Idol might not be your song but it’s an important song in BTS’ discography because it’s a message to the haters who said they were westernized when they blew up in the US
BST not being his cup of tea is more shocking to me😭 like you can say he is into that peculiar kpop sound that he isn't fond of those different genres bts does with meaningful underlying message
In my opinion, BTS's versatility is one of their strongest suit. Sure, you may not like everything they do because of personal preferences but they have something for everyone. They also aren't afraid to experiment with new sounds - even on title tracks - which is not a thing that a lot of artists do. And they do it right. They don't lock themselves in a genre and let their creative mind go wild. They also always try to do better than before, never getting complacent and it shows About Idol...it's an interesting song. It's about self love and self worth. It's about not giving a fuck about haters and embracing who you are. It's a hype and feel good song. And the MV can seem overwhelming and ridiculous but it's filled to the brim with symbolism and references. Using critics that they received with derision. You should really watch an explanation video, it's really interesting!
it also is so different because of they were changing during all of their era's and having different emotions, feelings, thoughts and inspirations and they chose to express it through their music. Hence you will also never find just one MAIN sound of them cuz it was always changing or evolving. I hope u check out their songs which they have released aldready as they never stopped releasing even in military, for ex, jhopes new album just released a few days back depite him ald being in the military
The thing about BTS is that context matters. There were a LOT of songs that I didn't care for when I first started listening to BTS but once you understand the whole picture you come to realize that every single choice makes perfect sense.
And knowing the Era's matters. Also not just the context but the sequence of the songs matters. I think you shouldn't watch their MV's at random, like watching Idol, then BST, ON, cause they're not even in the same Era, the songs wouldn't make sense, but of course you can watch all BTS songs at random, but by doing so, you're basically wasting the entire song by not comprehending it. And then you complain why the song looks or sound mediocre 🙄. This is literally like Spring Day MV, without context, it's just a ballad song about missing someone. But if you dig deeper then it's a complete different dimension. Another example is watching DNA, if you only watch it alone, it will only become a genetic superficial pop song about love. And there's nothing more to it, than a Kpop song with no deep lyrics. But if you watch DNA, along with all the songs in the album till the Outro song. You'll be mind blown, cause you'll realize despite how shallow or superficial DNA sound or looks, it's no ordinary song, cause it is actually a piece (song) of a puzzle (album). Without that song, the power or impact behind the album wouldn't really work. So all the songs in the album are needed since it serves a much greater purpose than just listening to a song alone. But if you just listen to one album alone either like "LY:Her", it wouldn't make sense so it wouldn't give any impact either if you don't listen to the next album and the next album after that like "Tear" and "Answer". Cause BTS, not just use their songs as pieces of puzzles to form a greater picture, they also use their albums as pieces of puzzles. 😅 And the amount of thought, effort, and details in each song is crazy. Like the complicated story telling behind HYYH, Wings, LY, and MOTS7 is wild.
Another funny story, I used to think BTS songs were mid, turns out they were hidden masterpieces, I was just stupid 😂. Diving deep to BTS music is such a humbling experience.
Honestly, I didn’t care much for Idol at first, but watching it live, especially with an audience, gave it this whole festival feel that is much different than just watching the music video. It’s a celebration of loving yourself and not caring about the negative thoughts of others. And then you learn they released it as a celebration of their Korean heritage because they were getting criticism that they were only seeking western validation with their music. I got to experience it live at Sofi stadium too, and the energy in the room was like nothing I’d ever experienced. The whole stadium was shaking. With any BTS song that you don’t love at first listen, I implore you look at them at from different angles before deciding you don’t like it for sure. I’m not saying you’ll always change your mind, but I have many of their songs that I felt the same at first listen, and it either just took me doing a deeper dive or seeing them perform it live, and suddenly it felt like a whole new song.
Oh my god i felt the same way, but for Boy With Luv. I thought it was cringe and cheesy at first. I didn't like the oh my my my part. Then, when I really get into bts and deep dived into their lyrics, it changes everything. How the song's message was to show growth from Boy In Luv, just selflessness of love rather than demanding being loved, especially RM's rap part. The lyrics "my pain is your pain" I love it so much I replayed it so much. You are so right that theres not a lot of songs of bts that you will dislike. If i don't really like a song from bts, i would give it a second and third listen because I just knew there's deeper meaning behind it.
