For several years, Fraser has spread comfort, compassionate care and joy to the faces of countless patients and staff at Chippenham and Johnston-Willis Hospitals from Tucker Pavilion and the Thomas Johns Cancer Hospital to many other areas. There's nothing like a dog to lift your spirit.
My personal opinion every therapy dog is worth there weight in gold, the good they do is unmeasurable.
This was so sweet, it made me cry. The one person who disliked it is clearly off his meds to hate on this video or dog.

Fraser can come home every night proud of all the good he did that day. How many of us can say the same about ourselves?
It made me cry and think about all the things that I have to be personally grateful for.
This video just shows the loyalty, affection and unconditional love that dogs bring to people. It made me cry to see the ill people and the joy that this dog brought to them. Amazing.
THE KID NEEDS COUNSELING.
Dogs are the best creature on this planet. They don't care how you look, they don't judge, they only want to love you and be loved. They are the living embodiment of unconditional love. I don't think there is any greater creation than dogs. They are called man's best friend for a reason.

So cute at the 2:30 point in the video when Fraser acted as a "demonstration model" (aka "guinea pig" LOL) to show the little boy how the various medical examination "tools" are used, and they are nothing to be afraid of. I think it worked. Fraser is a beautiful black lab, with a calm, sweet disposition.

Every single example here is priceless but I have to give a particular shoutout to that brave boy. As someone who had surgeries as a child and was terrified of routine exams, seeing this boy watch the dog have the same exams and then be able to be the doctor for the dog all while learning to be brave to allow the tests to be done on him makes all the time and effort to have these dogs beyond worth it.

Dogs are such a blessing
In Rehab - a nurse brought her Maltese to work so he was minded by A volunteer. His job was visiting all the patients. I saw the faces of the Dementia patients light up as they enjoyed a pat from this little ball of fluff. I have seen Arthritic hands straighten with the use of a therapy dog to pat. Best therapy for all ages & the oldies re-live their childhoods.

Several years ago I had been in a skilled nursing facility after my sixth surgery on my G. I. System,I had spent Thanksgiving,Christmas,and New Year’s Eve there , my son would come to visit when he could ,but he worked 80:or 90 hours a week,around Christmas time a man came in with a Papillon dog,he have me a candy cane ,and the dog came right up and sat on my lap,it was the best medicine I could have at that tine,thank god for people and sweet dogs like this .

This is why many I like animals more than I like humans. I like most kinds of animals like dogs, deer, horses, cows, sheep, goats, elephants, giraffes, dolphins, whales, etc.. Because they love unconditionally and expect nothing in return and they are very giving and very unselfish

Marie-Christine Meier. Please look into legitimate therapy dog organizations such as Therapy Dogs International or many local organizations. BTW...CGC I assume means Canine Good Citizen. an award from the American Kennel Club . It is not a therapy dog Certification. If the team in the video is certified by an organization Other than AKC CGC...that vest should be changed and the team's credentials should be seen in video.
I know what its like currently to fight to live n alone (ChronsDisease n mesh ) no one hears u and I'm yelling I'm ready to quit ....I'm tired ... This makes me cry cause I know alone n soon I'ma give up or kill myself.. I need a dog

Beautiful Black Lab!! Kudos to his dad who trained him and takes him to the hospital!!! One of my goals is to someday be well enough myself to get a dog (my Golden Retriever died of cancer 4 yrs ago), train it and then take the dog to visit people, as a therapy dog. Animals just exude such love & make people so happy! Whoever voted "dislike " regarding this video was just trying to be an obnoxious jerk. Ignore him or her! There's nothing to dislike about this video!!

I had a Service dog when I was younger named Roxie every time I was admitted into the hospital my parents would bring Her to the hospital to stay with me. Every time they would go into the hallways she always stopped at different Rooms and not move. She was 60lb stubborn so my parents would ask the nurse if the patient in that room would like a visit from her and every room she went into always would cuddle with the patients and every patient she visited always told my parents thank you and they needed a good dog cuddles.

We Recently completed therapy dog class offered by an AKC certified dog training club associated with national therapy organization. Before you can take the therapy class, you need to take CGC (canine good citizens) test. To take CGC test your dog should complete level 1 and Level 2 obedience. I repeated twice to build a strong foundation of basic obedience. We recently started competing in rally which is a fun way to reinforce commands and are also taking competition obedience. Therapy class was 6 weeks and an 8 hour class for handler. AKC evaluator will test you and your dog. Only 2 dogs/handlers passed in our class.

Our Great Pyrenees is also a therapy dog. She does good work at our local hospital.
Thank you for the great work you are doing now for the sick people in the hospital then and now ok? They had a hospital in Buffalo New York that had a dog that did that kind of life and health care for the sick people? I know because when my mom was in the hospital they had a dog come to the room and seen her and it helped her to get better
My mom was visited by a friendly little pug when she was in the hospital.
I approve of therapy dogs...as long as the dog is getting what it needs too. They shouldn't be treated like a thing to sit and wait for the majority of the day till they are needed by the owner with physical or emotional need. I'm sure most are loved unconditionally....I just hope they get their needs met as well....they are too special.

My dog isn’t a registered therapy dog but a local nursing home in our area let’s us bring our dog in every Saturday
