazing Donegal! Great video! Loved Muckross Head beside Slieve League and the Secret Waterfall near Killybegs. Loved climbing Muckish too, up the Miner’s track.
Im from Ballybofey county Donegal and i haven't visited most of these places, its true when they say you dont appreciate the beauty on your own doorstep until you move away from it!

It’s beautiful there. If you’re interested in more places in Donegal keep an eye on this channel. Hoping to produce a new (much better) video about the county 💚
Apart from Murder Hole beach we've been to all those places. At Fanad Lighthouse a couple were having a bit of rumpy pumpy, probably thought they wouldn't be disturbed! We'd seen them at it earlier at Portsalon, think they were doing a tour, lol. On the drive up to Slieve League Mrs had her head between her knees, I'm not allowed back. Doagh famine village is worth a visit, it's just like my granny's house. My favourite places, Carrickfinn and Crohy Head. Great filmimg, just got to love Donegal.
No better place than the scenic sights of Donegal for a bit of “rumpy bumpy” I suppose 😂 Thanks for sharing - will try to get to Carrickfinn & Crohy Head in the summer ☀️
Wherever you land in Donegal you’ll find beautiful views and empty beaches. The weather is always a gamble, though, so you’ll have to bear that in mind.
You need to do a video on the beaches of Donegal as they are quite stunning and generally deserted. 5 fingers beach for sunset, in nice weather, is amazing.
I’m a Donegal man myself and I’ve been to most places on your list apart from slieve league and murder hole beach so I’ll have to give those places a visit, great video 👍
good to see some not so regular places. good job. I am currently working on Donegal and I plan to see most of it if i can including some of the islands. its going to take time but at least I know that i will see more of Donegal than most people.

Wow, great video! Are they strict with drones in Ireland? I can't wait to give my drone some exercise! I live in Atlanta and we're in Donegal for 2 days. I only wish we had more time there. Thanks for the suggestions!
Thank you 💚 Ireland is not strict with drones at all. We love flying it here as there is so much spectacular scenery especially at the coasts 😍 Enjoy!!!
Thank you! I’m not actually sure how you would access a lot of these places without a car to be honest … Maybe some sort of tour company? And I’d aim for the summer rather than November… The weather can be quite depressing in November in Donegal 🤣
Thank you for your great video, which stands out above all for the outstanding drone shots of the impressive landscapes. Unfortunately, we missed some of it in April. However, we were on our 10-day tour of Ireland in a group and saw things in the Donegal area that you wouldn't easily see as a solo traveler, such as training with border collies. In addition to the tour in Donegal Bay, I particularly enjoyed the evening in a music pub because I love Irish folklore (e.g. the songs of the Dubliners) very much. That's why I used some of it in my first video.
