1KD Hiaces regularly do 700,000km plus, the highest I know of is 860,000km(still going, uses < 1 litre of oil over 10,000km changes), I have never heard of a precautionary injector change only severe misfire and individual injector replacement. Hiaces are either 80kw or after 2011 100kw motors so aren't as highly strung as hiluxes, never tow and do long hot miles usually. Never heard of a diesel model blowing an engine unless it's a blocked pickup. The 1KD is a very good design.

We have had quite a few of that model run of Hi Ace,for work vehicles, although only one with the 1 KD.All the others were 2.7 petrol, most did over 330,000Km without a repair, and are rediculously reliable. Many on LPG.The 1 KD we have is 2016,and only has around 200,00Km on it.The petrol is much nicer to drive.Lower power/torque out put of the diesel in the Hi Ace is probably why they last so long, injectors as well.

It's still a 1KD, just been de rated for use in the hiaces, in around 2011 they went up to 100kw. By being detuned they regularly go over 700,000km and get around 9litres per 100km
