I'm wearing my '37 Chev shirt for the first time today!
This was cool - glad to see the Frazier out and about with Ms. Francine in the back. And I think I've said it before: Hunnybunny is a keeper; you don't find many women with the gumption to wander fields with their guy in search of old cars. I liked those trucks in the mid-70s, and hoped my dad would buy a Scout...but he bought a '76 Chevy Blazer instead. Do you think the owner could be persuaded to part with one of the IH grill ornaments for a fan? See you Saturday!
A Nash in the field is better than two in the bush!😉
Dean is the friend you go to when you need someone to support you in your bad decisions. 😝
Scott, I recently sat next to an 87 year old man at a dinner party: He shared an automotive ditty that was new to me that ties in with two of your cars
Buy your wife a Frasier and amaze her,
Buy your wife a Kaiser and surprise her,
Buy your wife a Tucker and xxxx her
This guy ran music clubs in Manhattan in the 50s and 60s and the drug scene there prompted his move to SF Ca. He's the only guy I ever met knew Billie Holliday.
A solid KEEPER and not so damned politically Keerect- thanks
9:52 Thank goodness you went back for the Frazer. I thought it was going to crawl off in the woods and find its home.
😂😂😂😂
''Nothing will stop the relentless pursuit of worthless junk.'' Someone put my life's mission to words.
Glad to see that the Fraser is out for an adventure!
When I was a kid, my dad would take the family on trips up 471 in rural central Florida. At an intersection near Tarrytown, there was a Nash just like this one sitting upside-down under some trees. It sat that way for so long it became a landmark to look for during the trips. Many years later, I took my girlfriend on a road trip up that way and to my surprise it was STILL there. Seeing this Nash-though in a different orientation-brought back a lot memories from those trips. Thank you for sharing this trip. It is a testament to the beauty of those old Nashes when they can be art, even in abandonment.
Stella liked riding in the Frazer. I'm partial to '56 cars because I was born that year!:)
Francine, Stella has gone to the big dog house in the sky.
@@danielulz1640 Notice I said, "liked." I know Stella is no longer with us.
@@8avexpah, yes. I think that may be one of the reasons Scott is so keen on the Frazier.
Love looking at old diamonds in the rust !
The crows added their own ominous music.
Used to be farmers never threw anything away or scrapped anything. One farmer I knew back in the 1970's still had every car and truck he ever bought. When one wore out it just got pushed to the side and they went and bought a new one. The old guy was in his eighties in 1972 and had cars going back to the twenties. They had a couple of Model A front ends complete with cowls they would tow around and hook up to grain augers and stuff they still used.
Cool walk-around!
Kinda think that Nash is a bit beyond a 'Level One Tidy', though...
Yeah, I'm "not feeling" that one. He has a space problem now. If he can't take just the doors, seems like a lot of time and effort to bring another scrap car "into the fold" that will delay his working on his other projects, but won't bring his own current Nash any closer to roadworthy🤔
Ahh, that wil polish out ....
Looked like a great way to spend an afternoon! Thanks for takin us along
You told us that you were going car shopping on Tuesday. I could not wait, but I did not have Nash Canadian Statesman on my Bingo card. 🤩🍺
I really enjoyed that! When I was younger (Geez, I'm old)I loved walking, poking, around junkyards. The cars were always amazing, even if a little sad. I hope you and Dean get the Statesman. Thanks again! Cheers.
Few things more rewarding than driving your former lot car to look at lot cars that might be your next former! A day well spent, Scott, with your two best girls.
Nice tour, thanks for taking us with you. That Nash must’ve looked sweet back in the day.
Old cars in the treeline? Check.
Everything that can be shattered broken?
Check.
Large caliber bullet holes everywhere?
Check.
Fuck yeah, I'm in. I love doing the same, imagining everything those old machines were, saw, heard and did.
That Nash, it was a beauty at one time someone was so proud of earning enough to buy.
What a cool trip for y'all, cheers and all the best!
Of the tri-five chevs, the '55 and '57 get all of the praise and hoopla, but I've always kind of dug the '56. You don't see as many of them, and they looked great too.
I'm a huge fan of the independent brands. Anytime an episode focuses on one, or something French I'm stoked
Scott, that IH crew cab had the identical grill and front end as my 67 Travel-all! I paid $650 for it in 1971, drove it for 11 years while crossing the USA and Canada several times, living in it, using it as a construction vehicle and off-road explorer until I sold it for $200 to a guy who replaced the carb and drove it for several more years! Good luck cutting the Nash out of the woods! Cheers!
I love how the old cars are capable of driving through fields. Try that with a new sedan.
Western Canada is the classic car & cab final frontier for farm field finds.
Yes Scott the Nash would be a parts car for you. Thanks for sharing. 💯👊👍💕
Currently working on putting a '54 Nash Rambler 4 door back on the road, and it would fill my heart with joy to see that Canadian Statesman get pulled out of the woods, even if only to strip off a handful of good usable parts. I love that era of Nash and they're not exactly common, so I'm glad to see any bits that can be saved, get saved.
