Budget Theremin changing sounds

- hi folks, I had a viewer request a walkthrough on how to access the different sounds on the AliExpress Theremin. I know that's not the official brand but they tend to sell 20 of the same product with a different oddly spelled brand on each.
I haven't screwed around with too many of the other controls or settings yet except to extend the note range lower. this thing can make some seriously deep tones.
I tried to get a close up shot of the theremin screen but bringing the camera any closer actually affected the motion needed for playing this device!

Definitely not my best work. Itry to do a better job balancing speaking and playing in other videos. Filming the screen on this was challenging because i couldn't put the phone camera closer to the device without it interfering with the theremin signal. So using digital zoom did not do us any favors with clarity.
-IF- there's a specific function you're interested in I have been meaning to revisit this device with the extended antenna I purchased for it. Not sure if it helped the clarity of the signal or not

Спасибо за видео. Недавно я приобрела такой терменвокс с али, и я хотела бы спросить, как его подключить к наушникам? Почему-то, когда я подключаю наушники - звук пропадает. И еще есть вопрос - отверстие для наушников можно использовать как аналоговый выход?
Edit: I did not see the part about no output for you. If you click left on the Directional pad it mutes the signal, perhaps you bumped that. If not, I can try to dive into the menu to see if there are any settings to adjust for headphone output.
Thanks for watching! There is a headphone jack in the bottom right corner of the screen, under the "🎧" icon. I have used it with headphones and with an output into a mixer (that is how I recorded this video). It works best with a stereo output, but will work with a mono just much quieter! I hope this helps!

can we change the scales?
I was only able to figure out how to change the total range (how many octaves are available) and change whether or not it stuck with individual notes or play everything in between. I never figured out if it could be programmed for scales
Is good to play like a theremin?
I was unable to get the controls as precise as I wanted to really play a tune with it, the range of notes is just so large that it changes so much with the smallest of movements. But, I have had a lot of fun with it for the cost, and enjoy hooking it up to different effect pedals to create ambient moods rather than precise playing.

@@nerdebynatureI'm ordering one asap, apparently the trick is to replace the antenna for a larger one to get better control over pitch. I'm also looking forward to putting it through all kinds of effects. Can't believe it's such a bargain, will fill a gap until the new Stylophone theremin is released 😁
how do you get it to english mine is set to chinese
In "Settings" you can change the language to English