Couldn't have said it better. I fell in love with it at Sofi! I will never forget that moment for the rest of my life. It was bigger than BTS or Army. People may make fun of this but it was a highly spiritual experience to scream that song at the top of your lungs with 70,000 other people.
There are honestly so many songs of theirs that I personally don't love or wouldn't listen to in my free time, but I could watch them be performed live endless times.
Idol was not my favorite at first too, but the more I listened to it and after I experienced it live with 70,000 people all screaming at the top of their lungs "you can't stop me loving myself" I understood the greater meaning behind it and have loved it ever since. 💜
This happened to me with Outro:Wings even though it wasn’t in a stadium it was at the PTD LA showing on cinemas. Its just really special seeing it *live*
The comments really said everything i was thinking about BTS. I was surprised when you were hesitating to put them in S tier but then i realized you probably haven't even scratched the surface of their songs yet. Which is fine. They're always changing. That's why I love them. That's why they're at the top.
@@becauseisaac Yeah, I feel you. It took a long time for me to finally notice them (I've known them for years, but just as a 'boyband'), but when I finally decided to listen to them, I have been hooked up ever since. Every new song that I listen to opens up more and more towards what they really are. You do you bro, keep discovering them at your own pace, don't be pressured by us 😅
I don't wanna sound like an obsessed fan but man blood sweat and tears is like one of yhe most and beautifull songs in their disco a HIT that propelled them to a big grp status after most beautifull moment (hyyh) series and they have soo many hits that is known beyond kpop circle not to mention their different and impecable disco most having them working on it firsthand it would be a crime for them to be anywhere otherthan S
23:20Of course, cause BTS is originally Hip-hop, they're not supposed to be a Kpop idols. 25:02 That beat is made by Suga when BTS haven't debuted yet.
BTS are the PRIONEERS of kpop, they have so many b-sides that I genuinely can’t believe are b-sides cause they could easily be title tracks. Your reasoning for why you were hesitating to put them in S-tier is ironically the reason why they’re at the top in the first place, it’s because they have something for everyone, if you like more poppy/sugary songs, they got you covered, if you like rap, they got you covered, no matter what music genre or style you prefer there’s bound to be something for you in BTS’ discography. most groups tend to stick to one style or genre, which means that they’ll likely cultivate a loyal fandom that enjoys that genre, but they likely won’t appeal to people who aren’t fans of that particular genre/style, while on the other hand BTS has fans that like all different types of genres.
@@estkioo I dare to disagree big bang stuck to their mix of hip-hop and electronic music, in the so-called "noise music" their music did not develop. same with Wonder girls, their music is like disco retro pop in western style. it has not developed much. and here you have bts who does something new with every release they have pop, hip hop, rock, boom bap, folk, r&b, latin pop, disco, ballads, r&b, neo-soul, folk and indie. if bts isn't the pioneers and multi-artist in kpop i don't know who is
@@TiaIelaBeing a Pioneer of something in music has nothing to do with the sound😭😭Please look at the definition, it means like being the first to do something.
@@estkioo "A pioneer is someone who sees potential, an Innovator who is willing to try new things. A pioneer pushes boundaries to advance a cause or idea or break a record. These men and women have experienced success in their field, sometimes by overcoming great challenges ." in my opinion, the most perfect description of bts, but if you want to take it from the "being the first" point of view, then bts was the first of kpop to utilize many music genres successfully. the original comment talks about music genres. if we're talking about who entered the west first, then yes Wonder girls, but if we're talking about who stayed and helped others to the west, then bts. (big bang is not a good example tho)
just be fair and dont judge BTS by their english hits, which vocally they sound excellent but the songs are.. ehhh.. less than their ksongs. not a kpop fan but i fell hard on BTS for their ksong, after hearing V's music. Their messages, using so much symbolism that you have to see explanation to understand and notice it, is so cool. Way cooler than I thought I’d find interesting. And the fact that I can really enjoy their music and top performance even without understanding, for me, speaks for their quality. I'm old, so my experience of boy band isn’t great.. they were too tacky and not interesting on the late 80s-90s-2000s.. Also, non-related, please try for your pleasure: red band ninet crazy ruclips.net/video/rE2EWYdXQFI/видео.htmlsi=Gg5Lw7FDKVxNuI85 RedBand & Ninet - Can't feel my face - ruclips.net/video/WyfkfEDX_ik/видео.htmlsi=k1O0eBGaBBd2LH7K
With all my love to BTS and being ARMY I don't think we should consider their english songs less. Even though for some people they are less interesting or not so meaningful they are still their songs. They cowrote them, published, and put their names on them.
