    Given that Worrel was dead by the time they realized he and Miller were the murderers, we only have Miller's word that he himself was just a bystander rather than directly involved. We know that accomplices will play down their roles in crimes as much as possible so it is not reasonable to believe that Miller was just a bystander and involved in the cleanup only. He deserved life in prison.

  • @CitizenSmith50
    @CitizenSmith50 Год назад +18

    I particularly remember the Truro murders as I was surveying for the Government in the area of Swamp road at the time. It's a shame that Worrel wasn't brought to justice and suffered liked his victims, and Miller who was just as culpable didn't get to serve his complete sentence. I hope Lena's family eventually get justice for her slaying, but I suspect after all this time has elapsed, the likelihood of the perpetrator being caught is very slim.

    How convenient for Miller that his partner was dead and couldn’t contradict his story about how all Miller did was help bury the bodies. Such bs. He deserved those life sentences and I’m glad he was never able to get out on parole. Even if he was telling the truth and had never actively killed the women, his inaction and help in burying them makes him a murderer. He had the chance to have saved these women but didn’t do it, so his charges were just in my eyes. Because I don’t believe his story about not being involved in any of the killings, I wonder if he could have somehow been involved in Lena’s murder since I seriously doubt someone as despicable as him would’ve quit cold turkey after his partner had died.

    I mean… any truth of Miller’s culpability died with Worrell. Miller would’ve shifted all the blame onto Worrell and vice versa. They always turn on each other, even the thickest of thieves, esp to secure a deal. They always try to distance themselves and minimize their participation, all of which he literally did.

      No Miller was gay & was obsessed with Worrell. Worrell used Miller because he had a car & was quite naive. They’d go on these drives & pick up women hitchhiking & Worrell would boss Miller around & tell him where he wanted to go. When Worrell was doing all the raping & killing, Miller would take off & go for a walk for about 1 hour & he was usually very upset with what Worrell had done but it was too late Miller had been madly in love with Worrell & would never report him to police. I feel a bit sorry for him because it was an unrequited love. Worrell used him & would throw him a morsel now & then to get his hopes up but Worrell just needed a driver and it’s true that Miller never laid a hand on any of those girls & never participated in any burials. His hands were clean. His only crime was being very naive/semi retarded, too generous to the wrong people & giving his love to a POS who wasn’t even gay but led him on. He was even afraid of Worrell, he said he’d come after him & stab him because he thought Miller was becoming a liability by wanting to cut ties because he hated what Worrell was doing.

    • @Lizzie-ve7kt
      @Lizzie-ve7kt Год назад

      @tatianarizktaylor1818 you should save your pity for the actual victims. Miller doesn’t deserve it. He was at the very least still complicit in these horrendous murders. It doesn’t matter if he was in love, he was still responsible for not ever trying to help these women and allowing Worrell to keep killing even more women. Plus, being gay doesn’t mean that he couldn’t have been more involved in the murders than he said, obviously he wasn’t involved in the sexual assault but that doesn’t mean he didn’t play a larger role in the killings than he let on. You weren’t there so you can’t say with any authority that he never laid a hand on these women.

      Freud said that what happens in childhood affects your adult life. I remember a woman stabbing her husband something like 113 times. She thought she was stabbing her abusive father, as he was still alive. Ed Gein the serial killer. His mother was always telling him that women were evil temptresses (like Eve). When that combines with natural sexual desire and creates a serious mental conflict, you have problems. If you listened to these killers' stories, they would have had horrific childhoods. Google Derek Percy. He was one crazy guy.

      Many are from dysfunctional and violent homes. Not a good start to make someone emphatic. You would need a psychologist to unpack why some individuals are like this. This is not the case for all murderers and people who commit violent acts but most serial killers like the ones in this video usually come from horrible backgrounds themselves.
