My partner and I recently got into our first apartment after being full time travelers and van lifers. We constantly discuss how it feels like we lost our purpose in life now that we aren’t traveling. The rest of the world wants you to find a purpose through a “career” or 9-5. But we realized that it’ll never be that way for us, and van life is our calling. We both watched this video together and got equally teary eyed watching you get emotional over van life. We can’t wait to save up and build up our next van. Thank you for being such an inspiration to other full time travelers! Can’t wait to see you hit the road again
Totally feel you frienddd - life is a lot of different phases and nothing is forever .. it’s worth it for the lessons learned.. you wouldn’t know freedom unless you felt unfree at times
My only word of advice is, don't run from your problems but instead face them. They will continue to creep up in future relationships. Be careful not to use van life or anything else as an escape from hard or uncomfortable situations. We grow when we persevere and it's not always about pleasure seeking
I guess it can be hard to tell whether you are running from your problems or just a true nomad at heart. It could actually be a mixture of both for some people.

Because you said that neither one of you have ever really like had a long-standing relationship because of your guy’s health situations. So don’t be down on yourself for trying it out! It was new to both of you and if it’s not working out or taking away your happiness then maybe it’s time to take a break from it. I am totally relate. I did van life full time for almost two years. It was the best time of my life. I was so happy and free. Then I got an apartment and met a guy who has turned my life upside down. It's hard to want to say goodbye to him but I desperately want to go back to van life and be alone again. I'm tired of taking g care of other people and not focusing on my own happiness. I think you should absolutely follow your heart and put yourself before anyone else. Learn your lesson and enjoy life to the fullest. Sending much love
From home owner to full time Skoolie living, I’ve found that it’s really hard to go from one extreme to the other for a long period of time. Only a suggestion…buy some land that doesn’t strap you fully down, Morgan could build a tiny house type deal, and you would have a home base to reset when full time travel gets to be too much.
The amount of cute doggo shots in this vlog greatly pleases me. Your openness is so refreshing and I found myself nodding my head in agreement to the words you spoke about life on the road. It’s hard to settle down after experiencing a nomadic lifestyle...I want to feel that constant state of excitement again - of not knowing who the heck you’ll meet or where you’ll be the next day. It’s much better than that other feeling - the pressure of staying in one place and the guilt of feeling you’re settling instead of adventuring/growing. I’m breaking back into the lifestyle and I don’t have any plans to look back. Thanks for making this.
We all felt it. Especially your long term viewers, life is about learning and lessons. You can’t feel bad because you haven’t done anything to feel bad. Obviously if your to stay in that situation, your doing more harm then good. It’s better to be open and honest with yourself and Morgan. Seeing you back in the van and the joy it brings you is great. I’ll be honest, when you moved away from that, I slowly stopped watching and I wasn’t really sure why, but I think it was because I could somehow tell you weren’t doing what makes you happy. I know ending something and splitting up belongings, breaking leases etc can seen complicated, but I cannot stress enough the RELIEF that comes afterward when you are done with something you know was making you unhappy.

I’m a new subscriber but you inspire me a lot! 💛 I was homeless for a year, wasn’t planned and in a bad relationship. But looking back I’ve found the beauty & good in it. I think as long as u have a safe place to sleep at night and food/water - the freedom it can bring, esp from economic and societal burdens, is such an impactful experience. There’s so much appeal to vanlife it’s ridiculous I’d say - Do what makes you happy now, and you’ll be able deal w whatever goes along w that.. wishing u the best! Something that I really struggle with is making my life all about my partner, and then when I'm not seeing someone I feel completely lost and empty. So the opposite of what you're going through it seems. You're a big inspiration to a ton of people, if I had the means to be doing van life right now I definitely would but I hope to try it out in the future! But anyways yeah I hope 2022 (also side note what the fuck how is it 2022 already lol ew) will be the year of everyone being able to find peace in themselves and doing what we want to do for us, everything else will fall into place ✨