@@becauseisaac16:55 If you don't like the IDOL song just base on how it look or how it sound, then BTS is doing a great job portraying the song. 😂 They're truly intellectually brilliant, no wonder they're way popular, it's just unfortunate people are too dumb to even realize it. And I was one of those people. Few years before, I've heard of BTS and I had watched their MV's like Idol, Fake Love, DNA, Boy with Luv, etc. a couple of times before and I never liked it. Cause everything looked too superficial, like the rest of all Kpop groups I've seen and watched. I have very high standards in music, Flashy visuals, good looks & outfits, excellent choreography, impressive vocals /MV production, etc. never faze me. Which is why I was never been interested in KPOP. And honestly nothing looks more generic, superficial and overrated than a band called BTS 😂. So I checked them out to prove their fans wrong. Back then I used to wonder why they were way more popular compared to other groups, when other Kpop groups can sing better, dance better, looks better, and have way cooler MV's. But now, after truly diving deep to BTS entire discography. And researching & UNDERSTANDING their songs (not just watching & listening) I'm not ashamed to admit that I was wrong about BTS. All my negative pre-concieve notions about them & their music is all gone. But unfortunately, for the rest of Kpop all my pre-concieve notions is still proven to be true. So I still don't like them. Cause they're not as real or as smart as BTS.
@@rafaelsmith5737 that's amazing how you described BTS, I love some of other kpop groups but I completely agree with your comment. Everyone should read it💜
@@becauseisaac30:29 The reason why you don't like some BTS songs is mainly because you don't even begin to understand it. 😂 Trust me. Idol for example might not be your cup of tea, just like how it wasn't my cup of tea. But spare some time and watch it again and if you still don't like it, then watch "Idol explained by a Korean" and "Idol Explanation video by Xceleste" Maybe it will change your mind. Afterwards, watch Blood Sweat and Tears then watch Blood Sweat and Tears EXPLAINED.
I always laugh at people pointing out things in Idol like how flashy, fake, irritating, suffocating, eww are things in it when they are literally saying... 'Should I care?' that's how I feel with you. 😂 Idol is a song that's Cool and Cold at the same time 😬
I feel that if people are making those complaints, the song has done the job it was made to do. It's SUPPOSED to be those things, because BTS got that kind of hate: 'This video is too flashy. That video has too much color in it. This one here is too goofy! That one back there is so fake!' So BTS rolled their eyes and used IDOL to double down on everything they'd been nagged about. They made the song say, 'No matter how much hate and criticism you send at us for these things, you can't stop us loving ourselves. We're gonna make the music and videos we want to, and if you don't like it or us, quit the hating: just don't watch or listen.' It's particularly poignant because people were raising all kinds of Cain at them for 'discarding their heritage' and 'getting too westernized'. So they doubled down on the Korean cultural references as well (and, shock and amazement, got criticized for *that* too) as a really subtle but savage slap-back to say, 'No, we're not, you haters just like to insult us. Whatever we do, you'll complain, so complain about THIS.'
Idol is a song that I only learned to appreciate when I hearded it live. The energy of this song live is something else. So you should watch "MMA 2018" in order to change your mind 😅
@@crystalsnow1138 Yes. I went to their show in 2019, in Brazil. I remember realizing this when the song was playing and the whole stadium was singing "You can't stop me loving myself". It was a powerful moment. The energy was unbelievable, and I had spent the whole day in line and I was so tired. It's music to be heard live, music to be felt.
