And who was the French-speaking woman who lured Rena to the barn? Very strange way of targeting someone - by phoning them multiple times to lure them to a specific location - especially someone you don't know. Very personal, unlike the murders of Sandra and Pamela which seem to have been opportunistic.

My parents knew Edward Coolidge's parents, and one day, when my mother was walking to work, Mr. Coolidge offered her a ride. When she got into the car, he assured her that the red blotches on the seats were harmless, and that his son had been hunting rabbits. That stepdaughter should have been sentenced to the same amount of time that the shooter received. Since a report was taken of alleged abuse and CPS determined that it was unfounded, the girl was lying. Furthermore, the pair should have been found guilty of FIRST degree murder, as the shooting was definitely premeditated. It's too bad that Danny met that woman who had kids. He merely tried to place a few rules on the woman's kids, who were undisciplined and mouthy, and the girl had him killed for it!

      Where are you getting this info? Multiple witnesses, including Danny's friends knew he had inappropriate SA relationships with underage girls in town and witnessed his violence towards the step daughter. The reason the WHOLE TOWN turned a blind eye is because they knew what he was doing. Nothing was "unfounded", as the abuse wasn't reported until years later and Danny did a great job of terrifying his victims with threats of abuse and death to keep them silent.

    It’s hard for me to believe Melanie’s story. I feel like she was bitter towards Danny because of her mother and it’s not much of a stretch to think that her mother poisoned her against her stepfather. Regardless of whether her allegations were true, I certainly don’t believe her story of not being involved in any way in the murder. It’s obvious she pointed Danny out as if Eric had acted solely by himself he wouldn’t have needed her in the car with him. I personally think she knew about Eric finding out about the sexual abuse in his family and made up the story about Danny in order to manipulate him into killing her stepfather. I’d like to know more about her mother and why the divorce was so acrimonious because I can very easily see an impressionable girl hearing her mother complain about someone for years and developing an intense hatred of them since she wouldn’t have blamed her mother for anything (even if her mother and Danny had both equally been to blame for the downfall of their marriage) and would’ve put all her blame on him. Melanie should’ve gotten a longer sentence since she knew what he was doing climbing up that tree with a gun, she should’ve been charged with being an accessory to murder.

  • @toeachitsown2050
    @toeachitsown2050 4 месяца назад

    Wow, Danny was ALREADY "out of the picture" when he was shot. You did not do ANY research on this case! Melanie was afraid Danny would find her and hurt her like he promised and Eric was trying to protect her. Danny was a known violent predator and he was ultimately murdered for it. The reason it took 20 years to find who did it was because he was such an evil person that the entire town thought his murder was "justice " and he had hurt sooooo many people. You made Danny out to be an angel and left out all of the important complexities of this case! Boo
