    Late to this video but found it a deciding factor to purchase (Show room demos) UHX irons. Like the design approach using the hollow body to cavity back irons. I have golfed these irons recently and they play better vs any high priced irons I've ever owned and I've owned Ping, Taylormade and Callaway. The UHX 5 and 6 irons are smoke! Great compliments to the UHX scoring irons.

    Picked up a used set of these from the pro shop to demo on my last 9 in December, for fun. Couldn't believe how well they felt. And they performed beautifully. Bought them when I finished the round and now using them indoors, very happily. Love the v-shaped sole. Looking forward to next season.

    I went into my local retail store looking for the HB Launcher. After watching my swing the pro said take this UHX 7 iron to the range. I came back and bought the set P-4 iron. LOVE them! Now my golf buddies are all getting them. I paid US$600 for them here in Australia fitted. They have gone up in price already. I put my 7 wood hybrid away. Good video gentlemen.

    These are the best irons I have ever played. They are also the easiest. When I bought these I was playing off an 8 handicap I am now off 5. The only thing that has changed is I consistently hit more greens in regulation.

    Great discussion guys. I have played the Cleveland HB Launcher irons prior and my biggest issue was the look of the clubs. They just looked like I was hitting all hybrids and were too fat. These look more like you get the technology and still have the more common iron look.

    I just picked up a set of these (yesterday). At the range I was comparing these to the HB Turbo's and with my Ping Eye 2's that I've been playing forever. Honestly, going in I expected to like the HB Turbo's the best. I love hitting my current hybrids...especially my #4. To my surprise I hit the UHX's the best. The ball just jumps off the face. Can't wait to get in some rounds with them.

    Great vid, guys. Really informative! I am currently playing Wilson D7 irons, with the d7 #4 and #5 hybrids at the top. I recently switched to cbx2 wedges, and absolutely love those. Would it make sense for me to graduate to the uhx'es? My hcp is 22, but coming down, and only been playing for a year.

    I traded in my Cleveland 588TT irons for a set of these and I've seen improvements in both distance and consistency over the last 4 weeks of use.

    They look very similar to my Cleveland 588MT's. Has technology on hollow body irons changed much between those and the UHX?

      Very much so. Quite different irons.

      Having owned both the UHX is light and day the better set!!! Never got on with the hollowed body short irons in the 588MT. This set is more like having a blended set of 588 MT and 588 TT but without the big diffence is size profile. I love them!!!

    • @Seko87
      @Seko87 4 года назад +2

      I would agree. I was skeptical to trade in my 588TT set for these at first. After 4 weeks (8 rounds), I've seen improvements.

    Hi guys how do these compare offset wise compared to the wilson d9? I bagged the hb turbo driver, 3 wood and hybrid last year and really want to bag these. I play off 9 by the way any thoughts

    • @THPGOLF
      @THPGOLF  3 года назад

      A little less than the d9. Also a bit sleeker overall, without getting too small

    UHX are great!! I had a set and wish i had kept them, lack of experience was the reason I got away from them. I want another set again when I can sell my current set. I did notice that I hit the UHX low on the face when i had a tight lie and wondered if it was the v sole? I also noticed that Mark Crossfeild, his side kick and Rick sheils who are good ball strikers and have youtube channels also struck low on the face when reviewing these irons. Can the v sole be an issue at times or just a coincidence? I am a high handicapper so its a genuine question. Thx

    • @THPGOLF
      @THPGOLF  3 года назад +1

      No the v sole shouldn’t have much impact on that. Both leading and trailing edge can promote clean contact though

      Wasn't that off mats? Big difference in turf and mat results plus hitting into a screen doesn't show the truth.

    I recently purchased the UHX and they have really made a difference (positively) compared to my 20 year old Tommy Armour irons. Here is my review (with no statistics, just observations): ruclips.net/video/TGDxFWm5ExU/видео.html