Yeah me too. The song grew on me when I started to watch the live performances. I started to like the song more and more the moment I realized how fun and alive the live performances are
Right?? This is just his preferences but presented like an expert opinion. It’s kind of funny when people are so confident in their barely informed opinions.
I was a bit surprised that you were hesitating to put BTS in S tire but of course im not mad cuz i really love your options! 😂 The way you react is cool for me and i just binge watched all your reactions once cuz i loved how you gave honest reviews. My favourite is Rm too and im happy that hes getting the attention he deserves since he's in the least fav line in bts 😭. ( I was hoping you would react to bts old songs which i mean from 2013 - 2016 which ARE COMPLETELY HIP HOP and a music video called 'Not today mv.' 😭❤️)
BTS is top tier. The GOAT. Lmao they had hardcore metal and rock heads listening to kpop. You’re right, they have dynamite and butter, the generic pop songs, however, their discography goes so vast and so deep that you haven’t even scratched the surface yet. I agree with RM’s voice. It’s actually my favorite too! It’s so commanding. I don’t really know how to describe it, I just know I love it so much. I can listen to him all day.
BTS songs all have meaning...be wary of your first impression on "Idol" it is so complex that it was necessary to edit an "explanatory" video same thing for "Blood sweat and Tears" same "ON" ...which you can also watch "kinetic" version..
I love all of bts songs they never miss ever with their songs even the other idols after these guys say the same thing bts are legendary. I even seen bts in concert over the years from 2013 till thwir Busan concert they are beyond incredible. They wont retire they for a while they are still in their prime yet evem suga and the rest of them has said they will still be doing this till their last breath.

I think you don't fully understand BTS, if you don't like some of their stuff sound wise, it's fine I respect that. But it takes more to really understand their music, it's not enough just listening
@@becauseisaacyeah its okay dude...not everyone must like BTS. Everyone had their own taste on music. Even me, who had a lot of years on KPop and know almost all their songs not gonna put them on S tier. So it's okay
I was surprised you didn’t see the biblical references in both Blood, Sweat and Tears (but understand that you just saw a glimpse) and I also in the ON that you mentioned you liked RM ‘S voice. Many biblical referencesin that original MV. Ya, although all of the love kids, V is so good with them! If you like marching band with that style, then taking a look at ON:Kinetic Manifesto might be fun for you as it was recorded with L.A. Marching band and it’s more dance and marching band than the story in ON. They purposely used lots of CG in Idol for a certain reason but it’s fine not to love every song. Some of these groups were very new and some were extremely older. I’m a person who thinks non-stop so I’m wondering what you’re using as criteria for your interesting grading system esp as a producer. I am ARMY but I do listen to other music. I won’t bother you by mentioning my expertise in different areas. I’m not a producer. Thank you for an interesting perspective! Can’t wait for your part 3! 💜🇨🇦
love 8turn! their choreography is actually very high energy, it just isn't shown much in the music videos. their performance and dance practice videos are insane!!
I think BTS really shine in their LIVE performances. I wasnt a fan of idol when it first came out either, but I came to love it aftrr seeing it live. With BTS, its also pretty important to read the lyrics as well. I think part of the reason BTS is so big compared to other groups and so well-loved is because they self-produce their songs (a rarity in kpop), and their songs speak to the youth about various heavy and dark topics. They are also extremely raw and transparent about their struggles and worries in some of their songs (like black swan, shadow, etc.). Their live performances are also second to none, because no other groups can match their stage performance, live vocals, or pure passion for the stage. You will NEVER see them bring anything less than their 200% to the stage. There are so many behind the scenes footage of them collapsing on the stage once the lights goes off after a performance because they just go THAT hard. Especially Jungkook and Jimin who are known to be notoriously harsh on themselves. Just check out their MMA 2019 performance. Award show performancea just arent the same without BTS ever since they enlisted in the army. Honestly this video series is a terrible idea and I had to raise an eyebrow when i first saw it pop up on my reccomendeds. I dont think you can fairly judge any kpop group in its entirety with just a few songs and one live performance, because many kpop groups have a very wide discography and their live performances often improve over time (and obviously some performances are better than others). If you wanted to judge them fairly you would have to be more well-researched on every group because videos like this are just bound to bring you unhappy fans when you dont give their groups a good enough chance, and start fanwars in the comments.