Ah that was fab, seeing you two driving through those lovely canadian country and the freshly cut field.
Took my mind back to the late 70's, i was 14 and we were out in the Peugeot. My mother had staid home to drink gin and take several WTF tablets. My two younger cousins, me and my old Dad. Off to the scrapyard.
On the way home we were overtaking a Ford Capri. The Capri sped up as we were overtaking, Dad exclaiming expletives, cousins shouting 'GO ON UNCLE RON!!!PASS HIM! Me, only 14, shouted 'put your foot down Dad, this will do well over 100mph! 😮😮😮😮😊😊. As it came out i knew id put myself right in it. .
The remainder of the journey was joyous raptures from the cousin clad back seat and silence from the front seats.
My father, who'd won many awards for 'Sharper than a tennis ball' local competitions had realised the implications of what his 14 y/o had blurted out.
Yes, my secret was out. A clip around the back of the head later and we were back on talking terms. I miss my old Dad, he was the best.😊
When I was little, we passed a recent accident scene where a priest had been sent to his reward by his Chevy's steering column that was driven 6 inches upward, the rim pushed downward by the poor fellow like a half-closed umbrella. Those big Nashes had battering ram columns, right out of the factory. I've always been torn over their skirted bodies; not having preceded me into this world, they aren't as magical as they might be, but the sheer width and interior space the design afforded certainly amazes. And the cool chrome bits really glow against the old girl's mossy blanket, eh?. Thanks to Alberta's First Family of Junkhunters, we get to go along.
Thanks for taking us on a "field" trip! See you Saturday.
it's been a long time since I have seen a "Field Nash." that one is a keeper!
Thanks for taking us for a ride along on a scavenger hunt. Those are always fun. Great to see the Frazer running around. I love the dash on that car and the car as well. Throw some polish on the old girl to bring out the luster on the fine paint job. Great outing. Cheers!
So good to see Honey Bunny helping out on your travels, she's always welcome. It's sad to think how much these old work horse's contributed to our Countrys, Canada, and the U.S. they deserve to be saved if they can. As always, it's been a pleasure to come along on your travels.
Hope you save the NASH . Love ❤️ the dash on the Fraser . 👍🏻.
I'm right now attempting to put a 1937 international d35 fire truck back together. What a treat to see one in worse shape than mine.. lol
Your. Nash. Find. Nine. Years. Ago. My. Favorite
Always cool to see stuff like this. I remember going thru the back fields of my grandparents farm exploring old cars. Cheers!
Nice Tour...And Miss Frankers looking very Cool on Her throne, such a good Girl! Cheers, Thanks.
It was very nice of the owner to allow a tour of his collection. Some nice bits on the Nash. Those front fenders kill me! Like a kid in a candy store. Thanks for taking us along. Cheers
It's always interesting to see field finds like these. Thanks Scott
Ya know... a guy could fix that up... Cheers and the best from here.
I love doing that shit. Looking at cars that have had constantly bad Christmas days. The trucks were cool too.
This is the only thing on RUclips that makes sense! Honest pure and unadulterated. As an American can’t wait until November is over.
Try Waylon Wire ,a true American fixer and Uncle Tonys Garage,REGULAR GUYS
@@dddevildogg not political at all. I am having personal issue that should resolve end of November.
Thank you for sharing WOW that was nice walking through to see all those different vehicles THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
Love. This. Year Nash. Dash. Door handles. Windshield. Front. And. Back. Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤
Always fun to go car hunting. 👍
Fall is on its way.
You have come just in time. Been one of those weeks, that was a wonderful reprieve from it all. Cheers!
Thanks you sharing.
I can't help but feel the Nash will make it home for parts. 😁😁😁
Another great Thursday surprise. Love looking at old junk. Cheers. See you on Saturday.
Such a nice relaxing outing, should've set out a picnic! Maybe a bit damp though. That Nash with its inset wheels and no cutouts looks like a hovercar. Thanks for the outing!
4:20 As in Pinin Farina Carrozzeria. This is one Classy Gal!
Time stamp dedicated to all the fine agents affiliated with CWM.
Great tour! When I was kid we had two-tone turquoise and white ‘56 Chevy four door six banger like that one. Thanks for the memories!
Nice parts find. We were at a show on Tuesday, low and behold a ‘51 Kaiser butter nut and green. Looked like it just rolled off the line. Keep up the great saves, it’s terrific 😊
What a fantastic walk through, kind of sad seeing all of that old iron just sitting , neat to see that someone appreciated it enough to save it! thanks for the video and see you on Saturday!
I hope you & Dean can drag that Nash home without too many surprises, or at least remove the doors and trim and bring the usable parts home. So this year's crop from that field will also include 1 Nash.
It takes real skill and vision to be able to spot true potential in vehicles that have been retired since before you were born - especially at our age! Looking forward to a good look at the raw material you've brought home, and seeing Dean too!
That horn ring on the Nash looks quite serviceable.
That rusty Nash carcass has youtube gold written all over it!
