Well they sang this for the 125th Mendelssohn Choir Gala concert at the same venue. This is four years earlier under Noel Edison. Without a doubt this is the more dynamic performance when the TMC had some of their very best singers. The 2019 version lacks the powerful men's voices and seems washed out plus the articulation is simply not there. Noel had a way to bring out the very best with the choir.

I unfortunately must agree : the pronounciation is absolutely shitty and the Intonation is a little big too low.