With BTS Idol they kept accusing them of using to much cgi so they made Idol with as much cgi as possible With Blood Sweat & Tears is all about temptations You should’ve done ON Kinetic Manifesto
Idol is an awesome song that uses traditional Korean instruments and music mixed with African rhythm to create a celebration of who they are. They overcame the stereotype of labels that people try to give than. This has so much depth and meaning.
Idol is a diss track to all their haters and big FU to them and BTS telling them they'll do what they want and they aren't going to let anyone stop them from loving themselves. It's part of the Love Yourself Triology of albums where they explore the that fact everyone needs to learn to accept and love themselves before they'll ever be able to accept and love other people. Blood, Sweat and Tears is about growing up, meeting temptation, falling to temptation, the lose of innocence. It's based heavily on the classic book by the German Author Hermann Hesse entitled Demian.
Very confused and surprised with the songs you like you want it energy then complain about the energy then you say you want them to balance and when they do like bts you complain 🤦🏼♀️ confused.
I really like BTS and have so much respect for them and their individual talents, but at the end of the day they're an A tier for me. Black Swan is amazing and my second favorite by them, because I'm just so obsessed with House of Cards. One of the best kpop songs out there imo! It's interesting I prefer BTS's more dramatic songs when I tend to love more "edgy" groups like Stray Kids and Ateez 😅
few things. i know youre doing this for fun and some people enjoy it others dont. i personally wouldnt mind this series IF you wouldve finished bts entire discography first and i do think its unfair to rank any artist based on a few songs/music videos. 2nd you are in for a daunting task even for fun idk if you know but there are 100s of groups debuting every week in kpop im not sure how many boy groups specifically but for example when kpop first started there were 60 groups form 1990 - 2002. in 2023 alone 94 debuted. so not only is this kind of insane in a good and bad way depending on the outlook. but many fandoms are gonna feel dissatisfied with your rankings cause you cant possibly form a good opinion based on a few songs some groups like bts for example have over 300 songs. idk youre just opening a lot of cans of different worms when most fandoms wouldve rather you deep dive into each group and treated them as real artists instead of comparing them. kpop is competitive already with the voting, award shows, how many groups are fighting for a chance to be seen before many disband due to lack of funds or visibility. i watch your reactions to bts to see you discover their art, deep dive into their message, lyrics, video meanings etc not comparing them to groups especially brand new ones who barely had a chance to prove themselves or older groups who were way different artists etc. i mean my comment wont stop you and i dont want you to stop but please still post real reactions in between the rankings actually focusing on the artists and art/message/lyrics etc rather "boybands with music that doesnt need to be taken seriously as other artists or genres are"
I am doing this cause I want to discover more music, and this is a fun way for me and everyone watching to do the same. If there's an artist that catches my attention, aka Stray, Ateez etc. I'll keep looking deeper, here on my channel and on my own time. If there are people who don't like my opinions or the videos I make, that's totally fine! If you live your life trying to please everyone, you might as well never do anything. I do this for my own discovery and fun, and I invite anyone who wants to do the same to come along :)
to understand idol you have to have knowledge of Korean as well. its a tricky song to understand so many references and lyrics r important as well. i have to say Idol and BST both are not for beginners. And it's not kpopical language its Korean. Just a note: I hope you can be more respectful before saying stuff like this.

I didn’t like IDOL based on the music video either, but after seeing it performed live, I get the hype. Some songs are just much better with that energy of a live performance
will you do any more of these... love to see you get to Seventeen, Block B, TXT, Boy Next Door, Shinee, Big Bang [some heavy hitters there]. Oh and the idol MV, was supposed to be tropey and ott.
Just curious, did you watch BTS Blood Sweat & Tears in entirety? There’s a section where SUGA plays the organ to a classical piece that I think you would appreciate.