Ps. When are we going to see more French cars on the channel?
Happy Birthday Frankers
Thanks for driving the Frazier
Always enjoy exploring for old cars thanks for sharing this with everyone Scott like to see you do another video like this one cheers looking forward to Saturday.👍❤️🙂
Perfect timing
Wicked International Crew cab ! I Love that !
You're Fraser seems right at home in the newly cut wheatfields. Nice little video!
Love the frost shields in the BelAir! Nice day for a field trip
Nice walk. I too enjoy walking through old long term storage facilities. Gems in the rough.
It's got wheels and handles. I'll take it!
The grill and front bumper sure look nice too.
In 1965 we hiked up the creek to a 50 acre yard and there were 20 NASHES in a row outside the fence all driven in with keys but no batteries, dealer closed, junked them,I was 13!
That 56 chevy has alot of good parts on it !
No doubt. Trees win. Mother Nature takes back her land.
I'd pull the doors off the Nash Before you moved it. Loads of trim for your other car too.
It is always a treat to go exploring with the Staff and Management of Same Old Shit Studios. Thanks again Scott and Best Wishes to everyone at Cold War Motors, their Families and Friends.....
#FurySuburban.
Love the 67 or 68 International "Travelette", as they were called. (as opposed to the "Travelall". The Suburban type wagon. Cheers to all! Todd the retired trucker.
Very cool! That Nash has been waiting a long time for a loving home 👍
Hey Scott the ‘37 Chev T shirt arrived in Vermont a couple days ago. It looks great as usual! I think the Frazer was getting a little nervous out there in the field by the Nash!
Fraser one of my favorite ones love white steering wheel. ❤ The videos 👀
God I love that International D-30 Ive always wanted one they are such beautiful trucks IH had the best styling in the 30s
Those 1930s IH trucks were beautiful, but personally I think that the REO trucks from this era had even better lines.
Best channel ever
Scott, love the backwoods finds. Save the Nash. Those are great.
Cheers from Wisconsin
Got to drag that Nash home. That car with the other one, and a couple of weekends with you and the agents, you got a new daily.
Some interesting relics of days gone by. Allot of good parts for those in need all over. Look at the #'s watched already.Over 1200 in 27 Minutes. Yay.
Always fun Scott. Lots of "good bits" on that car. Yay for another save. Somebody can make a two door out of that Chevy.
Thanks for taking us along! Rich
The greasy flipper will help slide that Nash right outta there.
The sight of the Frazer in the field is so heart warming, Scott. The way it is just right. That 30s Internatioal was what used for the front of my 245 Volvo. And the inside fenders became outside fender skirts after we grafted the rear of a 61 Ambassador to the rear of the same 79 Volvo wagon. A most satisfyingly styled tide.
Good parts car, still need to find an engine, ill bet that ones locked solid. Dig it out and take it home. Bathtub Nash is really cool. Stay dirty 👍
Doors, trim and hardware parts are for the taking...so why not? I love the Frazier and it would great to see even a "Farmer Bob" paint job on it.
I bet that farm was rocking with peak activity in 1960 to 1965....wish we could go back and see the running farm back then...the 1938/39 truck was probably still active hauling cattle feed in 1960.
Yep, I love that kind of stuff too Scott, I'm with you buddy!
Love these , junkyard/farm crawls
For lost junkers
Look at all of the finds
That Nash has a lot of donar parts
The chrome trim , the bumpers ,
The doors , etc
He drove that 56 bel air there
Back in the 70s ??!!
We love checking out old junk in the woods, too. Thanks for bringing us along on the tour.
Good stuff, Scott!
In order of appearance:
67/68 IH
56/57 (S series)
54/55 (R series with valuable grille ornament)
50-52 (L series)
37 (? series, but before K/KB)
65/66 Travelette(crewcab, C series)
I'd guess was a fire truck, red wasn't common on those. However, it's probably the most desirable of the group, as in SERIOUSLY, drag it out & sell it!!
Farmer could make some money selling gauges, trim, doors, etc. Ashtray handles highly sought after!!!
Kudos to HB for braving the bush!
Cheers all
Those are my favorite body styles of Nashes! I have one on the dream car list. Hopefully you can make two out of one.
Love the field find videos..thanks
What a great tour. I could wander around in old iron like that every day. Got my own R and S 160 trucks in working condition too. Those S series headlight rings are much sought after by restorers. Hard to find good ones. Yes, I'd give that Nash a good home too.
Sweet collection those international's are cool especially the 39, and the crew cab. I'd like to see how that Nash comes out of its resting spot, great parts for your other car!
It's Thursday!
Our weekly 'Driving Miss Frankers' episode. lol
Thanks for sharing. Canadian Nash, who would have thought there was such a thing?
I like watching old factory footage of the 55 chev when they were testing them.
It would be cool if you took all those international trucks and could build one good one from them. Great to see the old Frasier back on the road.
The mindset to park cars in some remote brush just out of sight and never even think about those anymore for decades does astonish me each time I witness it ....
Thanks mates.
