    I have a six year old son. Last year we were out having a picnic and these two police went past and into the near by Co-Op (across the road from where we were sitting) they had to pass us to get to and from their car. On their way back my son goes “did you get some doughnuts?!” I was mortified but he was genuinely interested (not being cheeky) and they laughed and were like “noooo just sandwiches!” 😂

    I'm not from the police but the way you describe a breakdown is spot on. Months of kind of losing yourself then something in your head just goes. I sat at work (children with learning disabilities) and had a big incident and just couldn't bring myself to respond. Just stood watching. My senior asked if I was OK and I just said no I don't want to live anymore and walked out. No idea where I went or how I got home, I was gone for 4 hours. It's been 4 years now and I'm only just in what I can call recovery. Looking back there were so many signs but until you've been there you can't spot them really.

    Going off the section of you need 2 officers to do X, Y or Z. Is it true that if you end up going to court over a traffic ticket, if the officer that issued the ticket was alone and isn't part of the traffic division, you are more likely to have the ticket dismissed? A barrister friend told me that if I ever get pulled over for a traffic violation and they are on their own, always ask if they are a member of the traffic division.

    First of all, I’ll start with I love your videos and what you stand for mental health wise etc. I just have a query about the quota of arrests or tickets. I have recently been given a section 59 which I accepted. The officer then took my driving license to process it on his tablet, then came back and said because I had previous driving offences (due c&a) he was accusing/charging me for driving without due care, which I disagreed with. Don’t think he had any hard evidence. But if I had contested it I would of lost because it was my word against his. Now I’ve seen this question asked and you answered as you did. He just needed an extra mark that month. What’s your thoughts?

    • @robertstallard7836
      @robertstallard7836 Год назад

      @@bentaylor6785 He did indeed use the word quotas - “Yes and No. It’s called KPIs and its not a quota as such.” were his words.
      He then went on to explain what that means - i.e. not quotas for monetary purposes or so the force is seen to be dealing with loads of speeders or whatever - they’re there to monitor an obviously lazy officer who is underperforming.
      Perhaps some people think that an underperforming officer shouldn't be monitored and that it's quite acceptable for taxpayers money to be wasted on them?
      He further explained that process obtained under a KPI needs to be of quality (giving the example of Mrs Miggins doing 33 in a 30 as not acceptable).
      Therefore, as he says, there aren’t “quotas” in the way many people might assume - going out to book anyone and everyone to "get the figures up".
      I realise that the difference may be too subtle for some people to understand, particularly if they are looking for ammunition.

      Well in fairness, they are committing a breach of the peace and are also potential security risks. Like we saw in Scotland last Monday, that guy who shouted at Prince Andrew needed to be removed because his comments clearly provoked the crowd and that could've turned into a potentially violent situation.
      Also if the protestors are given a direction to leave, how can officers guarantee they won't come back and potentially turn violent!