Well BTS is way too different from KPOP. They do all sorts of genres, so yeah they are not that typical kpop group. And ik you are doing this just for fun but there are many meanings behind these songs. And also dont judge them just by listening to some of the songs , when it comes to BTS there is a place for everyone. And idk why u stopped the mv halfway. But , yeah not forcing you or anything like that but listen to their whole discography first nd then judge them . Anyways everyone have different taste nd i respect that . Hope you reflect on what i said .
I’ll be completely honest. If you only listened to 6 songs and 2 live performances by BTS there’s absolutely no way you can rank them from that limited perspective. It would simply just be unfair to a group who has such a wide discography of over 300+ songs. As a fan of kpop in general, BTS belongs no where else but in the S tier. For many reasons. Also the reason why some people are being hard on this is because your opinions are coming off as “professional” from a musical standpoint rather than just “fun” and “lighthearted”. We would expect that you would have done proper research on a group you’re going to be ranking.
Spring Day is another iconic BTS song, and at the time very different than many of their previous songs, marking a new trend for that album and ones after. RM and Suga were involved in writing it and the music video is loaded with references to the Sewol Ferry disaster and calls out corruption.
Idol definitely is the next Gangnam style song , the vibes are so bright and joyful and the chores is so uniqueeeee I love it . I’m sure the more u listen to it the more u like it
I’ve never heard of 8Turn before but I really like them. Not like I love BTS (ARMY since 2018) and my bias wrecker Ateez, but they are very good. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I would say check out Riize (especially Get a guitar and Love 911), EVNNE (Ugly and Trouble), M.o.n.t (IDGAF and Anti-hero), Xdinary heroes (Little things and Freaking bad). Speaking of music videos (the songs are also very good ofc), I think you'd like The Kingdom: Song of Dan, Oneus Luna and Young K (Day6 solo) for "Guard you". From Ateez you gotta watch Guerilla and The Real. And from BTS Not Today and Airplane pt.2. (and live versions too, omg!!) And I love to mention more bands too, like Monsta X, P1Harmony, NCT 127 (and NCT dream), but maybe I should let them be for now 😅
Bts is untouchable. You gotta learn all their discography, live performances, lyrical messages and all the facets of their career to see the full scale of their greatness. They are South Korea's representative G.O.A.T.S and Asia's pride for a reason!
In many cases my favorite BTS songs to "listen to" (things like Like, Run, Look Here, Telepathy, Just One Day etc.) are different from my favorite BTS songs to "watch" (ON-Kinetic Manifesto, Black Swan - great live performances on Corden and Fallon in 2020) or my favorite music videos for cinematic brilliance and storytelling (Fake Love, BST, don't even get me started on the BU) and those are different from my favorite BTS songs to "experience live" (and that's where Idol ends up. Idol in concert is insane but I don't watch the music video nor is it my favorite to just listen to) I mean I love pretty much every BTS song but they each have a purpose and a place. Which is kind of amazing in and of itself.
Cant lie, their songs seem over the top without context but once you get the context, the meaning and connections are crazy. I was today year old when i finally deep dived into their songs and i might have to become an army now lmao
I really hope you continue this series and check out Seventeen. Not as crazy as Ateez but with a huge range of music and large discography (and 13 members, which will probably shock you 😆). One of their members (Woozi) writes all of their music, usually with just their producer (Bumzu) or a couple other members.
Everything in BTS's mvs only has a meaning, Idol does not exist by chance, it is pure meaning. Blood Sweet and Tears, Idol ande On are my favorite BTS songs.Everything is perfect, the lyrics, the music, the choreography and Jimin. Hahahaha But that's okay, I can't stand DNA and I'm judged for that, I'm not going to judge anyone who doesn't like one of my favorite songs. You heard my top 3. I am very proud to say that the choreography for Black Swan was done by a Brazilian.
I think that rapper from A,cian was trying to do a g dragon off kilter- nasally thing. They debuted in 2012. Perfect time for the first wave of idols influenced by Bigbang that started popping up but there's a reason only GD has that style. He's the only one that can do it and make it sound cool. You can't copy the King of kpop.
