I think one good tip would be to learn to eat slower, chew slower & wait for your food to cool down. It's a good way to change your relationship to food. Something I'm trying to learn. It will help you to feel when you're full to keep you from over eating & to really enjoy your food. I know Japanese people do this
I think it is also important to note that those taking it and have insulin resistance, pre-diabetic, or diabetic will also have different results than those that do not have those existing conditions. So many people are losing weight quickly but it might not be the same for those with existing conditions and a pound or so a week might be normal and ok. Not everyone will lose 20 pounds the first month and should not feel bad or shouldn’t think it is not working.
Of course!! That’s why I made sure to mention that people shouldn’t compare their journeys to anyone else’s since all of our bodies are completely different 🤍
I so appreciate this comment. I have pcos and diabetes and started semiglutide and the weight loss is super slow. And I’ve seen so many videos of the fast weight loss. Helpful to be reminded that because of my conditions it will take longer and that’s healthy and okay.
For me, Zepbound made my GERD *awful* for a little bit so I kept Tums near my bed cause I would get so nauseous laying down. Im on zepbound and just flew with it, it can be out of the fridge for like 20 days so it not being kept cold wasn't a big deal and I just kept it in my backpack. TSA didn't even ask to see it, I let them know that I had it in my bag and they just told me to leave it in my bag and it ended up being totally fine with no complications. GLP-1s are considered part of the PCOS treatment plan now and as someone with PCOS I am definitely thriving on my GLP-1.
Thank you so much for this video. I just received my script and I am nervous to start. This video has been very helpful and helps me understand some of the side effects and how to adapt. This has been very helpful.
I am on week one.I saw a doctor here on TouTube who recommended staying away from dairy, pulses, and cruciferous veggies. I took it with a grain of salt since I have never had any food sensitivities, and had lentils, broccoli, and cheese /yogurt this week -the worst size effect this week has been gas pains. Words of advice for some others.
I just started 0.1 a week ago and the first day I was super dizzy and tired. But I have so much more energy now. My calorie deficit is definitely in play and I’m going to the gym almost every day. I only lost a pound. However, my hunger cues are… Like I can’t even explain it. I’m more mindful of it. I am hungry and I eat and I don’t feel guilty eating. Especially because of my calorie deficit and hunger. I feel like I have more awareness and mindfulness towards food and my hunger cues. I think my hunger cues were really messed up before. It’s funny because I’m eating more than I thought I would, but my body is really re-comping. I will say this morning I had a bagel with three pieces of salami and a piece of cheese. That was a lot of calories. Around 400 and that’s just too much. Even though you’re hungry, I personally feel full after I eat. Like 15 to 20 minutes after I eat and then I’m like “oh, shit.” I do not have diabetes and I am doing this for weight loss. I do not have a desire to do any sort of liquid fasting, but I can see why people would resort to that. You definitely don’t want to eat a big sitting of calories. You want to spread them out. Your stomach just hurt hurts afterwards. I definitely thought it was gonna be much worse, but I’m feeling great. I’m feeling so much positivity. I have a lot of sleeping issues and this almost worked immediately for me to just get up and start the day. And maybe it’s just the combination of these new lifestyles, but It’s really setting the pace to wanting to keep going. I’m 31 years old. I’m 5 foot five and I’m 193 pounds that’s a lot for my size. I used to be extremely active and gained a fuck ton of weight at 24 years old after an abusive relationship. I have not been able to successfully to get it off. I do have estrogen dominance. I need to take a lab a few years ago. I’ll be starting 100 µg of d the supplement dim with L-thiamine & to reduce any sort of cortisol hormone related water weight. I have kids so there is a lot of different factors to play for me personally. But I like to put this out there for anybody that may be in my position.
Hmm….TBH the medicine kind of does do most of the work for me. That food noise being gone does wonders. I eat when I’m hungry and stop eating when I’m full. Seems so simple, but before the medicine I had SUCH a hard time putting the fork down. Hungry or not.
"Food Noise" is definitely a good description of what I experienced before I got on semiglutides! I'm not thinking about food and can eat small portions and not feel like I can keep going or should finish my food.
Everything you said was so spot on. I just started and I was bummed when on the 3rd/4th day I started feeling hungry again. But I love the way you look at it! It’s good to train myself during those times with how to deal with it when I feel hungry in the future
Definitely!! It took a couple of weeks before I wasn’t feeling hungrier after the first few days after the shot so hopefully it gets better for you! But yes definitely use it as practice for yourself and try to hold yourself accountable to the routine you’ve been sticking to!
You know you can do a maintenance shot instead of going off it right? Because when you go off the food noise will rush back in etc. Some people can take a shot every other week, every 3 week or once a month ;) By the way you look fabulous and I love watching your videos! Your enthusiasm is contagious!
Thank you!! I’ve thought about a maintenance dose but I just don’t want to have to keep paying for it. I’m hoping if we do a slow wean off, it’ll help with the food noise. I’ll definitely share that journey when the time comes!
I am considering going on a GLP1 because I track my macros and work out 4 to 5 times a week and cannot get past a certain weight!! it could be that I’m in menopause, but I honestly don’t know what I am doing wrong so I’m hoping that going on the GLP1 will help!!
My Doctor at a menopause clinic told me that my menopause and hormone imbalance has my insulin not working properly. This is why with walking and fasting I haven't really moved my weight. Yet after 1 week one on GLP1 and fasting (mostly one meal a day), I've lost 3.5 kilos.
I love GLP-1 I was exactly like you. It’s been wonders for me. To be honest, I have not had any side effects. Make sure you keep up with your protein and weight lift. But definitely get your hormones checked out.
Me too! I hate getting sick only because of the coughing, cause of the fear of vomiting. Ill burst blood vessels from the strain and panic. I'm starting next week and I'm researching like crazy to try to prevent it. So much good luck, I hope it goes well for you.
@@jolenemarie5708 I would try a combination of the tips! I would definitely try and get a lot of protein and water in the day of. Let it sit out for 30 minutes before injecting it and maybe try a thigh or arm as the injection site first. Try doing it at night so you’re asleep and not stressing about it and making yourself anxious thinking about it! Keep us updated on how it goes!!
Hi! I have the same phobia and have been on the injections a few months ❤ The anxiety the first time really was awful, but I just bought extra Dramamine and had simple proteins + carbs before the shot and was perfectly fine Also the feeling of being really hungry to the point of nausea also made me anxious bc you can’t tell the difference so easily anymore so I’d recommend having crackers and water on deck at all times. Heavier/greasy foods and sugar don’t always sit right, especially after a fresh injection, but otherwise you should be totally fine!!
I am nervous because I will be takingZenpdounb and I wanted to see how it is well I know that’s not the one you’re taking, but I’m just nervous about the journey so that’s why I was searching it up
I took my first shot last Saturday… no side effect however I feel no change in appetite either…I hope the second shot will kick in and decrease my appetite.

Hi! Thanks for subscribing!! That’s really good information to share!! I have the compounded semaglutide vial so I have to keep mine cold but that’s good to know about the pens
I wish I could get on zepbound. Been On semaglutide and up to 1mg dose and feel the fullness effects but my weight is not moving. I am active as an ups driver and have have cut down my calories but a little confused. I’ll have to wait to see if any results as dose goes up. 1.7 and 2.4 in two months.
@@lisaillingworth-b9h it was good. Started at .25 for 4 weeks today I started .5 and I have a really bad headache hopefully that’s all I’ll get. I injected my thigh