I just found your vlog and channel. I absolutely adore your vibe and energy. I can feel your frustration at the end and you are spot on. If it doesn't feel right and it doesn't bring you peace and happiness then you know what you need to do. Simplify and shed the toxicity. The part about learning something is exactly right. Each experience, each encounter is a lesson that we all must learn. Some good, some bad. Embrace it all and be grateful. Now go re-connect with your happy place.
Unfortunately, somethings in life are only meant for a season; bringing joy, learning and sometimes the reason. All the "stuff" can be sold online or bought by the one that wants to keep it. Split it all up and try not to let the "issues" affect the decision making. It feels better when it ends friendly and not filled with anger. I so totally understand the pet concerns though. They are your heart and very much like your children. That to me is the only true part that makes a split so damn difficult and painful. You're right, you did get the gift of a 2nd chance at life. Life is definitely a learning experience, I wish I would of taken a different path when I was younger. Try not to live with regrets or the past, take the positives out of it and leave the rest behind. Focus on you and what makes you happy. I feel into buying a house as well and soon found out it’s not what I really wanted in life. My family and I are currently renting a small place we live in pretty much part time and am currently building out a transit van to travel in and meet cool people like yourself. if this is any consolation or if you read it, but i was full time van lifing for the first time in other states n i stopped to come back n live in an apartment w my girlfriend n sold the van things were very chaotic until now i’m back in another van and i’m much happier. you’ll get through this,
My buddy is about to live in a van. He’s excited but doesn’t want me following him and sneaking in to his van while he’s sleeping. I hope he drops the restraining order.
Who cares about the things you bought together? Do you really want your money back? Lol! Let him have everything. If he doesn't want it then take it all and sell it. Don't fight over anything that's not living. If you're leaving before the lease ends then you have to pay your half of the rent until it's up but you don't have to live there. The pets make things more complicated but if he really wants them and you can't take them, then let him have them. Don't give each other any reason to continue to fight after you leave.
You just got new subscriber in me after couple nights watching your vids. Wish at your age younger (no regrets) I had done similar to you that I ended up doing later in life, mine was 2010 a truck camper 2 years 35,000 road miles, had been "sick" 8 years prior so "picked a road to get lost and found myself along the way", that was going thru divorce, did what had to be done for me. Kinda lost again, 9 years place rural in colorado mountains off grid, father passed one year and one day ago, think I'll sell my place and back to the road for awhile. The way you speak is inspiration, wise and doing what's best to enjoy life to the fullest. Haven't been enjoying lately so time for change here. Thank you.

You have to do what is right for you, otherwise the situation can turn toxic and full of resentment and that is no good for either of you, I don’t know either of you, apart from social media, but you both seem lovely and both deserve happiness. What is the point in living if you do not do atleast 1 thing that makes you happy? I am in my 30s and even tho i am financialy stable and living independant since my 20s i have a lot of emotional shit i have to deal with daily that some people problems compared to mine are a joke. You dont have to break up or leave your pets, just go on a monthly road trip alone once or twice a year you do not have to drag him.
Great video, Stephi! Perhaps art exhibits of your work while on the road could be a thing? I bought a Native American sand painting at a highway pull off in AZ, made by a local artist using local materials and laid out on a blanket. That was a long time ago, and it's still a favorite of mine. Whatever you do, you'll do it well. Happy Trails to You!

What a time to get with him, when you both were discovering that you have a new least on life and how that felt for you both. It's ok to go through the ebbs and flows of life. That place looks amazing, I only live 2hrs or so away from st.Pete/Tampa. You need to do what makes you happy. The fact that you said you wish you could go back in time.. thats a sign that you really don't wanna stay and need to leave so you can be happy.
I lived off grid for about 8 months straight. I loved it and thrived amazingly. I am now living in an apartment with my wife and children and it feels like a prison sometimes, not having that freedom I once used to love. But I love having my family so much now too, so the trade off is what it is.

It will take time as it takes resources. I am in southern california with a mundane life in which i have a "box on a parcel of land to put my stuff in & sleep nightly which i own" ..... the american dream for most
Of all people who knows how short life is, it is you and Morgan. If the van is calling the strongest go. It is a waste of time trying to stay in any relationships that don't work. Morgan and you need to agree you are not working. You can stay friends if your brain decides that Both of you can do that. It feels so good when the both work together. You will still love him but from a far. Some people should have stayed friends. You learn that after it is time to move on. But that is ok. What ever you can not take with you in the van, give to Morgan or donate to Habitat or something. Material things come and go. Both of you needed something what was in the relationship. But that does not mean you have to stay together as a couple for ever once the lesson is over. If staying together will contaminate your friendship. Move on.
Steph, if your not happy with him then you know what you need to do. If you can work it out, I would do that. You can go on fun van life adventures and still own a home too. Life is to precious as you well know not to enjoy it.🙂🥰

We are literally the same. I had selective mutism when younger but was never properly diagnosed then when i got older i found documents my parents had about me from years ago in school about me being mute. I wish I could just travel around, but I also want a stable place to call home. I want to buy my own house and spend half my time traveling and renting out my home, and the other half on the road. Maybe you two are just spending too much time together, but that’s for you to decide. Always wish you the best!

