    I just spent $100 at Bass Pro and didn’t even buy much I’m surprised really how little $100 can buy when buying good lures and top water baits

      When the average lure is over 6$ it racks up fast..I've easily spent 400 on lures n line this season 😂

    what is the difference between popper vs popping frog
    other than the obvious: cover situation.
    if they are very similar, what's the point of throwing a popper over popping frog?

    • @ADKfreeman
      @ADKfreeman 5 дней назад +1

      Poppers have treble hooks, they should be used when vegetation or other cover is not present. A general rule is, when ever you can use treble hooks, do.
      Popping frogs are more for "weedless", when fishing vegetation or other cover like over hanging brush, lay downs etc.

    I have found the Spro popping frog 60 is the perfect size and I have also found myself using them more than the pointed nose frogs except the Terminator Walking Frog Jr. excellent pointed nose frogs and walk great

    Question, I noticed on your popping frog that there is a little rust stain where the hooks come out of the body. Do you have any tips on caring for your lures, making them last longer and not rust?

    Like how you keep the colors simple. Black, white, and natural.

    I can walk a spook all day with my eyes closed. When it comes to frogs it seems to be impossible for me. Tried different line slacks, tried different strength levels to the jerk. Just don’t work, so I just fish it with a hopping action since that’s what it does anyway, and yes. I’ve trimmed one of the legs and even tried no legs 😂 I promise i have great coordination. I’m legit stumped 🤷🏻‍♂️

      I think I get it boss my only suggestion is your rod setup, I kinda went through a similar scenario made adjustments in rod length and med/hvy to heavy depending on the frog size that would be my suggestion

    I add one more color in some of my lakes, the bass eat baby tilapia and they really focus on a yellow belly

    if your going to throw a popping frog in open water why not throw a popper with exposed hooks that will have a better hookup ratio.

    • @BassFishingHQ
      @BassFishingHQ  3 года назад +5

      When I say open water, I typically under overhanging trees and around wood. Sometimes the frog just does better in those situations than a popper. But I do love a popper now
