A law should have been passed in the early 70's that mandated every Allman Brothers show open with Don't Want You no More followed by Not My Cross to Bear. Just brings you right out of your seat immediately.

Not a bad double opener talk about back where it all began so many nights at the beacon w the brothers missed you ! Is that Gregg singing from heaven? Great job guys!
Amazing they let Gregg open in!!!! What an awesome thing to do... like the butch mtn jam intro as well in 2nd set. Did miss seeing Skydog up there during NOTRW like we got to from late 90's shows... but no complaints. Thanks Jaimoe, warren, rest for making this happen
The first song is that free hit from a crack dealer. The tease of Statesboro is the second rock he shows you but you have to pay for that one and all the others 😄
No more Trucks in the band than there was six year ago. I think its great its staying in the family. Not to mention Jaimoe set this all up :) We were at the show and he was smiling from ear to ear!!
@@1wildlov That is a good point! :) I think people are overlooking how good Duane did at covering his uncles parts. Butch was very underestimated by the current drumming world. I think the only person I've really heard that understands how good he was is Steve Gorman. He not only had an incredibly unique style but also drove the band. I was really worried as the wrong choice for his replacement could have sunk this gig really quick.
Jaimoe was the impetus behind the whole thing. He made the call to Warren, Derek etc so he wanted it. Why wouldnt he? 50 years...and he was there from the beginning. Everybody on stage was connected to the Allman Brothers Band in some way so it's not like these guys were hired guns for one night of playing music. They ALL understand the legacy and the history behind one of the greatest bands ever...
I was at the show...LOVED it...but this video coverage of the concert is awful...sound is GREAT...the band was great but the director in the truck was CLUELESS...far away shots...cutting to the wrong guitarist...shame...
Blessed to be in attendance. Wonderful, magical evening. Once in a lifetime. Hopefully I don't contract corona. Peace all!
Brent Hammonds agreed
Brent Hammonds the last show before corona shut everything down. It was sold out, our aisle was full. I didn’t catch Corona!
Such a proper opening. Has it's probably the first group of songs any of us remember from back in the day. Much love from one of the many fans.

So great how they had Gregg sing the first line....

It's funny how people actually thought the guys behind the cameras were monitoring the chat feed for instructions on what to do next....
On behalf of everyone watching this: FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!
Badassery from start to finish
Thanks nugs I appreciate the view.. but really you cut it off right at the start of Statesboro Blues! Smmfh😤

Great way to break it down there Stagger 😂
They did the same thing with Bluesky 😣

i know!!! Nugs probably tells them to play their most popular songs second. 😉
I like when Dickie Betts sings it anyway 🍄 last time I saw him was at Peach 2018
Thanks The Brothers, thanks nugsnet!!
Did they use any of the equipment from brothers who are no longer with us???
Yes. Derek played Duane's Goldtop to start the 2nd set -- Mountain Jam and Blue Sky
Peter Cassell what about the organ/piano was that Gregg’s????
I think Duane was using one of his uncle’s drum kits.
🌈😎🌈
Wonder how sole survivor Jaimoe feels about this? The Trucks Brothers band
No more Trucks in the band than there was six year ago. I think its great its staying in the family. Not to mention Jaimoe set this all up :) We were at the show and he was smiling from ear to ear!!
