Great little gun. Quality craftsmanship. I have one that my father bought immediately after he was discharged from the Coast Guard in 1945.

Winchester model 63 is an outstanding 22 rifle. I have one that was made in the 1930's. My dad gave it to me. So much fun to shoot. And the accuracy is quite good. Quality is outstanding. Literally a lifetime gun. The model 63 really shines with either Winchester super x or CCI stinger ammo.

I have my grandfathers. Almost new condition. Mine is a carbine model (shorter barrel) with the Lyman adjustable rear sight that Grandpa had installed when new (he put that sight on every rifle he bought). Love it. Best shooting .22 semi I have ever owned.

The 20” barrel version(same as mine) was only available for around the first year of production, 1936. after that they were only available in 23”.

The first year of production for the Model 63 was 1933. They had a 20 inch barrel. Later additions had a 22 inch barrel.

Nibs, another sweet one, I have to agree with Walnut & Steel, all though most of my modern rifles
are either laminate wood or fiberglass........ but you can't beat a nice walnut stock !!

You won't be disappointed if you find one in good condition at a relatively reasonable price. The model 63 is made phenomenally well. A fun gun for plinking.

Does the round capacity limit in NY include tube fed firearms? We have a 10 round limit in CA, but tube fed is exempt from that rule or law
    Beautiful rifle by the way

I have been trying to find a model 63 for years, no can do. Seems as though the local gun shops are not interested in purchasing them from sellers, for whatever reason. So I'll keep on trying.