I fell your heart so deeply...I am leaving march 11th for 2 weeks to live in my jeep. I'm heading to Asheville because I'm an artist and have always wanted to visit there. I'm scared but the call to do it is stronger than the fear. I'm very unhealthy and have been learning a lot about juicing and I've been starting to juice everyday. I wanna tale my 2 weeks in march and really focus on building a new routine for myself of healthy habits. Ive enjoyed you journey and I'm super stoked your healthier than you've ever been. This is the hard thing about life as a solo traveler. I love it so much but it makes it really hard to become close with people…friends, relationships, it’s just hard long distance is just not the same. It’s a very hard choice sometimes

The amount of cute doggo shots in this vlog greatly pleases me. Your openness is so refreshing and I found myself nodding my head in agreement to the words you spoke about life on the road. It’s hard to settle down after experiencing a nomadic lifestyle...I want to feel that constant state of excitement again - of not knowing who the heck you’ll meet or where you’ll be the next day. It’s much better than that other feeling - the pressure of staying in one place and the guilt of feeling you’re settling instead of adventuring/growing. I’m breaking back into the lifestyle and I don’t have any plans to look back. Thanks for making this.

We all felt it. Especially your long term viewers, life is about learning and lessons. You can’t feel bad because you haven’t done anything to feel bad. Obviously if your to stay in that situation, your doing more harm then good.

Seeing you back in the van and the joy it brings you is great. I’ll be honest, when you moved away from that, I slowly stopped watching and I wasn’t really sure why, but I think it was because I could somehow tell you weren’t doing what makes you happy. I know ending something and splitting up belongings, breaking leases etc can seen complicated, but I cannot stress enough the RELIEF that comes afterward when you are done with something you know was making you unhappy.

I’m a new subscriber but you inspire me a lot! 💛 I was homeless for a year, wasn’t planned and in a bad relationship. But looking back I’ve found the beauty & good in it. I think as long as u have a safe place to sleep at night and food/water - the freedom it can bring, esp from economic and societal burdens, is such an impactful experience. There’s so much appeal to vanlife it’s ridiculous

Something that I really struggle with is making my life all about my partner, and then when I'm not seeing someone I feel completely lost and empty. So the opposite of what you're going through it seems. You're a big inspiration to a ton of people, if I had the means to be doing van life right now I definitely would but I hope to try it out in the future! But anyways yeah I hope 2022 (also side note what the fuck how is it 2022 already lol ew) will be the year of everyone being able to find peace in themselves and doing what we want to do for us, everything else will fall into place ✨

I just found your vlog and channel. I absolutely adore your vibe and energy. I can feel your frustration at the end and you are spot on. If it doesn't feel right and it doesn't bring you peace and happiness then you know what you need to do. Simplify and shed the toxicity. The part about learning something is exactly right. Each experience, each encounter is a lesson that we all must learn. Some good, some bad. Embrace it all and be grateful. Now go re-connect with your happy place.
Unfortunately, somethings in life are only meant for a season; bringing joy, learning and sometimes the reason.
All the "stuff" can be sold online or bought by the one that wants to keep it. Split it all up and try not to let the "issues" affect the decision making. It feels better when it ends friendly and not filled with anger.
I so totally understand the pet concerns though. They are your heart and very much like your children. That to me is the only true part that makes a split so damn difficult and painful.
You're right, you did get the gift of a 2nd chance at life. Never let that feel to you as though it was ever wasted.

Life is definitely a learning experience, I wish I would of taken a different path when I was younger.
Try not to live with regrets or the past, take the positives out of it and leave the rest behind. Focus on you and what makes you happy.
I feel into buying a house as well and soon found out it’s not what I really wanted in life. My family and I are currently renting a small place we live in pretty much part time and am currently building out a transit van to travel in and meet cool people like yourself.

