Your videos are among the best start to finish workflow demonstrations that I've seen. A 'what's in my bag' video would be interesting - even the pack itself seems to perfectly accommodate your camera. Finally, how do you get on with the 4x5 Jobo film reel as I'm struggling with mine?
Hi Russel, thank you very much for all the nice words. Right now, I am working on a 35mm Leica video, but I'd like to publish at least 10 more videos this year (I like your "what is in my bag" idea). I would recommend you to practice with an already developed sheet of film, it is kinda tricky to get the film loaded.
Nice video, and the fact that you did not voice over it does some touch to it. But one thing to me does not sums up - you are using the Weston light meter. Why not to use spot meter?
Hi Rudolf, thank you very much! I use the Gossen Lunasix 3S light meter with a Tele attachment, which I really enjoy to use. This combination gives me nice readings all the time. I do have a one degree spot meter, but it has not been calibrated yet.
Hi, what's the music at the end of the video, when "final prints" are revealed? Btw, i respect what you've done here, I'm slowly thinking of starting to do LF as well :)
Hi, thank you for your comment. The music is from the RUclips Music Library and it's called The Empty Moons of Jupiter by DivKid. Do not think about it, just get one and begin your journey!
46 ml HC110 to 1 liter water, 1:22? Fairly strong dilution. Did you use the entire liter in the tank? Also, did you hand roll the tank or intermittent agitation? Enjoyed the video, your images turned out nice.
Thank you Steve! My Jobo tank needs 1400ml of chemistry (in this case 45ml HC-110 - dil. B) if I do not develop 4x5 sheets in the rotary processor. Continuous agitation and inverting the tank every 30 sec. Maybe I will make a video about my technique in the near future!
@@zoltannagel Don't do continious agitation, do that the first minute only, then at the end of every minute, invert the tank 4 times. Use a developer designed for high quality modern films, FX39 (now made by Adox) is a compensating developer, gives absolutely sharpness above other developers. Get a far longer cable release, so that you can trip the shutter from behind the camera or stand further from when using wide angle lenses.
Well, I am an amateur photographer, who loves analog photography - not a professional by any means. There are countless nice places in Germany, but I do not agree with your "better for better" point of view.
The magic of 4X5. Beautiful.

@@zoltannagel ... perhaps include a (5x4) gear review while on location - rather than a separate video. Atb 👍 (UK).

Thank you! Stay tuned...
Отличная работа!!!
Thank you!
Hi what kind of light meter do you use......Ken
Hi Ken, I'm using a Gossen Lunasix 3S light meter.
Nice
Thank you!
非常棒,very nice
Thank you!
May I ask what camera, lenses and film that is?
Inspiring!
Thinking of getting an intrepid, but just now learning.
Thank you Ricky! This is an Arca Swiss F-Line 4x5 camera with a Nikkor-W 180mm f/5.6 lens. The film stock I used is Foma Retropan 320.

@@waveril5167 Die analoge Fotografie ist zwar nicht billig, man muss allerdings nur ein Mal eine Kamera kaufen. 😏

Boring.
Hi Manuel, well the video is maybe longer than it could have been, but I wanted to bring the slowness of large format photography into relief.
A lot of expensive equipment for poor quality photographs. There are many better locations in Germany for better quality photos.
