I installed my new T1SW2024#01 from Costco today. Installation was good and guided, but the initial light off never told me how to set it up for my wife, or myself. It's not obvious how to do it and all I can find on youtube is you'll love it. Well, not if I cant program it to turn on correctly. It seems all I accomplishing is flipping the remote to see if I am missing somethiing there. Help.
you should try the toto website for a pdf manual. Look for your model number, your model isn't the one shown here, but a simpler one. The one here is Toto's top of the line, like the 350e and the current equivalents. In my experience the included manual was very thorough. Check their website.
There's only one wand. It retracts and extends for positioning, and dispense water for all the bidet functions (the water dispensed for the bowl cleaning functions come from elsewhere. This model also flushes the wand before and after use with electrolyzed water for cleaning.) For the main bidet functions, the wand can pulse and/or vibrate, and has several adjustable positions, both for the rear and for the frontal (female) wash. You can use the remote to adjust to your preference, or you can set up an individual profile with saved personal preferences for positioning, and temperature of seat, water and for the drying function. You can also control other functions and preferences from the remote, such as self cleaning preferences or automatic air deodorizer function, for example, that if turned on will activate when you sit down. I think that's everything I can remember. And no, I don't work for Toto, I've just owned this model shown on the video for about a year and a half, and only have had reasons to praise it! Happy customer. I'd wanted one of these for over a decade, since I first saw them while travelling in Japan. I'm very happy with the brand and the model I got (the one shown in the video here, the S350e.)
I have a problem. The button of open and close seat on the remote works but can’t transmit the dry, front and rear sprays. Pls help. I already unplugged it, changed the batteries, still not working
If your house is anything like mine, the master toilet room didn't have an accessible electrical outlet. I ended up stringing up a long, flat extension cord from my bedroom outlet with Command adhesive clips. Sure, it looks janky, but I asked several electricians if an outlet could be installed there and they said it was not possible because it was next to an exterior wall.
Pretty simple....most toilet rooms have a light switch so you don't sit in the dark while taking a dump. I got a GFI receptacle and 3 ft of Romex wire and opened up the light switch and had access to the power there. The switch is likely between two studs (16" apart?) and most likely no insulation in that section of wall/interior. Picked a spot down low and cut a rectangle out and installed the receptacle box and GFI. DONE...Took about 20 minutes.
We just bought one, you "have to" shop around a lot. The price from the first vendor was around 2,500.00. I had to pick my self off the floor on that one. As we dug a little deeper we found the above unit for 1,500.00. The met the dealer at a parking lot and he put it into the car for us so "no" delievery charge. A cost savings. Once at the house the toilet was packed really nice with all the necessary items. Installation was rather easy I did have to go to Home Depot for items which was the water feed from the house to the toilet. A power out let has to be in the area of the toilet. I had to install a 15 amp circuit. I used # 12 wire and a 15 amp GFI to the panel of the house. This circuit became dedicated to the toilet. My reasoning for this is that most bathrooms don't have enough circuits to begin with and the heater of the seat I wanted to be sure that there was enough amps to service the unit. I did the math and found the unit draws under 15 amps. One could use a smaller wire gauge but for the cost difference and since I had just bought a toilet for 1,500.00 dollar its no time to cheap. The other hitch was that the water feed to the toilet has to be a distance of 2' from the center of the toilet (verify this number please I think I'm correct) So I had to move mine. I bought a diamond cutter to cut the floor tiles to move the house water out let over 2 inches. There was enough play down stairs in the pipe to do so, no plumber was called. A metal pipe cover hide the work and looked good. With the ground work performed the ToTo toilet was installed, Its was easy, follow the instructions the seat install was super easy and the piping under the unit came with the toilet. If your a home handy man you should have all the tools if not, now is the time for the battery operated hammer unit you always wanted. I am an Electrician by trade so I might have an edge on some people. Well, was it worth it. "Oh yea'. No more toilet paper and you can't use toilet paper with this unit. There is a learning curve on how to clean your behind with this unit, Because one can't see where it's soiled. So sit a bit longer move you butt around and play with the remote the nozzle has a wide setting and narrow one for guys the narrow setting works well. Women find it refreshing we had a female house guest who used our ToTo set up and went out and bought one. I have found that if one has hemorrhiods this toilet helps a lot and relief is better. Read the instructions. As far as cleaning the ToTo it pretty much takes care of it's self the deodorizer has to be replaced every month it has a pleasing smell and is enough to cut though smells We attend to the ToTo about once a month to wipe it down other that it's self contained. Would I buy it again YEP. The ToTo service people were great we had a rep who explained those difficult questions we came up with.
The motion sensor is roughly 17" high, so open/close sensor only activates if your pet is taller than 17" or walks over the top of it. However, once the pet leaves the area, the seat will go back down. You can also turn off the auto open/close with the remote control. www.consumersplumbing.com/toto-washlets/
Everything that's new can be scary. This thing feels like living in the future. You'll never look back. Nothing about it is dangerous or harmful in any way. This is the top of the line one, there are simpler models that may not be as "scary" for you! :- )
Mine is not working at all, and your customer service hours are terrible. Remote doesnt connect and there is no information anywhere to fix it. Not acceptable for an extremely expensive toilet.
Have a Toto washlet for years! Best invention ever.
We first got a Toto Washlet in about 1998. It's amazing how much it has evolved. We love our newer Toto washlet!
am I the only one who searched this up because I couldn't figure out how to fucking make this toilet work in a hotel?
Same
Same!!
I’m using one while watching this
That's what they call learning on the job :)
*spritz spritz
Me too. I didn’t realize there was a control on the back. It’s now so … warm.

IS there a way to adjust the wands?

Can you make one that the lid and the seat go up if you're a guy? My son often forgets to lift up the seat which is not good!
Got to sit down. The only way.
Can the seat be lifted cause I don’t do seats
Hover?
I pity the poor bastard who has to clean up after you.
Love mine but I wish the bowl light would stay on at night.
I have a problem. The button of open and close seat on the remote works but can’t transmit the dry, front and rear sprays. Pls help. I already unplugged it, changed the batteries, still not working
Mmmm, never had that issue. Seems like a silly think to say, but try Toto customer support. I've never needed them, but I hear they're pretty good.
There's no mention of the user 1 and 2 buttons on the bottom from of the remote. I can't figure out how to program it. Does anyone know?
Does it flush just like the USA ones??
This is only for the lid
So do I, I want one

How does it get power?
It connects to an outlet

How much is this?
Jaime T Rubio III depends on the model, they’re all pretty expensive tbh

Hi, appreciate your effort of this long review. Do you know where this unit is made? thanks
D W Yes it is made in the usa
Greg Sandy Thanks
What if you have cats or dogs? Would the motion sensor activate with them?
The motion sensor is roughly 17" high, so open/close sensor only activates if your pet is taller than 17" or walks over the top of it. However, once the pet leaves the area, the seat will go back down. You can also turn off the auto open/close with the remote control. www.consumersplumbing.com/toto-washlets/
The lid closes automatically within 90 seconds for hygienic purpose...
What to do when controller gets wet and stops working?
This thing, it scares me

Why is it called TOTO btw
It's a Japanese company originally called Tōyō Tōki which meanse " 東洋陶器 = Oriental Ceramics " . TOyo TOki which became TOTO Ltd.