if this is any consolation or if you read it, but i was full time van lifing for the first time in other states n i stopped to come back n live in an apartment w my girlfriend n sold the van things were very chaotic until now i’m back in another van and i’m much happier. you’ll get through this,
My buddy is about to live in a van. He’s excited but doesn’t want me following him and sneaking in to his van while he’s sleeping. I hope he drops the restraining order.
Who cares about the things you bought together? Do you really want your money back? Lol! Let him have everything. If he doesn't want it then take it all and sell it. Don't fight over anything that's not living. If you're leaving before the lease ends then you have to pay your half of the rent until it's up but you don't have to live there. The pets make things more complicated but if he really wants them and you can't take them, then let him have them. Don't give each other any reason to continue to fight after you leave.
You just got new subscriber in me after couple nights watching your vids. Wish at your age younger (no regrets) I had done similar to you that I ended up doing later in life, mine was 2010 a truck camper 2 years 35,000 road miles, had been "sick" 8 years prior so "picked a road to get lost and found myself along the way", that was going thru divorce, did what had to be done for me. Kinda lost again, 9 years place rural in colorado mountains off grid, father passed one year and one day ago, think I'll sell my place and back to the road for awhile.

You have to do what is right for you, otherwise the situation can turn toxic and full of resentment and that is no good for either of you, I don’t know either of you, apart from social media, but you both seem lovely and both deserve happiness. What is the point in living if you do not do atleast 1 thing that makes you happy? I am in my 30s and even tho i am financialy stable and living independant since my 20s i have a lot of emotional shit i have to deal with daily that some people problems compared to mine are a joke. You dont have to break up or leave your pets, just go on a monthly road trip alone once or twice a year you do not have to drag him.
Great video, Stephi! Perhaps art exhibits of your work while on the road could be a thing? I bought a Native American sand painting at a highway pull off in AZ, made by a local artist using local materials and laid out on a blanket. That was a long time ago, and it's still a favorite of mine. Whatever you do, you'll do it well. Happy Trails to You!

I think if any situation doesn't feel right anymore we can look to see what the lesson was there that we learned. I am sure you and Morgan learned so much from each other. What a time to get with him, when you both were discovering that you have a new least on life and how that felt for you both. It's ok to go through the ebbs and flows of life. We come and go into people's lives and experience what we were there for. The journey continues! Beautiful!

That place looks amazing, I only live 2hrs or so away from st.Pete/Tampa. You need to do what makes you happy. The fact that you said you wish you could go back in time.. thats a sign that you really don't wanna stay and need to leave so you can be happy.
I lived off grid for about 8 months straight. I loved it and thrived amazingly. I am now living in an apartment with my wife and children and it feels like a prison sometimes, not having that freedom I once used to love. But I love having my family so much now too, so the trade off is what it is.

Now, in 2022- i'm trying to put myself back into 2014 form. It will take time as it takes resources.

Of all people who knows how short life is, it is you and Morgan. If the van is calling the strongest go. It is a waste of time trying to stay in any relationships that don't work. Morgan and you need to agree you are not working. You can stay friends if your brain decides that Both of you can do that. It feels so good when the both work together. You will still love him but from a far. Some people should have stayed friends. You learn that after it is time to move on. But that is ok. What ever you can not take with you in the van, give to Morgan or donate to Habitat or something. Material things come and go.
Both of you needed something what was in the relationship. But that does not mean you have to stay together as a couple for ever once the lesson is over.
If staying together will contaminate your friendship. Move on.
Steph, if your not happy with him then you know what you need to do. If you can work it out, I would do that. You can go on fun van life adventures and still own a home too. Life is to precious as you well know not to enjoy it.🙂🥰

It doesn’t preclude travel and adventure it just requires coordinating with another’s viewpoints. Don’t throw out the good because of your itchy feet to travel. I know the feeling. I have 4 ex wives. Just consider all options before you jump ship. May you find what you seek. That’s the challenge of life. Balance.

I had selective mutism when younger but was never properly diagnosed then when i got older i found documents my parents had about me from years ago in school about me being mute. I fell your heart so deeply...I am leaving march 11th for 2 weeks to live in my jeep. I'm heading to Asheville because I'm an artist and have always wanted to visit there. I'm scared but the call to do it is stronger than the fear. I'm very unhealthy and have been learning a lot about juicing and I've been starting to juice everyday. I wanna tale my 2 weeks in march and really focus on building a new routine for myself of healthy habits. Ive enjoyed you journey and I'm super stoked your healthier than you've ever been. This is the hard thing about life as a solo traveler. I love it so much but it makes it really hard to become close with people…friends, relationships, it’s just hard long distance is just not the same. It’s a very hard choice sometimes