I’M LIKE 4 MONTHS LATE. I see that the most comments only talked about bts. I don’t really know much besides the fact that they seem to be amazing people but their music hasn’t been my thing recently. let me talk about the other groups instead! (sorry for the roman that’s about to come) first of all, a.cian was so random 😂😂 During your 8turn reaction, you said that the production sounds similar i know what you mean. kpop has a distinct style and there’s always a trending tune a lot of people follow. A lot of groups have/work with the same producers too which doesn’t really help the case but if you like the sound it’s kinda cool because you’ll enjoy most songs of the era. You also mentioned something about the live stages i want to comment on. You’re right, when kpop idols perform live, it’s hard to believe that they sing live and MANY groups use backtracks. It was the same for 8turn. They sang live but the song with their vocals played in the back. I think they sound stable because kpop idols train hard for live stages. My favs, ATEEZ, said that they run on treadmills, jump on the trampoline, keep their heads under water or do rope jumping while singing so they sound stable.

They also always try to do better than before, never getting complacent and it shows
About Idol...it's an interesting song.
Well said! 💜
And the amount of thought, effort, and details in each song is crazy.
Fact! Idol didn’t get the interesting of the song by the MV, but when it goes live, OMG hella AMAZINGGGG🔥🔥🔥
There are honestly so many songs of theirs that I personally don't love or wouldn't listen to in my free time, but I could watch them be performed live endless times.
U ate
Idol was not my favorite at first too, but the more I listened to it and after I experienced it live with 70,000 people all screaming at the top of their lungs "you can't stop me loving myself" I understood the greater meaning behind it and have loved it ever since. 💜
This happened to me with Outro:Wings even though it wasn’t in a stadium it was at the PTD LA showing on cinemas. Its just really special seeing it *live*
BTS SONGS ARE ALWAYS WITH FULL OF energy, love, perfect choreography 💜

I actually like a lot of the other boy groups, but BTS is just GOD tier.
23:20Of course, cause BTS is originally Hip-hop, they're not supposed to be a Kpop idols.
25:02 That beat is made by Suga when BTS haven't debuted yet.
Omg I’m so glad you liked 8turn!! 💞💞 they are new so they still have a lot of growing to do but I feel like they are doing great rn!!!
Exactly!!!
That's not the definition of being a pioneer of something. That would be groups like Big Bang, Wonder girls, etc

@@becauseisaac16:55 If you don't like the IDOL song just base on how it look or how it sound, then BTS is doing a great job portraying the song. 😂
They're truly intellectually brilliant, no wonder they're way popular, it's just unfortunate people are too dumb to even realize it.
And researching & UNDERSTANDING their songs (not just watching & listening)
I'm not ashamed to admit that I was wrong about BTS. All my negative pre-concieve notions about them & their music is all gone.
But unfortunately, for the rest of Kpop all my pre-concieve notions is still proven to be true. So I still don't like them. Cause they're not as real or as smart as BTS.

@@becauseisaac30:29 The reason why you don't like some BTS songs is mainly because you don't even begin to understand it. 😂 Trust me.
Idol for example might not be your cup of tea, just like how it wasn't my cup of tea. But spare some time and watch it again and if you still don't like it, then watch "Idol explained by a Korean" and "Idol Explanation video by Xceleste"
Maybe it will change your mind.
Idol is a song that's Cool and Cold at the same time 😬
I feel that if people are making those complaints, the song has done the job it was made to do. We're gonna make the music and videos we want to, and if you don't like it or us, quit the hating: just don't watch or listen.'
It's particularly poignant because people were raising all kinds of Cain at them for 'discarding their heritage' and 'getting too westernized'.

I just love to come here and see ATEEZ as S rank
With BTS Idol they kept accusing them of using to much cgi so they made Idol with as much cgi as possible
With Blood Sweat & Tears is all about temptations
You should’ve done ON Kinetic Manifesto
I like how honest you are with your reactions..
It's based heavily on the classic book by the German Author Hermann Hesse entitled Demian.
i am so exited for thiss yay alsoo hope to see more of bts in future
Very confused and surprised with the songs you like you want it energy then complain about the energy then you say you want them to balance and when they do like bts you complain 🤦🏼♀️ confused.
