Can't count how many times I've been out there on st Clair and the weather and water turns into a nightmare! St Clair is no joke, it's a great lake, it can act like the actual ocean with waves and water movement at times! I've been on the lake with over 6 foot waves before and was lucky enough to get into the harbor safely. Stay safe out there on st Clair and every body of water, tight lines fisherman!
I need to TRY musky fishing befor i die. Looks hard work but damn it would be epic. And as im in Europe i have to go over the pond to try it. And stay safe man. No muskie in the world is worth drowning for. Great video pal
My dad, brothers and I were fishing late fall last year on a big lake. The forecast called for 30 mph winds that would go down as the day progressed. After a rough ride across the lake, we tried to stay in the calmer bays until the weather got better. The winds however picked up and by the end of the day we were fighting a huge storm. Wind chill was probably ten below. We got really cold and four-foot waves that smashed into our boat and soaked us. When we finally made it back to the landing, our windshield was completely covered in ice, along with a lot of the deck and our clothes. I hardly ever put a life jacket on, but that night I did.
I know that you the conditions were very challenging. Yet the person on the net scooped tooooo soon. The fish was less than half way in the net when he started lifting. The person on the reel did a great job of bringing the fish in.
St. Clair at times can be better than any ride at Cedar Point ! Break Out The Bondy & Swim Baits Boys !! Rig those swim baits sideways some times to entice the bite ! Fish On !!
You guys crack me up using all this fancy gear and high test line. I caught big pike and musky on old school Zebco fishing gear and crappy rods back in the day. It was fun! The fish fought hard and peeled a lot of drag but I still won the fight using 12 lb test line and less than reliable tackle. Now you all want super strong line and super strong tackle to catch them. Where is the fun in that? Just winch them in using 80 lb test line and super high tech rods and reels? That is not angling. That is game over for the fish. 50/50 is fishing. Maybe you win the fight or maybe they do. That is what makes fishing fun! The fish has no chance now but to shake the hook. Not a fair fight in my opinion.
In winds like that the big boys like to patrol just under the rollers looking for disorientated baitfish. No disrespect intended but I would have used a large deep V boat in that weather.
"Chaos broke out!" I see what you did there 😏 Great times my friend, can't wait to do it again!
After this I'll watch your video.
Man dude, those were some crazy conditions! Plus that fish Brian got was insane! Cannot wait to get my hands on those swimbaits they look so awesome!

Light house cove ontario is a good spot to catch musky from shore and boat
Or throw the ice in bridge view marina in sarnia
Sorry fellas, that boat is too small for those conditions, Capt. You ought to know better. Nice fish

Limited to what gear the people we fish with have!
I love eating muskies
Ya....iam a fair weather fisherman. That was suicidal.
Wearing life jackets? Foolish behavior for a fish, and I’m a musky addict for 40 years
A good charter would never bring you out on shitty dangerous conditions like this. He should know better.
We were out for fun, we knew exactly what we were getting into! All good!
