Maybe if u start to use others plant types, people will be inspired. Indeed, I started to use in my recently reset a new plant to me, it's the Proserpinaca Palustris(a cuban variety 😎) and I still waiting to get the Rotala Orange Juice. I leaved an empty space in the tank.
Balazs is the cause of this list: when hè scapes a nano tank there is no pot of that particular plant left in eastern europe. Always Nice to hear from you Guys , see you thursday
Perfect timing! 👌Just yesterday evening I was curious, if there was a list of trending plants in aquascaping, but couldn't find something like this. So this video turning up in my feed now felt like magic! 🤣 I was also looking for some information about aquarium trends changing over time (let's say years or even decades). Such as new styles developing, new plant species introduced, new tank styles, new lights/filter systems...), So if you ever find time to go deeper into that, would be really nice! As always, really impressed with your video quality, thanks a lot! 🤩
I memorized these plants name while watching all videos in green aqua. And because of that my family thinks I speaks different language and its cool really!
I love this type of video !! Best seller of the year is very representative of the choice of people . I think is very useful for a lot of people ! Thank you for that .
I absolutely LOVE vallisneria it grows really fast and is super hardy. I have it in a 65 gallon tank and it is above the water and just sways like grass.
Hi Balazs, this was a nice surprise to start the week. Thanks for putting this all together, some big surprises too , the vallis amongst them , thank you as always.
Hi... Great Job again. Please tell me the different of Eleocharis Parvulus Mini and Eleocharis Acicularis. Because in our country i couldn't find Eleocharis Acicularis...
Balazs in. My hometown in india "tanjore" there is a river called cauvery where we can find hygrophilla pinnatifida, hydrocotyle verticilata, lotus , duckweed , lily , water letuce , camboba carolina , lilaeopsis braziliensis , valisneria , prosepinaca palustris cuba , lobilia, lignobium levigato, limnophilla sesiliflora
Same here. I have a canal barely half mile from my residence. I believe more plant varieties are there in that. When I started my planted aquarium I brought Red Cabomba and Val from store and later found out that I could collect tonnes of them for free. This year when the water level got reduced I collected many varieties for my aquarium. Being a beginner I am not even able to identify them properly.
I filled my tank with eye catching expensive colorful stem plants, then I realized I needed something simple and green to provide contrast and nice separation. Val is a palette cleanser.
Cool to see what’s popular on your side of the world in aquascaping plants. Here in Australia I reckon the list would be similar. I was surprised Java fern sp. didn’t get a mention. What would George think?! Haha 🌿
Thank you Balacs (sp). I love the Ludwigia but my Monte Carlo and Staurogyne repens are very slow. They all take bright light. Anubias are great also and I want to try the Reineki red. Great little video.
I’ve grown dwarf hair grass with my tap water and no Co2. It does perfectly fine. I do use the dry start method but It’ll do good without Co2 I’ve tested this 3x
Great "best sellers" video!👍🏻:) To my mind, you have to distinguish with Eleocharis. Acicularis mini probably does not do well in an No Co2 environment, but parvula/pussila grows relative good.
there are no microsorum, i love that plant a lot especially needle and java fern types.. The hairgrass is an absolute winner.. Great content by the way.. This channel is a must when im gonna built an aquascape
The Valisneria is very popular in my area, mostly used in natural light tanks (not a lot of aquascaper here). I would love to see Wich rare plants you guys have in display.
I really expected to see the Amazon Sword in the list. But then I remembered that this is an aquascaper's shop. And what plants do aquascapers hate the most? The big and bulky ones.
I like epiphyte plants and admittedly i often use small to medium sized Cryptocoryne and Echinodorus. Because they are low maintenance also they can have great variation in leave stucture and coloration.
Hi !! Is there any carpet plants which similar to the elocharis can survive in non co2 environment ? Can the 3rd and 2nd survive in non co2 enviroment ? Please reply 😂. Thanks alot
We do have a lot of garden centers in the city but hard to find a decent aquarium plant shop :) So we limit our service to the aquarium business and try to be the best in that. 😃
I once saw a large tank that used val. Americana asiatica for a carpet plant and man was it something! Not sure how hard/long it would take to get it conditioned to only growing 3-4in. (7-10cm) tall by constantly trimming short.
Hi guys HELP!! This morning I saw 4-5 Planaria worms, few Scuds, and maybe a dozen of detritus worms! Water parameter is completely fine. What is happening and how to get rid of those weird creatures??
I don't have co2 tank but i want to made planted tank then what kind of plant I can use Or if any kind co2 substitute have then pls tell me. I am a big fan of your. This is my dream pls help me.
Hello, I have a question concerning the decoration of a tray: I want to put a beautiful rock crystal in a tray that will contain shrimp, the problem is that I cannot find any information on the subject, is it that there would be a contraindication to putting crystals such as rock crystal or Amethyst in a tank, is that their component can diffuse in the water of the tank, this is what I find on the composition of the crystal Rock: Rock crystal is a colorless transparent quartz (hyaline quartz). It is part of the group of silicates and is mainly composed of silicon (SiO2) and for Amethyst it is identical: chemical formula is SiO2, so the composition of amethyst is silicon dioxide Have you ever seen hardscape with this kind of decoration, if not do you think that there could be some risk for rather resistant shrimp? I know there is one ADA product that contains Tourmaline but other than that I have never seen anything else regarding the use of crystals, there is at least one that I know that is definitely not recommended to put in a shrimp tank it is Malachite which is composed largely of copper which is harmful to shrimp, but the crystals I do not think they dissolve in water Thank you for all your inspiring videos 👍
@@GreenAquaShop yeah it’s natural range is mainly right next door in New England, which is where I grew up so I remember seeing it in the ponds and ditches on the sides of the road. Maybe there’s a lot of people with that nostalgia because there’s a lot of people in that area? Just a thought. 😃
Yeah i guess all developing area was in the same situation in the past including us. Needed time for the shops to step up / generate demands and work out the supply chains to support it.
What do you think about the result? Surprised? Let us know!
I am not surprised about the result bc all these plants are amazing. 👌👍😊
I was surprised there is no Pinatifida in the list, because in green aqua I have seen many scapes with Pinatifida
Yup this is slightly changing over time, but this is why it is important to educate owners on other plants too 👍
Yeah still very popular, but not in the top 10

Most Eleocharis species are doing ok in Non-CO2 environment, but you need CO2 for a lush carpet. Also make sure temp is always below 25C