I really like BTS and have so much respect for them and their individual talents, but at the end of the day they're an A tier for me. Black Swan is amazing and my second favorite by them, because I'm just so obsessed with House of Cards. One of the best kpop songs out there imo! I'm soo excited for you to get into oneus hehe I'd absolutely recommend comeback home for that reaction!
few things. i know youre doing this for fun and some people enjoy it others dont. i personally wouldnt mind this series IF you wouldve finished bts entire discography first and i do think its unfair to rank any artist based on a few songs/music videos.

Idol is my one of the favorite song they do live!! it's vibe in concert is unmatched!
Spring Day is another iconic BTS song, and at the time very different than many of their previous songs, marking a new trend for that album and ones after. RM and Suga were involved in writing it and the music video is loaded with references to the Sewol Ferry disaster and calls out corruption.
blood sweat and tears is ICONIC period.
Aunque estar en SM nos dejaron muchísimo material, sus solos son increíbles… ya viste lolapaluza con J Hope, fue impactante
I did not like Idol at first either but it grew on me and when I heard it live I went crazy 😆
(and live versions too, omg!!)
And I love to mention more bands too, like Monsta X, P1Harmony, NCT 127 (and NCT dream), but maybe I should let them be for now 😅
J-hope definitely gives golden retriever vibes hahahah that’s why he is known in the fandom as Sunshine
BTS's song "idol" is very good and cool when performed at a live performance. BTS' iconic performers🔥💜
Waiting on your next video on this! When is it coming?!!!
10:15 he needs to learn that how idols practice for sing while dancing😂
I love these reactions
Which is kind of amazing in and of itself.
armys are soo insufferable in the comments 😭
Cant lie, their songs seem over the top without context but once you get the context, the meaning and connections are crazy. I was today year old when i finally deep dived into their songs and i might have to become an army now lmao
Well they are on top if you put them or not 💜
V is called the social butterfly of kpop . He's soooooo nice and modest 😊
"Golden Retriever Energy" is low-key the best description of Hobi I've ever heard. lol
You should watch the Kinetic Manifesto for BTS’ ON.
Because you liked excel by 8turn you might like xdinary heros. They are a k-band and they are not that well known but are really awesome!
I think you're the only honest reaction guy on RUclips
Wow! Thanks for that, That is truly my goal. I'm just not down with being fake.
try Tribe Loui, DJ Jino, Michael Beveraggi.
Yeah...but at the end, on all comment section, it's cute how there so many offended people. So scary to make someone doing content like this again.
i’m so excited for you to get to a.c.e and onlyoneof lol
I don‘t like the Idol MV, but love the song and its message. Why wasn‘t it there in my teenage years?
Ateez set the bar high indeed 🔥 idk if that's a good or bad choice to react ateez since part 1 😂
My love is with SKZ. I love them
I really hope you continue this series and check out Seventeen. Not as crazy as Ateez but with a huge range of music and large discography (and 13 members, which will probably shock you 😆). One of their members (Woozi) writes all of their music, usually with just their producer (Bumzu) or a couple other members.
Yes j-hope gives off golden retriever vibes… he’s just golden!
Is he going to do the kpop bands that use actual instruments and not just song and dance
27:56 Yes Jimin’s angelic voice turn it up
28:48 he does
You should check out their other ON Video. I like that one much better myself!!❤
Let’s hope Nct (127, Dream or U) is in one of these.. they would definitely be on the top
I am very proud to say that the choreography for Black Swan was done by a Brazilian.
so is there a part 3 yet? I went looking but couldn't see it, there are a few I'm waiting to see ranked
BTS best in the world ❤️
Also if you wanna know what they are saying when you pick the Mac make sure to type name of the mv English sub
I’M LIKE 4 MONTHS LATE. I see that the most comments only talked about bts. I don’t really know much besides the fact that they seem to be amazing people but their music hasn’t been my thing recently. let me talk about the other groups instead! (sorry for the roman that’s about to come)
first of all, a.cian was so random 😂😂
During your 8turn reaction, you said that the production sounds similar i know what you mean. kpop has a distinct style and there’s always a trending tune a lot of people follow.
