Lichtlaerm Audio has been absolutely crushing the pedal game this year, and I am so proud of Daniel and the team for breaking from tradition with their circuit reworks. I also came here to say that the Archon actually sounded awesome with AND without the Medusa, which surprised me. I've not been much of an Archon guy based on the videos I've seen, but the MT15 largely gets it. Anyway, I'll stop jabbering. Good video, sir, -Joel
Thanks for the kind words, man! There's gonna be a tiny loop back to our rework tradition, tho: all pedals with 2 functions will have 2 separate LED's as people kept asking for that and while doing that we also replaced the golden labels with white ones in the golden artwork to make them better visible!
Another great video and understand you using the PRS amp, yeah it's Vanilla A.F. for such a pricey amp. Pedal has a lot of great features imo, would love to hear it on either a Mesa Dual or an ENGL Powerball
Sounds really good, I found a THE Crustifixtion hits the sweet spot for tweakable hm2 to my ears. Would love to see the Medusa in a shootout with it and some AIB CustomFX saw pedals!
Thanks man! We're good friends with both THE and AIB so I'd see it more as a friendly competition if anyone would do this - all three of us love gnarly sounds but always give our own spin on these! Nothing but love for both companies from my side
Not surprised the top notch dirt wizards are friends. Excited to try the Altar when it arrives, had to order one after hearing some demos and seeing that I don't own a muff.
I have literally seen 3 reviews of youtubers doing completely different things with this pedal. This look so ridiculously versatile that I'm going to have to fork out money for one as soon as I can afford it. lol
Guess I didn’t look hard enough. Is there a dealer in the United States that has them? I didn’t see them listed at east side or maybe I just missed them.
thanks - it's a bit of our approach: offer as much as possible (incl. stuff that others don't) in a compact and easy to dial in package and then try to price them as fairly as possible :)
Hey Taylor… I love what you do. Thanks. I’m more of a doom metal guy. Funeral, ambient, death/doom and symphonic. Is this something that would be useful for doom? I currently play an Ironheart and love that Laney tone. #IronheartFanboy
Sounds great, but damn all those knobs and switches don’t leave much room for your foot to actually step on the pedal. I guess goth boots are out and winklepickers in? 😂
No need to worry - there’s plenty of space as the two switches are sub-mini and out of the way! No real risk here - and believe me: I design stuff to survive my own clumsiness 😅
I'm betting it is a "Chug Damper" from Solar Guitars. You can buy 1 when you order a guitar from Solar. I don't know why they don't flood the market since it's a cheap-to-manufacrure product that people want.
@@DavidAllenMD I'd probably gouge m eyes out before selling through GC after all the horror stories I've heard online... so he's talking about the Archon for sure! Eastside Music Supply is our exclusive US-dealer :) btw: also not a fan of the Archon: it's vanilla but also a bit too much of everything: loose low end, piercing in the highs and strange, woofy mids. There's people who like 'em but they're just not for me!
650 in what currency? it's 199 euro.Cheaper if you buy from a dealer and dont pay excess shipping. 219 usd from east side ,even in my currency its under 400 and our dollar buys .60 USD :)
@@sinistrousdiabolus he's referencing to the predecessor probably! They sold for over 600 on reverb (like actually sold - not just been on there forever) which is why we wanted to release a follow-up for sure but wanted to improve all the features of the original :)

@danielringl8501 even better! I'm loving the 4 band EQ idea you have used on so many pedals. Someday I shall own one.
Chug enhancer.
I think you did the best review of this than anyone else on RUclips. Nobody else really mentions the blend knob which was a huge selling point for me
Thanks dude, I do my best 🥳
True story... Makes me want one... 🤔 Taylor usually seems to work hard, be honest, and do in depth reviews...
Mine arrived Saturday. Pairs well with the Gehenna and most fuzz pedals. Lichtlaerm are next level for sure. Great vid as always!
Thank you so much, man! Means the world!
That were some nasty tasty tones right there! Well done!

Sounds better straight thru the amp to be honest. More chug, more lows.

Lichtlaerm is killing it with their pedals! Hoping some more king in yellow overdrives will be available soon!
they're available at the shop and at all our dealers :)

Easy Side has them for sure! Could be sold out right now but we’re sending out a full restock this week 🙂
Awesome, yes they were sold out but I’ll be checking their site now that I know more are on the way
Sounds insane and super tweakable. I want one.
thanks
Dude! Awesome pedal! BUT why don't you have a video about your Krank rev1+ on your channel? Please make it!
Bear Hampton designed an hm2 on par with Dunwich with an fx loop. Love this company. But not the first hm2 style pedal with an fx loop built in.
Sick Void shirt
I love the riff!
Awesome pedal
Seriously tempting pedal... So many knobs on a little pedal, very teakable... Dang...

archon with a drive literally is a different amp probably many said was blaaa on test drive without a drive in front

The deluxe HM2 that didnt have to shout about it :)

Dope pedal but yes the archon is vanilla af its git the ear piercing quality to it actually even the pedal sounds bad

that's the style of these - still way less fuzzy than the original HM2 :)
