Chris's first two albums had NO skips!!!! I was so disappointed when Graffiti came out and the sound was drastically different. Btw Chris is from Tappahannock, Virginia. Poppin holds a special place in my heart. To me, this is Chris at his purest and best. When it came out, it was during the transition period between his debut and second album and also was on the "Stomp the Yard" soundtrack. (Just to be precisely clear, the song is of course on his debut album, but it wasn't released as a single until February 2007. It was seen more so as a promotional single, so Chris didn't bother shooting a video for it, since his debut album already had 4 other successful singles.) I have so many memories of laying in my bed with my portable CD player (God I can't see myself doing that now) listening to this album from top to bottom between 2006 and 2007. Chris use to be EVERYTHING to me.
When he played Poppin I was whaaaaat?! Really when played Don't by Bryson Tiller I was shocked. I did the research though and "Dont" samples "Shake It Off" by Mariah Carey which Jonta wrote.

Hey Jack, great reaction man. Idk why for some reason I haven’t been getting notifs for your reactions lately but this one I did. Anyway this was a good song, Chris brown throwing out some good beats.👍😎
Bro do you do music yourself or any type of producing? I'm not sure if it's just how well spoken you are or if your actually in the industry yourself. You got a lot of knowledge man ive been watching your channel for a minute and you catch a lot of things that people don't even really think of when they listen to a song. If you don't do music you would do great at it. Im not sure how your vocals are but definitely something with producing. Sorry for the novel. Just had a lot to say
This was/is a classic of his. Produced by producer duo Dre & Vidal. They also co-wrote the song with Johnta Austin who did a lot of work with Chris early on. These three are also responsible for “Yo (Excuse Me Miss)”
Can you react to Chris song from his album graffiti? It’s called famous girl. That album is a underrated album and should get its respect cause he was pouring his heart out on that album. Also I feel the same way abt the beat too😂. Great reaction Jack👍🏽.
It wasn't underrated with me and my friends. I just watched Poppin with Jack, but I'm singing "So Cold" in my head. Famous Girl was also on repeat, as well as "I'll Go", that was a beautiful song!
