    Weather can change things so much. I almost went fishing today but it got sunny and hot so I stayed home. I like the cloudy rainy windy days for shore fishing musky. They come in close to shore when the weather is nasty like that. They can catch food better in the wavy water. I caught my biggest fish in rainy windy conditions. 42 inch beast just 50 ft from shore! Throwing the monster medusa! White of course!

    First of all,love your videos you all do!! I am heading there friday for a 3 day venture with 4 buddies. Our key to success when the wind permits in the past,is to run towards shore untill we hit 6 fow then have the wind push us out to 12" then repeat. My buddy had rediculous action on black and orange orba one day. Over a dozen follows and a couple strikes but was not able to capitilize. Hoping the weather wind and muskie are all in a cooperative mood this weekend.

    Lee was right about the figure 8. It was after it but when you turn into the boat they don’t like that. If he does what lee said and hung it in the corner I’d bet it eats it.

      I wont bash your your comment because you are right that you are allowed 1 fish over 44",however,id like to think that over 90% of all people who go out and focus on catching muskie do not keep them. This is a great thing because it allows muskie folk to catch multiple quality muskies over 44 inches in a single outing. During the 50s 60s 70s and 80s many fisherman harvested every single muskie they caught and from what i have read,catching a 40"+ muskie was very hard to do. Now with strict regs and more people practicing catch,photo,release the quality muskie population is flourishing. Even muskie legend Pete Maina talks about himself as a young guide years ago killing almost every muskie he caught for his clients and deeply regrets it. As a person who gets a rush like no other catching a muskie,i am super glad almost everyone has changed their mind about eating these beautifull top predator fish.

    • @sculpinator14
      @sculpinator14 Год назад

      @@darrylgamble9782 it can take a couple hours cleaning 2 limits of panfish with a buddy just to get maybe 3-4# of fillets.
      Bop a 44" and there are 3 foot steaks! ( Don't forget the cheeks!)
      There's a reason Fleet Farm has the Billy clubs in the muskie section 😀
